I was in El Cajon taking care of some business and became hungry. I was craving a sandwich and saw the Deli Belly. The building was attractive and inviting from outside, so I decided to go in and give it a shot. I walked in and was greeted by the friendly staff and asked what was their recommendation. Their Sweet and Smokey sandwich is very popular, but I went with their FA sandwich (corned beef, pastrami and cheddar cheese on white bread). It was absolutely delicious. Deli Belly is rhe real deal. Trust me..being born and raised in New Jersey.....attending high school just 40 minutes from Philadelphia..i know Deli sandwiches.. The sandwiches though...dry and bland. Meat didnt taste fresh and as though they left it out and it dried out a bit. Bread was of cheap quality. The overall taste of the sandwiches left me wanting more. First and last experience with Deli Belly.
