Watching the liquid nitrogen ice cream process was seriously cool, such a unique experience. The two women working behind the counter were fantastic; they were super friendly and offered us samples to help us decide (much appreciated because everything sounded so good!). I went with the fresh mint chip ice cream in a waffle cone and loved every bite. My husband ordered a root beer float with a non-dairy salted caramel-type ice cream (can't quite remember the exact flavor name, but it was delicious!). We took our treats to go and enjoyed them while walking to the car, already talking about how unique and fun this spot was. Unique experience, great service, and fantastic ice cream. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in Redlands!

Everything is packed with flavor, especially the vanilla bean olive oil ice cream which is rich, smooth, and unexpectedly delicious in the best way. I usually go for the mini size, which is perfect for trying multiple flavors without overcommitting. The shop itself is compact but clean and thoughtfully maintained, and the rotating "weird" flavors are exactly what make it worth coming back. Highly recommend if you enjoy creative, adventurous ice cream.

Worth Every Penny - Phenomenal Ice Cream & Fun Atmosphere!…read more The first time I ever tried Lappert's was out in Vegas, and I was hooked immediately. They were so generous with their portions for a surprisingly low price. I ordered a banana split back then, and they doubled every single scoop! On top of that, the ice cream quality is fantastic; it holds up great and doesn't melt into a soup right away. When I heard they opened a location right here in Redlands, CA, I knew we had to go check it out. The Redlands store did not disappoint! The tropical vibes inside are super fun, and the ice cream and treats are just as incredible as I remembered. We grabbed a loaded banana split and a Dole Whip dessert. This was our experience there: https://youtu.be/70kBbH4qrxg?si=Eor-KcPbmZIphZy1

It was a very hot Saturday and some ice cream sounded good. The hours posted state they open at 11am. It was 11:30 and the doors were locked, no employees in sight. Odd, as the lights were on, and the sidewalk signs were out. At least 7 other patrons also tried to enter and all of us were frustrated. With the insulting prices they charge, it might be best to be open and serve customers. After reading a lot of negative reviews it looks like a return visit will not happen. Too many other places to get a cool refreshing treat.

Bahama Bucks, the last of its name in Southern California, is, on my opinion, the best shaved ice place. Period. Been to multiple locations on Oahu and Maui as well, and I'll still take Bahama Bucks. What makes it so different? It's the shaved ice itself. It's just different, once the tutoring touches it, the texture changes to this smooth, almost creamy, texture, yet still shaved ice. And with a plethora of flavorings, and the it's I've tried (Cherry, Strawberry, Mango, Pink Lemonade, Tigers Blood), it just transforms into this luscious dessert. There are also around five different sizes you can get. The small is a good size for I've person, though the regular will be here if you're hungry. Bigger than that and it is made for two people. If you live in the area, definitely go to Bahama Bucks and enjoy their amazing shaved ice. Your mouth will be glad you went

Shake Shack Redlands…read more Stopped by Shake Shack in Redlands, CA and had a great experience! There was a small mistake with my order, but when I brought it to their attention, the manager immediately took care of it and changed my order. I really appreciated how quickly and professionally they handled it. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and most had smiles on their faces. A few didn't seem as cheerful, but hey, maybe they were just having a long day. Overall, I love Shake Shack! Their burgers are always top-notch, and the Redlands team was friendly and accommodating. Definitely a good spot when you're craving a delicious burger!

Getting Right To the Point: - WILDLY OVERPRICED…read more- MEDIOCRE FOOD. I've said this before and it is worth stating again: I always have a problem whenever I pay for food that I could have made better myself. If it is a matter of convenience, I could even understand that you may pay a little more (e.g. Starbucks McDonald's, etc.). At Shake Shack, we paid $60 for a family of three. We ordered a Shack Burger, Chicken Burger and a Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Sides were a Onion Rings, Fries and a shake. For the same food at Red Robin, this comes out to approximately $45, for better food and larger quantities. My burger literally fit into the palm of my hand. The chicken sandwich was dry. The rest was OK, but not great. Overall - Red Robin, Famous Dave's and Applebee's easily win over Shake Shack. THE BOTTOM LINE: We would have happily paid $60 for the food. The problem being that, if you're going to charge premium costs, you had better "bring it" with the food. Mind you: right next door is Sosogu Ramen & Japanese BBQ, Amoi Mok Mok, J Riley and the Redlands Public Market - all of whom have better food for lower prices. With average ratings of 3.5 across the board in all locations, I just don't see Shake Shack keeping up with the competition - but this is merely a personal observation. Sorry - just being honest.
