Great place for some Vietnamese food. There's a ton of parking since it's next door to the Seafood City grocery store. The inside space is clean and quite large with plenty of seating. I ordered the BBH and loved it- not too spicy and had a good amount of food. It's the perfect comfort food on colder Chicago days. Service was friendly and quick. read more

They have really good com tam here! The pork was delicious and they gave plenty of nuoc mam (seasoned fish sauce). I was so full afterwards. It's in an unassuming location right next to Seafood City. They share a parking lot so there's plenty of parking. Service was pretty quick. Bathroom has a nice speaker system but could have been a little cleaner. We placed an order for carry out and even though there was a bit of a mix up, they quickly corrected the issue. We had the shrimp spring rolls and they were so fresh and light The shrimp with crunchy vegetables were excellent . The Pho was absolutely delicious, me and the fam got the vegan one with tofu fried rice and it was so good and filling we actually didn't even finish the food and ended up eating it the next day which was really good even though it wasn't fresh! The staff here is very sweet. They seem to be relatively new so they are open to listening to what they can work on. Went with a group of 5 people. We ordered the banh canh tom cua, banh mi bo kho, hu tieu bo kho and com dia canh ga chien. The rice they make for the com dia is really good. They give you lots of big pieces of meat for the bo kho. Go to spot for some delicious pho right in the seafood city plaza. Came here and ordered grilled beef spring rolls, pho, and beef banh mi. The pho was very flavorful and for the size, the price was good. The banh mi was made with a buttery soft baguette that was good as well. This place is located inside an empty strip mall. I walked inside the building and I saw plenty of unrented stalls. Looking at it makes to find another place to eat. But I decided to dine in. They have plenty of items in thier menu. And the food is also good and taste better. The quiet, empty mall vibe is a plus--it's like an escape from the usual busyness of the area, letting you just relax and enjoy the meal. The phở is rich and full of flavor, the bún bowls are fresh and satisfying, and the bún riêu is a standout. As a Vietnamese-American, I might not be the best judge of "true authenticity," but I know what I like--and this place hits the mark. Delicious PHO is located inside a Filipino plaza, it's not crowded, and has plenty of parking. While I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, it's got better pho than anything near downtown Chicago. Uptown is still better if I'm going to make a trek. The flavor was good but the soup wasn't as hot as I wished it were, and the short rib was a bit small. Was hesitant to try this place. But it turned out to be alright. In retrospect, I should've gotten a pho dish with less meat but the rib one just looked too good. The noodles were a little raw in the beginning when they first bought out the bowl but they softened up perfectly in the minute or with that hot broth. I can't tell if they actually boil meat and bone to make the broth or not but nonetheless, the food was still good. It's inside a small walk in mall next to seafood city so its a little bit off the beaten path but give them a shot. read more

This large restaurant is hidden inside a shopping plaza next to Seafood City. It may look dark from the outside due to vacant storefronts, but once you step in, you will spot the bright, clean, spacious pho restaurant on the left. The pho is truly delicious, with beefy flavor, great umami, and assertive notes of cinnamon. I recommend (P8) pho with sliced beef, melt in your mouth tendon, and soft homemade meatballs. The generous bowl of noodle soup is accompanied with all the herbs and vegetables expected (bean sprouts, Thai basil, lime, sliced jalapeños). While the soup is perfect as is, there are plenty of condiments on the table for you to create your own version of perfection. If your appetite is large, go ahead and order the egg rolls. These thin, crispy egg rolls are full of pork and carrots. Very nice flavor. Service here can be a little slow and easy paced. Luckily the restaurant is not crowded nor busy, so you will be served in an acceptable time. If you are in a hurry, use polite signals and body language. read more

I have eaten here several times and have always had great food. The dishes are never pre made but are always prepared to order. The ingredients are fresh and cooked properly. I have to eat gluten free and this restaurant has been able to modify my favorite dishes so that I can enjoy their truly delicious food. I love their vegan spring rolls with tofu and they make a fish sauce for dipping to replace the non-gf regular dipping sauce. I have had several of the noodle dishes and they use gf rice noodles and, again, modify the sauce if necessary. I particularly love their #V11 and V12 (V12 modified with rice noodles). My husband loves their deep fried chicken with garlic rice which comes out crispy and juicy. He also loves their seafood soup with egg noodles. We eat here at least once a month. Easy to park in the huge lot. The service is excellent and it's a great place to take kids. read more
