Some of the best donuts on Potranco, and a must for folks in the Sea World area. I take my daughter to this shop on weekends and it's always a highlight to our morning routine. This particular Saturday morning my 5yr old daughter was holding the box of donuts when it spilled open as we were walking out the door. The staff quickly and kindly replaced my order, and I gotta say how grateful we are to have such a wonderful business so close to our house. Thank you guys so much read more

This place is amazing! We went on a Saturday to take my toddler because we promised him we would go if he stopped using a bottle. He was getting antsy waiting his turn and the young man gave him a donut hole to eat while we waited then gave him a few to take home for being a big boy with no bottle. It was the cutest! Just moved back here- my wife dropped in to get half a dozen for the fam. It's small. They told her they were open 7 days a week. You pay in cash so you get a discount or get a surcharge for using your credit. She went near closing. The donuts were good. Not too pricey. Half a dizen was a lil over $7 by paying cash. read more

First of all the establishment is always clean and the service and food is good However after coming almost 2 years, I was really disappointed that my order last week was for boudin and I ended up with three sausage kolaches instead of what I want it so I spent $17 on something that I didn't ask for and when I went back in this week and told the lady at the register what happened she thought it was funny and I knew she was gonna make things right but she didn't instead she offered a free donut now we both know that what I paid for the kolaches did not add up to the cost of one doughnut, and I did not want a doughnut. She should have replaced the that I did not ask for, but was given instead of being told, they did not have what I wanted. It appears that I was given something. Very disappointed in the service read more

I have been to this location maybe 4 times. The donuts are okay, a little bit pricey. I would guess they are about $1.50 each. There was not a very wide variety of donut options, but the cinnamon and sugar donut was soooo good! Service was quick, and they were very patient with my 7 year old daughter who was choosing donuts for her bday party! read more

Stopped by for my first visit on a Saturday afternoon. Had heard great things about this place. It was very clean. The girl taking my order was very friendly and sweet. Was pleased to the variety of freshly made donuts and pastries. At Delightful Donut they have taken the kolache a step further by replacing the bun with a light and flakey croissant. If you ask me, that's a level up from the traditional kolache as we know it. Their beverages are top notch too. I appreciate the option to knock down the sugar content in the matcha I got. The employees were friendly and patient when my littles we're trying to decide which donut they wanted and with me when I was deciding what iced coffee I wanted hahaha The donuts we ordered were fresh and tasty. I brought my daughter in this morning for breakfast. They have a steady amount of customers come through. Some seem regular. When we placed our orders, the lady warmed our food up just before she gave it to us.. man oh man am I glad she did!! My kolache was so soft and the bread was very delicious. The bread tasted like it just came out of the bakers oven. My daughter had the ham, egg and cheese croissant. The croissant was super fresh and flavorful. A-ok! We stooped for breakfast on our way to the zoo. I liked my jalapeño sausage kolache (large one). My husband had the Boudain kolache and liked that it wasn't too spicy. The Apple Fritters at Delightful Donut are exceptional! Cooked just right, soft chewy chucks of apple, melt-in-your-mouth centers and crispy outside edges with just the right amount of glaze. Too much glaze will ruin a fritter. It's not about the glaze, not about dough, it's the apples dummy. Great service - Highly recommended. read more

I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon right before Super Donut was about to close. I'd been meaning to stop in for awhile but just hadn't had the opportunity. My experience may not be typical because I came it fairly late and after the nearby church let out. In any event, the pickings were slim when I arrived. Good thing I only really like chocolate donuts because that's all they had left. So I ordered a couple of those and one kolache. The donut was ok. Nothing special. Better than Dunkin but not Shipley's IMO. Krispy Kreme isn't something I'd compare these to because KK is just sugar passing as a donut IMO. The dough was soft and it tasted freshly made which was nice. The chocolate topping was tasty as well. It seemed handmade as opposed to store bought icing is that makes sense. The kolache was kinda bland. It was supposed to be jalapeño and cheddar but it ended up being a hot dog with some cheese shoved in the center. They have nothing on Buccee's kolaches. Service was fine and the price was reasonable. You should stop in and grab some donuts if you're in the area but ensure you pay attention to their hours. They also have breakfast tacos and a limited selection of other food. Personally, I prefer Shipley's but, as I don't eat donuts too much, it really doesn't matter. But that's not to say anything negative about their donuts. It's just my preference. read more

This is my favorite donut spot in San Antonio, I am so glad we live close by. The donuts are always delicious and fresh. The kolaches are also amazing with a variety of flavors. He's always answered my questions, no matter how silly or inane they might be and has readily offered perspective on different types of coffee or methods to make. I'll forever be grateful for that! Now onto Gold, I was a bit bummed when he wasn't at the trailer but happy he opened up his own shop and started visiting regularly. From its humble beginnings of a few bar stools, limited menu, and a small space to the wide open space that is Gold today, the constants have been killer coffee, awesome service, and great convo if it's not a mad rush. From standard drip to espresso to imaginative inventions, the coffee is top notch. If you're hankering for something different, talk to them a they will take care of you. Staff has always been awesome and they definitely know what they're doing. I once asked about chemex ratios and was given an on the spot class. If you don't like good coffee, good service or a solid place to chill, then this may not be your place. Also, they let me bring my doggo, Pancho, in, what's not to love?!

The Freight building also houses art galleries, studios, a bookstore, a barbershop, and a tattoo shop.

Most of the steam buns are about $5.00 and are good for three bites. The bowls selection reminded me of ordering at Chipotle, but with an Asian flare. The high point was the service. We had a very attentive food runner that cared and was very nice.

As I said, everything was phenomenal. Unfortunately, there is one issue we cannot look past, although we have tried. The bagels are delicious, but they are the absolute wettest, slippery and slidey-est bagels I've ever had in my life. The meal is spent looking down and hoping my beloved or other guests don't see the schmear up to my nose. By the end, we are having to reconstruct our bagel, as it looks like roadkill on the table. It is not a user error, as we eat slowly and carefully. I even have friends who refuse to come back here because it was the messiest eating experience of their lives. It's so unbelievably messy. We have to rinse off in their bathroom before leaving. I have to take my rings off and put my hair up. It's a commitment, one we are not strong enough to make at this point. Delicious, but.... we must bid you farewell, Boss Bagel. Godspeed.

We ordered the Special House Bun with beef, pork, chicken, shrimp and a crispy egg roll. The proportion of vermicelli noodles to fresh lettuce, carrots, cucumber, bean sprouts and peanuts provide d that perfect bite were one ingredient dominated the other. All the proteins were cooked perfectly. The real winner was the lemongrass Banh mi with once again perfectly proportioned ingredients. We also ordered the fresh spring roll, which never came but wasn't missed except that they did try to charge us for but did remove them. They definitely have some work to make this a comfortable dining experience but I wouldn't let it stop you from trying some phenomenal Vietnamese food.
