People working there seemed like they didn't want to be there and bad food considering all 3 of us got sick after eating there.

Was really good when they first opened. But it seems like quality has taken a hit since then. Today I ordered a pulled chicken tray. Fries, and baked beans as a side with toast. Everything seemed to just be lukewarm- room temperature today. The chicken was fattier and greasier than I've had in the past. The beans never taste the same twice, but today they were mediocre at best. The toast was cool, and the butter/oil they add was clearly an afterthought. I'm giving it 3 stars because I know they have better food, but unfortunately quality is not consistent between visits. read more

Worst barbecue I've ever had. Imo. Ordered the burnt ends for carryout during the week before NASCAR. It was before the crowds showed up, so they weren't so busy to justified why they were way undercooked. Come on guys, the idea of low and slow is to render the fat out. "Burnt" these were not. No I do not recommend this place as my experience with their grilled 6 pieces of shrimp that it was overpriced but had indeed been grilled to a good quality. I cannot tell if the shrimp was fresh and not previously frozen. read more

This place is great! Cool atmosphere, live music and awesome BBQ. I enjoyed the 5 different options of bbq sauce on the tables to suit anyone's taste. Wasn't too busy while we were there but it is a small restaurant. There is a patio but I was there at night and was not able to view that. I will definitely be back! My partner and I ended up here on a whim one evening. Both of us being blues fans, as soon as we spotted this place, we had to give it a try. Very bluesy atmosphere, the decor was and authentic. It was fairly crowded when we arrived, but it was a weekend at a freshly opened business, so that is forgiven. We also witnessed the nightly scheduled live performance by a local musician. Very talented guy. The food menu is centered around BBQ, which is up for critique with this Carolina girl. However, considering the area, the food was delish. Definitely one of the better BBQ I have had. Also, those sauces The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is due to size. Everything was so close together that I felt like I was in the way, the entire time; and moving around was awkward. (Mind you, I am 100lbs and 5'2 ). This also caused the noise level to spike. this was my second visit to this place. I must say this is the best BBQ in the tri cities. first time I had the pork and it was amazing , this time I had chicken and it was amazing. also have tried the sausage and it will make a fat man cry it so good. staff is amazing we had a larger table and the waitress was able to help us out to get us a table that would fit our group. I can't stress this enough you must try this place it awesome. the only real negative thing I can say about the place is the house sauce is a little untraditional from what we are use to here in TN I recommend the honey or carolina gold if you are looking for a more TN BBQ flavor. In search of a place for lunch yesterday, my family ran across this place yesterday. I searched Yelp and saw the 4.5 star rating, however, I missed that was from a small 22 reviews. Big mistake. Our food had minimal portions at best. But the worst part was how dried out and overcooked our food was. This included the pork, "homemade" potato chips and even the corn. We were driving through and decided to try this for dinner. My wife had the pork sandwich and I had the brisket sandwich. Even though we got the small sandwich, we had plenty to eat. Overpriced for what it is. Mac and cheese was some of the worst I've ever had at a BBQ place and they charge an extra $1 for a premium side upcharge for it. Soupy, runny, flavorless mac and cheese. In fact I'm pretty sure they are just boiling noodles and dumping white velveeta on them. Ribs were a little on the dry side and just short of fully cooked. You can't rush a rib cook. Let's start off with this. This is my third visit to this wonderful place this week! The first day I went with my husband for supper Absolutely love this restaurant!!! As with some, or in my experience, most BBQ eateries, you kind of expect the BBQ to be dry and that is where the sauce comes in to help it. Not here. This evening was our first time dining here and their pulled pork was so delicious and fall-apart-in-your-mouth good! I tried both the House Sauce and the Carolina Gold and both were so scrumptious! My husband liked all of the sauces (except the Spicy, neither of us are heat mongers so we didnt try it). The loaded potato salad was so so so good! The flavors in the tater salad were on point! The other side I got was the fried corn (just butter) and it to was very good. My husband got the pulled pork tray as I did but he picked the parmesean fried corn and the fried okra. His corn was tasty but that okra. Boy, you talk about mouth watering! So delicious! For desert we got the banana pudding and it to was definitely not a disappointment! So definite 10 out of 10 I would highly recommend this great slice of heaven in Bristol, TN on State Street! Also, their Smoked Chicken Philly is so so delicious! read more

When a place is recommended by another restaurant or you can usually expect that it will be good. I was not disappointed in this selection. It's a cozy, bistro type atmosphere and the brisket was excellent! The entertainer this particular night was also a songwriter so he ain't playing some original songs along with some old time favorites. He definitely added to the positive experience. The wait staff was pleasant, friendly and efficient. The host, concierge, owner car whatever his title was, Troy made me feel very welcome and explained the process to a newcomer. Went for lunch with 3 of my buddies. Our order was a Brisket Sandwich, two Pimento Burgers, a Brisket Platter, and 1/2 lb. of Burnt Ends for the table. Everyone loved their meal! The Pimento Burgers were amazing. The Brisket was juicy and perfectly complimented by their BBQ sauce. The Burnt Ends are a MUST ORDER! A half pound was only enough for like 2-3 pieces each so I regret not ordering a full pound, but they were the best I've had. Staff was also very nice and wore masks. read more
