Partial eaten Sausage Nugget Parmesan appetizer
    Kevin C.

The food was delicious. Loved the red sauce. The sausage nugget appetizer was different & very tasty. Went home with plenty of leftovers. Very casual setting. We sat in a booth in the bar area which we asked for. The place is like an old time restaurant in a residential neighborhood.

Amazing food. Meatballs, fish sandwich with cheese and fry's and an amazing Italian Wedding soup. Carrot cake to bring home with coffee in the morning

The salad portion of my meal was excellent, I would have preferred the chicken to be a little less crispy as it took away from the flavor of the chicken. The burger was perfect. The crab cake was good, but not in my top 5 crab cakes I've ever eaten. The calamari was yummy. The service was impeccable. Would have tried a dessert, but the servings were so ample, there was no room. My husband got the tap and spirit duo and he liked the cider so much he got another cider. I liked that the noise level was not too loud. You can have a normal conversation. Ambiance is really wonderful. Glad we stopped in.

We were seated across from the bar in a cozy booth with a view of the street. Our server was diligent and helpful when we had menu questions. Loved our pizza appetizer. The wood fired texture was amazing. I had my favorite Chicken French with house made pasta. The portions seemed a little smaller than normal but overall a great meal.

We were sat near the fireplace in low chairs with a normal size table. This was very uncomfortable to negotiate and trying to sit up to eat. Don't know - can we just have a normal table and chairs? Our waitress was also a bartender - said she was new and was younger than other wait staff I saw. She was very nice. Ordered an old-fashioned style drink which was god awful. Not sure if they had their wires crossed there or it's just my tastebuds. Ordered the whipped ricotta spread and the mozz fried planks as starters. The focaccia bread that was fried was very good and the spread added to it perfectly. The fried mozzarella was standard to me. For my meal I went with the chicken parm which is served with rigatoni Alfredo here. I really liked the contrast and the red sauce as well as the white were good by themselves as well as mixed. The chicken had a nice fry to it but the lack of sauce ended up some leftover chicken that I left and didn't finish. For dessert I ordered the NY STYLE cheesecake which really wasn't. Don't get me wrong it was good and I polished it, but it wasn't really the rich dense NY style. Overall nice place with a cool ambiance and style to neon signs and black and white check board floors - contrasting with mainstream library charm accents and decor.

From wine tastings to live music and weddings, Ventosa is the perfect destination spot to enjoy a gorgeous view will enjoying delicious wine. I highly recommend during the warmer months since you really will be captivated by their gorgeous view and will be very tempted to sit outside but might lowkey freeze your butt off if you try to when it's not the perfect weather for it. With gorgeous vines and the view of Seneca lake, this place is incredibly beautiful to get married at. We really enjoyed coming here and getting a bottle of their dry Riesling and enjoying the lake view while we had a light lunch. Their cafe food is just ok but I'm happy they do have a variety of hot and fresh food and not just cheese and charcuterie boards (which we love but somethings you just need a little something more). Ordering at the cafe is pretty easy, there's no table service, you order directly at the counter and when the food is ready, it'll get delivered to you. They offer up sandwiches, pizza, wraps and soups to name a few. Bottom line, great spot to enjoy the gorgeous outdoor space while sipping vino, do a little picnic and even hang out with your dog, they're welcome in the outside space only.

Previously drowning in herby butter and serving as the perfect accompaniment to the wings above, it seems there's been a change in recipe. First of all, 3 of the 4 knots in my order had raw, stretchy centers. The outsides were golden and still brushed with herb butter, but now there's a healthy sprinkling of shredded cheese that adds a strange taste. Ordered takeout and my wings were still perfect after the journey home. Hoping for a better experience in the future with my beloved garlic knots. Thus the one star. I ordered beef carpaccio, expecting delicate raw beef. What arrived instead looked like a lonely slice of cold roast beef you'd find sweating under plastic wrap at a deli counter. Not raw. Not delicate. Just confused. The side dishes were served at outdoor temperature, which was impressive considering we were inside. The potatoes and broccoli were so cold they may have skipped the kitchen entirely and come straight from the parking lot. Then there was the steak. Ordered black and blue. What I received was neither black nor blue, but a sad shade of gray, with absolutely zero char. It looked like it had been politely warmed by someone thinking about a grill from afar. And here's the real kicker: Fabio Viviani's name is on this restaurant. If this is what's being served under his banner, someone should check on him to make sure he doesn't have dementia --because this meal looked like it would personally offend him. I can say with confidence: Fabio would not be proud. He might not even admit knowing this place. For a casino restaurant on New Year's Eve--when expectations are already modest--this was still a miss. The room was half empty, the weather was terrible, and somehow the food managed to match the weather perfectly. If you're looking for chilly sides, deli meat carpaccio, and a steak that fears a grill, Portico might be your lucky bet. Otherwise, I'd recommend rolling the dice literally anywhere else.

Let me get to the details: Service: staffs were not attentive, friendly, nor helpful. The restaurant was busy when we came so we decided to seat outside. However, their outdoor tables were wobbly. Also, there were no bugs control devices nor heating lamps to accommodate us. When we asked to move inside, their response was we have to talk to the host and the hostess told us it is not possible because they were "too busy".... Yet we would see an empty table where they rather seat 2 people that come after us instead of us. On top of all that, our sever never came to refill our water. For service, this place is a zero star for me. Food: we ordered their famous heavy plate. The food size was loaded for the price, everything tastes fine but nothing was exceptional. Giving them some stars for the decent food. Atmosphere: inside has lots of booth style seatings and bar seatings. They can accomplish large parties. Outdoor seating is not great as their tables were cheap and they're seating on a slope. There were no heat lamps or bug controls so I don't recommend eating outside in the evening here. Overall: honestly, we felt ignored at this restaurant. I wouldn't come back here since they're not very accommodating or nice. Highly recommend management to train their staffs better.
