I purchased a Groupon for 20 units of Botox at Deluxe Beauty Spa in Irvine because I believed it was a traditional medical spa. However, I left feeling unclear about the qualifications of the person who performed my injections and whether the providers were operating under another individual's medical license. During my appointment, an employee took photos of me and laughed while looking at them, which made me feel embarrassed and uncomfortable. Although I was told I needed more than 20 units, I explained that I only wanted the 20 units I had purchased, focused around my eyes. After the treatment, my eye became swollen and bruised, which has made me concerned about the placement of the injections. Based on my personal experience, I will not return. I strongly encourage others to confirm the injector's name, credentials, and level of experience before receiving any treatment here. read more

After being a loyal customer for over 10 years, I'm extremely disappointed with how this business has chosen to treat me. Over the years, I personally referred more than three customers who went on to purchase packages worth hundreds of dollars. I also supported their business during COVID when they relocated to a medical center. When I recently considered purchasing another package, I was offered the exact same discount that is available to everyone else--and essentially the same discount I was offered 10 years ago. After a decade of loyalty and bringing new customers to the business, I expected at least some acknowledgment or appreciation for that support. Unfortunately, loyalty clearly doesn't seem to mean much here. To make matters worse, I no longer feel that the services justify continuing to spend my money there. Many of their facial services are very basic, and a large portion of what they offer is also regularly available through Groupon. It's disappointing because I genuinely supported this business and recommended it to others for years. But customer loyalty should go both ways. My aunt booked me an appointment here as part of my wedding gift. I arrived 15 mins before my appointment but ended up waiting past 15 mins after my appointment - and was a bit disappointed. However, my facial experience was great! I got the hydra facial + neck and they really clean and massage your face and neck. I was so relaxed, and my disappointment from earlier had disappeared. They had blankets for the colder weather which was nice. The massage alone was wonderful but they really work the products into your skin for that hydration, which I appreciated. The last thing was that they made a gel mask from these flower pedals which I thought was super cool, and they make sure to cover your eyes as well to ensure product doesn't get into your eyes and that you stay relaxed. I am seriously considering buying a facial package myself, because I loved it so much! Groupon prp microneedle 2/2 parking plentiful and free, downstairs garage for more. They close at 7 offering a little flexible for office workers. The staff again was very easy going and nice, quick little consultation and picture. No pushing, but do have special deals. The front desk staff is fluent bilingually. They offer consultations if you'd like to know what's good for you, just call to set appointment and inquire about deals! All I needed to do this time was to check in this time and check out regarding any follow ups! They have a nicer room for injectables with dimmable lights and motorized chair. The prp is still in the same towel flat chair room. Feels more peaceful this time. Be warned it is quite a bit of waiting, my appointment went faster this time (1.5hr, which I don't care too much as long as the RN is doing a careful job). The initial RN (?) was efficient in numbing cream and extracting blood, it felt like she did everything in one smooth motion and you could definitely feel her years of experience. I had Lauren for my microneedling who is more of an English speaker. She was very friendly and checked in, if you prefer someone who is talkative and gives you girls talk big sister vibes. She was thorough in cleaning the skin. Compared to my last RN she does swifter motions and more areas vs focusing on one area and asks you about your preferences. I think if you come with a lot of questions, she would be able to answer as she seems confident. Checked in during it to assess pain level. The numbing cream worked well this time. Afterwards my skin felt tighter than the first time. I think both were good and had their own styles. This time there was no face mask/lotion, just prp, but I did leave at night and I feel its better to have less fragrance. Lauren did give some quick aftercare instructions of avoiding heat, washing etc. Overall, I like the vibe of this spa. It is get down to business, but the staff are well trained. The front desk (sorry I never got her name ) but the main one is very chill and efficient on booking, she's never been pushy and gets along with everyone. All the workers I've met felt like nicer patient ones vs catty. Sometimes I feel like a daughter lol. Very chinese friendly and they offer deals if you talk to them in person. Even though not common for these kind of businesses, I still think having printed aftercare/considerations handouts/cards would help for newbies. Yesterday I had the Venus legacy treatment on three body area areas, my arms, inner thighs and stomach. Cara was my therapist and she did a thorough and excellent treatment. I've had at least 30 of these treatments and I absolutely notice the difference in the appearance of my skin. Have been coming here for a few years for facials and always love them. Was introduced by a friend and I have introduced 2 friends. We came and we were upsold while getting our hydro facial. The tech made it seem like I had very bad skin and a lot of oils and black heads and for $60 more I can get the diamond glow facial upgrade. I didn't think she was bringing the facial upgrade in and charging me. The language barrier made it confusing. I said I will think about it. But apparently what I thought was my usual facial turned into a $60 upsell because they said it's $298 normally. The friend I brought in was told the same thing and said it was not relaxing at all to be in the middle of the facial and told you have bad skin that has a lot of bacteria and needs to have the diamond glow exfoliating for $60. My friend was able to decline asking if this was what was included with the service. Said it felt different from the normal facial in the sense they spent about 15 mins massaging the face and neck, then the pore extraction was extra painful and rushed for both of us and even the end mask felt different. Not sure what is going on but after we left, my face and my friend's face is still red from all the marks they left from pore extraction. The person at the front said it's normally $398 and the upgrade is $60 because of the special. I don't feel it was any better and didn't appreciate being upsold while relaxing. If anything, I felt my skin might break out in the next few days from it. My friend's skin from the normal facial we both have been getting is already breaking out;said the prior techs extracting gently but this time it was like the person just scraped away. read more

Got micro-needling done with Vivienne and she was very informative of what she was doing and was personable during my appointment. This was my first treatment of 5 so I will be updating with before and after pictures once I finish all of them. I was given some face masks to use after and that was nice! I got a package with the spa. Their Instagram always features the deals that they have and they are good, which is why it is so busy! The only reason why I am taking off a star is because I got to the location at 5 (my appointment time) and didn't get taken back until almost 25 minutes after... I know the staff were busy but I had to fill out my information on an I-Pad which I'm not sure why I didn't fill that out during my consultation, then wait longer after .... This is the worst Botox results I've ever seen. Eyebrows dropped, one corner hiked up, giving me an angry look. To make things worse, they asked me for consent to use more than 100UNITS at once while I was high on Pronox. They said I agreed to do neck injections of 40units but I don't remember that. I was surprised when they asked me to pay extra $256 after the procedure was done but went ahead and gave my CC. They should not do that with any patients who has been on Pronox for over one hour with other procedures. The maximum I've ever gotten for my entire face had been 40units. After revisiting, the best advise the nurse could offer was to put hot compression on my face to make it go away faster. The staff acknowledged the bad result, but didn't understand my point about making me pay $850 on a botox job while I was high on Pronox. I am hoping the upper management will be more fair and offer a refund. *UPDATE: The office manager Yuki called me a few times and when I finally picked up she was arguing about my Yelp review. She still hasn't issued the refund after texting me that the owner approved the refund for the botox. read more

I've been coming here for about four years now. I originally started with a microdermabrasion I purchased through a Groupon offer, and ended up buying a 10-session package, and continued coming here since then. Yesterday, I had Thermage done for the first time. When the nurse opened the Thermage Face Tip 4.0, she had trouble removing the plastic seal and mentioned she would get scissors. As I watched her closely, she changed her mind and said she'd try to open it without them. I eventually looked away, and she examined my face briefly--possibly checking to see if it was okay to step away. When she returned, the package was already opened. That left me a bit unsure about whether the tip was brand-new or not, although she did show it to me and explained its features. I received 20units of botox and for the first time in over 20 years of getting the injections, I experienced a disturbing side effect. 2 days after the injections, I developed Pulsatile Tinnitus (I could hear my heartbeat in my ear). So alarmed and unsettled by the symptom, I almost cancelled a job contract. Then I went to Urgent care. The MD advised me that I may not have received "Botox" but rather another product. I called multiple times starting from 2pm (once every hour) and no one picked up, then that number texted me to text them if I was going to make an appointment, so that's what I did.
