A text notification system for when orders are ready would be a helpful addition, especially for those seated away from the counter. The staff member gave an estimated time, and my food was actually ready sooner, which I wasn't aware of. While not a major issue, this is an area that could be improved. The service was friendly and helpful, and I would definitely return to try more of their dishes. While the food overall was good, a few things fell short, like the rice. Overall, it's a tough call because the food deserves more than 4 stars. Caribbean Gourmet is easily the best Caribbean spot in the SGV and my second favorite in LA County.
