Red pepper goat wrap style
Carlo G.

Great casual eats Caribbean spot in East Hollywood! I got the red pepper goat wrap style and it was pretty good. The roti wrap was filled with succulent and flavorful goat which seeped into the potato inside. I especially liked the turmeric slaw which provided a crisp and refreshing bite. The roti itself was warm and flaky. As someone who was surrounded by a lot of Caribbean restaurants in Florida, I do wish there was more heat and spiciness to this dish. It seemed toned down. Also, the whole wrap was a bit oily, so it can be heavy. Still pretty good though. However, I do feel like this is overpriced at around $20 for a smaller wrap. They also have vegan/vegetarian options! The interior is nice and friendly. It's not too big, but pretty comfy. I saw there were outlets inside, but not sure if there's WiFi. The service was also pretty good. There's also a clean bathroom. For parking, I parked at the Island Pacific grocery store lot nearby for free, but it is a bit of a walk over. Overall, I had a pretty good experience here. I would come back to try the other menu items.

I'm not at all knowledgeable about Caribbean food, but I was finally in the area and got to try Bridgetown Roti! I tried the red pepper goat roti with the mango masala sauce and the coconut limeade. That coconut limeade is super special and refreshing!! Totally worth it, made me feel like I was at the beach. I liked the tenderness of the goat, but I was expecting more spice and flavor to be honest. I was also surprised at how soft and oily the roti was, maybe I was incorrect in expecting it to be closer to a flaky tortilla. That combined with the richness of the meat, made this dish super heavy honestly. Next time I stop by, I'll probably try the patties or the jerk chicken. Overall, I enjoyed this place, you don't see many new concepts for fast casual mom and pop restaurants, and BR definitely brings something more unique to LA.

Had the pleasure of trying Bridgetown Roti for the first time last night. We ordered: - Mom's Curry Chicken Roti - Cocobread Fish Cutter * - Sweet Spiced Plantains - Soursop Punch - Coco Limeade * The Fish Cutter was the star of this show. Since this fish is fried I was expecting a heavier bite, but was pleasantly surprised to find myself eating an incredibly light and fresh sandwich. Perfectly balanced from the sweet + tangy hibiscus jam to that gorgeous herby green sauce. Mom's Curry Chicken Roti is now on my list of go-to comfort meals; saucy and delicious. Both the beverages were very tasty but the Coco Limeade is something I wish I could drink everyday. Can't wait to come back and try the rest of this menu!

Chicken roti: so much sauce inside!!! Look at this half section!! A lot going on but all the flavors and textures blend together really well. Jerk chicken hand pie: I couldn't really taste the "jerk" part. Dough was flaky. Tasted better when I added the sauces. There was no wait or line when we got there at 4ish, but a line started to form when we were about to leave.

I ordered delivery because you just hear nothing but raves about this place. Also, I am a true mac and cheese afficianodo and BR consistently makes lists of best mac and chesese in LA. Recoginizing that delivered food won't be as good as dining in the restaurant, this was still a big WOW! The "Macaroni & Cheese Pie" is phenomonal. It's the kind of mac I prefer... cake style, not runny. It's really very good. You MUST order this and you should just go ahead and order the large size. We ordered a side of "Roti Skin" and damn... we could eat this every day. It's flaky It's buttery. It's delicious. Get some. Get double. The crab and shrimp patty wasn't my favorite but I'm sure that is becasue we were so intently focused on the mac and the roti skin that we didn't get to it until a few hours later. Next time, we'll start with that, because it was still pretty good after sitting for a while. I've been disappointed with other "raved about" restaurants I discover through reel scrolling. This did NOT disappoint. Get there. And if you can't get there, you can order so do that.

Fast and casual option if you're looking for a new place to try! Parking is kinda horrendous but it is what it is. Order at the counter and the rest is mostly self service. The Mac and cheese pie was delicious. Great flavor and a lovely cheese crust. The goat roti was moist, tender, and had a hint of spice. Get all the sauces to try. Tried 2 of the patties and I didn't love because there was a lot of crust that was dry and bland.

The food here was amazing! So flavorful and good. I got the goat roti with the pepper sauce. The goat was very tender and the flavors blended together so well. Especially with the pepper sauce. I also got the oxtail patty, which was so flavorful as well. I wish I had gotten more! I also got the sweet spiced plantains and they were very delicious not too hard either. I ordered from Uber eats so I can't comment on the service or the ambience but the food itself was amazing and I definitely will be going back!

Chicken curry plate with rice

Bridgetown Roti brings the flavor! The chicken curry plate was good. One of those warm comforting dishes that make you want to keep going back for another spoonful. Loved the crispy potatoes and roti too. The jerk chicken is a must- this was the juiciest and most tender chicken I've ever had at a restaurant. The honey jerk sauce and the green sauce that came with it were so good and complemented the chicken meal well. I wish they gave the green sauce with the curry too because I was scraping every last drop out of that container with my roti! The only negative is portion size is a little small for the price. The half chicken meal is $30 and feeds 2, but the chicken was on the smaller side. It would've been great if it came with rice. Excited to come back to try other menu items!

My partner and I have become instant fans of Bridgetown Roti, whose existence we were alerted to by an online video about the best fried seafood you can find in LA. We shared the chicken curry roti, cocobread cutter, and a cup of soursop punch. The cocobread cutter was personally my favorite - it's a nuanced but memorable medley of thinly fried but crisp seabass, deep green gremolata, and just enough hibiscus jam in between two slices of soft cocobread. The curry chicken roti was also fantastic - I'm a sucker for anything with garlic and a bit of tumeric and that definitely tastes better with tender chicken wrapped by a delicious roti. The soursop punch was also fruity but not too sweet - a just right combination for us. Service here was really friendly and although the restaurant itself isn't too large, it's designed colorfully to feel warm and make you feel like you can relax when eating. We're newcomers to Caribbean food so we weren't sure what to expect, but have become new converts and will definitely be back!

Yum! I first experienced Bridgetown roti at Eatsconn where they did a collab with another restaurant and I had a delicious ox tail curry pizza and their amazing coco limeade. Both items were my favorite things I had that day. The ox tail was tender and flavorful and the coco limeade was unique and very refreshing. I came in person for the first time at their main location and was very excited. Their store is small with a couple tables to sit at and you order at the counter. The staff was incredibly kind and friendly and I loved the decor. I ordered the red pepper goat roti and it was incredible. Every bite was packed with flavors that complimented each other so well. The goat was tender with potatoes and their turmeric slaw was the perfect addition. The one thing I will say is that for almost $20 the portions are quite small. You just get the wrap itself for $20 and no sides.

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time. We were in the area and stopped for a late lunch. Metered parking available on the street. Tried the goat wrap, jerk chicken wings, Mac and cheese and plantains. You order at the counter and seat yourself. The guy who took my order was so nice and friendly. He checked on everyone while we were eating. Food was worth the drive ....chicken wings had just enough heat and was very tasty. Hubby loved his wrap and plantains. Mac n cheese had lots of cheese but I prefer the more traditional style instead of a pie type. Didn't have enough room for a Pattie but they looked delicious.

This amazing Caribbean spot across from LACC caught my eyes with its vibrant decor lined with more amazing art on the inside. Spoke with the owner, Malique, who's super passionate about his food and bringing authentic Caribbean food to LA! Tried their homemade patties and eat it with their sauces! Definitely coming back to check out the other items on the menu!

Good for a quick stop if you're near by. Was hoping for a larger menu, but is more of a fast dine in place. Food was good and service friendly and welcoming. Bright cheerful space with the yellow chairs.

The food is so delicious and for a reasonable price. Specifically, the skewers after you get a drink. I always eat the pork belly skewers and the beef short rib. The best part about it is that they leave the stick out of it, so it just comes as a plate of meat. My favorite is the Korean Tteokbokki with Ramen noodles. It is so well seasoned, and it is a guilty pleasure of mine. It also has many pieces of kimchi. The corn cheese is yummy and great as a side of anything that you get there. I wasn't planning on getting a beer that night, but I did. Inside the restaurant, it's low comfy lighting. I did not take pictures of our food because of the lighting. With so many options in KTown, I would not consider going back for date night, but would when going in a large group of friends. Dan Sung Sa was vibing with tons of positive energy and drinks.

The plaza has mandatory valet parking which was $5 but they parked our car right next to the dumpster and we had to back up to get in which wasn't great. Not at all fault of the restaurant at all but valet is just something to be aware of for this plaza. The interior was a little small and I liked the ambience. The service was okay and we came for a late lunch around 2 pm so there was no wait. Owner or manager did talk to someone they knew for a part of our service and it was a deadish hour for customers so it was a little hard to flag someone down to pay. We ordered a variety of dishes: tonkatsu, blood sausage stew, mixed thin cooked noodle, and spicy sweet sour chicken. It's a little bit on the pricier side but I expected it from a mom n pop shop in ktown. There was a variety of banchan that I liked and the pickled radish was especially yummy. The tonkatsu and blood sausage stew came out first. My brother thought the tonkatsu was alright but a little dry. The blood sausage stew was the star of the meal. It's very hearty and a little heavy which I loved. It has a lot of components in it (pork blood sausage, leeks, black pepper, pork intestine, Napa cabbage, and lettuce) and it paired nicely with the complimentary white rice. I'd come back for this stew itself and give it a 5/5. The thin cold noodles came out next and it looked delicious but it was very saucy. I think it's to be expected with this noodle but I would've preferred less sauce so it would be more refreshing and less heavy. I thought the taste was decent and it went well with the cucumbers. The chicken came out last and it was disappointing. The image on the menu obviously looked better but for $23.95, the taste and the portion were not up to par. I kind of expected it to taste better than regular sweet and sour chicken and I think it was a little ridiculous to charge nearly $24 for that small platter. The sauce was tasty but the chicken was a little chewy and stringy so it just tasted average overall. There was a lot of leftover that we took home and the total meal for 3 costed $80. The whole meal was not bad overall but I wouldn't order the same items I got and would just try the stews.
