By the time we left around 1:30 there were so many people and the line outside was so long too. Drinks are more affordable than noflex. However I liked the house music and vibe at noflex more. Den had more remixes of popular songs which were fire but to each their own on music preference. Bathroom was clean when I used it before it got busy and the attendant was nice. $20 cover for everyone which I found steep. Would rather go back to noflex next time. read more

Loved this spot for some karaoke with friends. It was pretty empty for a Saturday night but made for a good time for us as we could easily add time onto our reservation. I came here for a night out pre-pandemic with some friends, and had a great time. The spot had a great vibe - everyone was chill and friendly, and just there to have a good time. There were enough people there for it to be fun, but not so many that the place felt crowded. They had delicious cocktails, and I was also impressed that they had a decent wine selection. I was pleasantly surprised that their chardonnay was actually of the same quality that you'd get at a nice restaurant. Den Social is like an adult frat party. The line is very, very long. It took us 2-3 hours to get in. Once you're inside, Den Social is a lot smaller than other clubs like Mission. However, the vibe is different. You see slews of East Asians sloppily hitting on each other, throwbacks for the 25-30 age range quickly cycling through, and a swell time. Den Social is close to Koreatown, and thus is really popular amongst an Asian population. Most of the crowd inside are Asian, and it's common to hear remixes of Blackpink throughout the night! For some reason, they keep the inside pretty empty until around midnight They make you wait in line, but when you get in, it's almost empty until around 11:30pm. The key is to get in line at around 10pm; any later and the wait is around 1-2 hours. Around and after midnight, the club becomes a lot more full and pretty chaotic, with a lot of pushing and shoving going around. There's a $20 cash-only cover; there's an ATM inside the club, but I've only been able to use it because I had friends that had their cover ready on-hand and were able to vouch for me. Coat/Bag check is now $5 per item, also cash-only! We also usually get tequila shots for around $10 each. read more

How is it possible that my friends (all girls btw) had to wait over an hour in 30 degree weather and the line did not move at all??? For the lounge. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I came from across the country not knowing any already put in place policies about Den Social. But my friends and I came here on a Friday night at around 11PM and ordered table service. You would think that after ordering table service there would be some sort of "service" that came with it. Wrong. We had a few more friends that came along a little late around 11:30 PM and we asked the owner politely and respectfully if our friends could come to our table and we would pay whatever. The owner denied us and went so far out of his way to say "you ordered a table very last minute, and you're trying to add more people. This isn't how it works here." While I respect that, I think the owner came off as rude and condescending. We offered to pay, it's not like we were trying to cause any trouble or ask for a free pass. I even tried to explain I was from out of town and we wanted to spend our night here at Den social when to be honest, we could have gone to any other bar. I'm extremely disappointed with the behavior of the owner and staff here. They're rude and mean. The music isn't even good. There isn't even a dance floor. The vibe was terrible. My friends and I ended up leaving and going to a free bar in downtown and had way more fun, way better vibes, a dance floor, and staff that were friendly and went with the flow. Just found this lovely coffee shop in midtown. Inside decoration is classic and elegant. There are few seats in the store, I got a vanilla latte. Very smooth with vanilla flavor. Barista was very friendly, and very comfy spot take short break. Definitely coming back and try other drinks! read more

It was a rainy day and I got in line at 10. Somehow we barely moved and got in after 11. It didn't seem to make sense. I think they were building hype and making the line long. They check your id and bag. Then you pay cover in cash only lol. There's a cash coat check. The music sucked until maybe 12:30 or 1, and the place was packed. i really don't want to make my first one star review, but this was truly the worst experience at a club that i've ever had. we waited so long in line, and it barely moved for two hours. since it was taking so long, we paid for the ladies presale, which lets us get in faster. keep in mind this cost us $35 each, so we expected to have a good time. we got in and they checked our bags and let us in. my friend had a bottle of ICE non alcoholic drink in her bag, so we assumed it was alright to drink it inside as it was clear they saw it. the first thing we noticed was that it was empty. this was at 1am, and there was still a huge line outside, which was confusing. seems like the club was trying to hype themselves up by keeping a long line outside/not letting people in. we spent a total of 5 minutes there bc in the bathroom line we drank the ICE drink that was cleared by the bouncer. immediately, a security guard flashed her light at us and shouted at us to get out. it was an incredibly traumatic experience to not be given a warning at all and practically mobbed out by security. specifically, there were multiple flashlights shining at our faces while she shouted "GET OUT" at us repeatedly. i def won't be back, and it's rly sad bc we were rly looking forward to the experience. i know people who've had similar experiences, and it seems like it's a recurring thing. hope they do better... read more

Den Social is easily the worst club in NYC. I've been to many of the clubs in Ktown (Maru, Mission, Ichi), as well as other clubs in Manhattan like Marquee, etc. I used to like coming to Den because the music was always on point, but over the last year, we've tried coming to Den on three separate occasions. The first two times, we came in a group around 11pm. The line was already long, but we thought that we'd get in after an hour. Once it hit 12:30am, we left because we were so disappointed that we wasted 90 minutes of our lives on this club without even getting in. The last straw was last weekend, when my friends and I came EARLY. We arrived exactly at 10pm since we knew the line would get super long. After waiting an hour and barely moving, I asked the bouncer why the line was moving so slow. He was super rude and said that they control the pace of the line and that they can't do anything about it. We waited another hour and couldn't take it anymore. This whole time, I saw maybe four people go into the club. I don't understand why the line was moving so slow? I would understand if it was already 1am and the club was at capacity so they can't let more people in. But we waited from 10pm to midnight and the line barely moved. The bouncers are definitely artificially hyping this place up with a long line to make it seem so exclusive and hard to get into. Hard pass for me and many of my friends - there are plenty of other much more fun clubs to go in the city. read more

This is probably the worst club I've been to in NYC. Do not go here. We got a table and the security was terrible - specifically it was the worst out of any club I've been to. They would let random people come to our table even after we complained. If it ended there I wouldn't even bother leaving a review but it gets worse! Some random girls poured alcohol on a bartender and security accused two of our friends of doing it. That was literally not possible since they just got there and weren't even holding drinks. It's not like the truth mattered to them though since they saw "an asian girl wearing a leather jacket pour drinks". There were literally over 10 random asian girls we didn't know wearing leather jackets that were around our table even after we asked security to get them to leave since they kept on trying to drink the alcohol we bought (the security didn't care or do anything). They basically told us we were too drunk and lying and that their bartender could not possible have identified the wrong asian girl out of the entire club full of asian girls. Absolutely terrible and I have never felt so disrespected in my life. Go to Maru or Mission. This club is like that weird relative who thinks they are a god among men but don't know how to treat people with a basic level of respect. I would give them 0 stars if that was possible. An amazing find that I came across in ktown while looking to grab some drinks with a party of 3 altogether. We got seated around 6:30PM and stayed til close to 10PM. We had an outdoor table near a small opening view of the bar inside. The service was fantastic -- they did not rush us and were very courteous. For summer specials, they have beers for only $5, cocktails priced around $12. All the drinks we had were great, especially the mojito, moscow mule, and caipiroska. I liked the fact that the beers came in their original bottles. There are a bunch of finger foods and for most of the outdoor dining these days, you need to order food along with the drinks. I was so surprised by the reasonable pricing on their foods. Their edamame is only $1 and fries were $3. We got a bunch of them to share and it paired so well with the drinks we continuously got. Bathrooms were pretty clean and when there was a long line, they opened up more bathrooms in the back area, which I greatly appreciated. There was also a DJ by the end of the night playing some easygoing music to jam to. I highly recommend this spot for some chill vibes with quality drinks. I went to Den Social to hangout with a couple of friends for a Halloween party and never would I have ever imagined that I would become a victim of RACISM as an ASIAN at an ASIAN CLUB. My friends and I booked three tables worth around 4K and for spending that much money, I would have expected some RESPECT from the employees at Den. My friends and I left Den at the end of the night and were standing outside when we realized a member of our party was missing. I tried to go back in to find her because we were worried as she was quite drunk and we didn't want to leave her alone. As I try to enter, the bouncer stopped me and claimed that I "had been banned from entering the premises three times due to my intoxication." First, I was drunk, yes, but I was able to take care of myself, fully converse, and stand up as well as walk properly. Second, I had never been "banned from entering" as this was the first time during the night that I had even left the premises. The only logical conclusion I could come to was that the bouncer confused me with some other Asian girl who he had banned earlier. I tried to explain to him that we had a table inside and that I was never banned, but of course the bouncer always has to be correct and there is no way that the bouncer, also another minority, would EVER confuse one Asian girl with another. He could have made an honest mistake in confusing me with the other girl that was banned - he could have been implicitly racist. But the bouncer refused to listen and began to swear at me after I asked why he was being racist, because I of course, was getting fed up as well. Furthermore, I even explained to him that my friend was missing and that I was the only one who could identify her within our group, so I needed to go in. I wasn't trying to go in and drink more or party; I just wanted to make sure my friend was safe and take her home. This is no way to treat a customer who has done nothing wrong except try to find her friend. Den - please do better by properly training your bouncers. Some of them are inherently racist and cannot tell one Asian girl from another. Due to this horrible experience with said bouncer, I will no longer be a patron of this club, and will transfer my patronage to either Maru or Mission, who actually treat their customers with the respect they deserve. and P.S. **club review only** Overall, highly disappointed. I wouldn't recommend getting a table here. I reserved a table for my girlfriend's birthday, which costed ~$1,000 for a three bottle minimum for 15 people, however when our party showed up, the bouncers ushered us to the side and made us all wait until the entire line got in before letting our party inside. We would have gotten into the club faster waiting in line. Not sure why they took us out from the line only to make us wait, it was embarrassing. Additionally, I wanted to do some extra things for my girlfriend's birthday so when I asked what they could do the only thing they offered was to put her name on the projector. However, when we got to the club they said that was not possible. They also said that we weren't allowed to bring in a cake, but the table next to us had brought a cake. So glad I got to check this place out before everything was closing. Cool, hip atmosphere and great cocktails. It duels as a coffee shop during the day, which I missed, but can't wait to check it out. The bartenders make great recommendations catered to your taste. Just ask! There is an upstairs area that was closed off but is usually used for private events. Karaoke was booked for the entire night but we were able to get a spot at their sister karaoke bar, Duet 35. Very friendly staff and reasonable drink prices. The songs are up-to-date and the rooms are great for parties. Hosts check in every so often to see if you need anything and they're pretty good at checking in. I can't wait for these places to open up again! read more

My non-Asian darker skinned boyfriend told me he got profiled here by the bouncer, but I didn't think too much of it. I thought the bouncer was probably having a bad night and just power tripping. The second time I came along with him, and we were denied entry of the club. We asked why we couldn't get in since we waited almost an hour in line. At first the bouncer said we were too drunk to get in, we were very confused since all of us were sober enough to drive, nor did we make a scene in any way, we were just chatting while we were waiting in line. Then the bouncer said one of the girls in our group was as rude to him, but when we asked what she said, he wouldn't say. Then he said management told him we couldn't go in, but when we asked to talk to the management that denied us entry, the "manager" came out and thought we were complaining about the long wait, and told us we would get in as soon as walk in spots open up, but after the manager left, the bouncer turned around and told us word by word, "your night is over, you are not getting in today. You can stay here and hold up the line or leave." We were more confused than upset at first, but then my boyfriend reminded me they singled out him last time when he came with an all Asian group too. Non of us will be coming back for sure. The only regret I have is that I didn't record our interaction with the bouncer so we can put out for the world to see how disgusting they were. read more

came here after hours for their "lounge" or club w/e. we got there around 10:30 pm (super early for a night out) and weren't let in until about 11:20. even though they said they seat their reservations first, there were large gaps of time where there was no one in the reservation line and they still didn't let us in but right when someone lined up, they were able to go. they only care about letting women in (like is this a frat party...?) and the people they know. they promote their apollo app mainly for women so they can see them beforehand and let them in quickly. it's so weird how they care so much about letting in "pretty" girls. a handful of girls were able to switch lines just by flirting with the app promoter. I understand the idea- I've been to other clubs trying to keep the ratio. but this one is the WORST. they're so rude and don't even bother trying to get you in if you have some guys in your group. I was so annoyed and would've left if it wasn't for my friend who really wanted to check it out for a possible bday party. their reservation also asks for your Instagram handle... it's optional but still says a lot about their establishment/ the people who run it. wouldnt recommend this place for a fun night out unless you're a group of all girls. the dance floor is also pretty small and really awkward unless you get drunk enough. they also charge you a cover and make you check in your coat (another $3)- price isn't bad but why is it necessary... read more

I actually know the owners and I just wanna say that I definitely will not be coming to this place anymore since I am banned from going here for absolutely no reason. I am so disappointed because I was annoyed because my name was on the reservation in October and the bouncer was extremely rude to me when I asked if the owner or the manager could come out neither of them came to even try to help me i'm being told now that I caused a scene but meanwhile I caused a scene because I was being discriminated against for nothing.
