Krush is a bar that's located in K-town. Look out for their sign because you might walk passed it. It's located on the 4th floor of that building. I came to Krush to watch the NBA finals and to have some soju with my friends. The music was lit and the employees were friendly so I'm surprised at all the negative reviews Krush has gotten lately. I liked how they also had beer pong tables to play to keep the night going. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Tonight at 11:30 pm, my friends and I visited Krush hoping to have a good night, but unfortunately, we left after an extremely unpleasant interaction with one of the female bartenders, who was wearing a nose ring and had tattoos. Our group of 11 had just arrived. I asked for a pitcher of water while my male friend was standing directly next to me ordering a round of drinks. The bartender responded in an accusatory tone, asking, "Did you order drinks yet?" I explained that we were planning to order soon. She then rolled her eyes and reluctantly filled the pitcher. Afterward, she asked me if I had a problem with the way she handled the water. I told her that I did, explaining that I found her unnecessarily rude and that her attitude was making our group reconsider ordering drinks. She then told me and my entire group to leave, saying that she had "gone out of her way to give us water." We left because we did not feel welcome or respected. I have never experienced this level of hostility from someone working in the food service industry, especially over such a simple request. Several years ago when I worked around the area, Krush was the go-to spot for chill vibes and awesome drinks after work. It's where I first discovered soju, thanks to this joint. I'd always bring friends along, and even last year, had a good time here. But something's off lately. I swung by a couple of weeks ago, hyping up this hidden gem to two of my friends, only to walk into a stench that was so bad. Trash bags piled up in the corner, and I'm pretty sure that's where the smell was coming from. It's concerning because they serve food here, but with that smell, I can't imagine anyone wanting to eat here. We toughed it out for one drink, then bolted. It wasn't even late, around 9 pm, and the place was pretty empty. So it's not like they were extremely busy to take the trash bags out. Things have really just gone downhill. Easily one of the worst bar experience I've ever encountered! Came in with my friends to an almost empty bar and 5-10 minutes into sitting down, a bouncer tells us that we each need to buy a drink or get lost. I had bought my drink but my friends were still checking out the vibe of the place before committing to the spot. Bouncer demands that we buy drinks even to my friends who don't drink and we decide to leave the place due to his rude behavior. The bouncer tries to intimidate us and insists we take the stairs when there is a elevator, and continues to hurl insults in the form of "I can beat you all up", definitely not helped by the fact that my friend was also escalating the situation by talking back. As we come out of the bar, we also notice a lot of other people leaving. I understand that you don't charge cover and may need to have minimum drink limit but it would have been good to state that at the entrance. This is one of the most diverse sports bars I've been to in Ktown. Krush is on the 4th floor of a building, and it can get extremely crowded by 11 pm. One side of the space reminds me of a college frat party with 4 tables for beer pong, while the other side has the bar and tables for sit-down groups. It can get very loud (not sure how anyone in the building sleeps) and it took a while for bartenders to take our orders. Drinks were reasonably priced, and we got a mix of fruity cocktails to Corona beers. The kimchi fries were delicious, perfect for late night drunk food. It also comes with mozzarella cheese, ketchup, and an aioli. Overall, I can see the appeal of going to Krush, but I'd prefer to go to other nearby Ktown watering holes. read more

This is a pretty cool bar to come with friends. There are beer pong tables and a large seating area on the other side of the room. However, you do have to buy a pitcher in order to play on the tables. Since my group was larger (6 people) we ordered a few pitchers and proceeded to play. Even though we ordered more pitchers, we weren't allowed to play on the other tables since more customers came in. This was weird since we paid for extra pitchers but we accepted it and decided to just take turns playing on our table. However, when we tried to re-rack after a game the bouncer stopped us and tried to make us leave. We couldn't even have an extra game despite paying more for our beer pong table? First off, if it's your first time here, it could be a bit of a challenge to find this bar. The bar is located on the 4th Floor in the building so you have to take a small elevator up. On the evening I went, because the elevator is so small, there was a small line that built up waiting for it to go up and back down. Once the elevator reached the 4th Floor, it opened up to the bar. I was thrusted from this quiet elevator into another world with tons of TVs and lots of people standing, chatting, sitting, eating and drinking. The first thing I noticed as how many TVs there were here! There was a TV everywhere I turned, which was great since I'm an avid sports fan! Second, the crowd was surprisingly diverse. I assumed many of the customers would be Korean, since this bar was in the heart of Ktwon, but alas my assumption was wrong. We arrived at about 8pm on a Friday evening, just in time for the drink and food specials or really the continuation of happy hour. According to my friend, who led us here, the bar's happy hour lasts all night until 11pm. We took a seat and were attended to by a very busy waitress, who seemed to be the ONLY waitress on our side of the bar. She was flying around the entire bar and, not her fault, but took a while to get back to us at times. As for the menu, it was pretty typical of bars, but with a Korean twist. For every American type bar food item, there was something that was Korean-inspired, such as, Kimchi Fries, Soy Garlic Wings, Kalbi Sweet Wings, Bibim Burger ------ you get my drift. There were plenty of Korean-inspired items, which was a nice change. Don't get me wrong, there were plenty of American foods, but there were also various Korean foods mixed in. We ended up ordering the Soy Garlic Wings and Guacamole with nacho chips. The wings were really good and our table couldn't stop eating them despite the fact we had a meal before at another bar. The guacamole was good, however the nacho chips had a bit too much cheese on them. I'm one that rarely complains there are too many toppings, but the chips were soaked in so much cheese that they became soft. In fact, there was too much cheese and not enough other toppings and guacamole. My first impression was that this was an awesome bar to catch a game at. There were plenty of tables inside and a long bar in the middle where many were hanging out. There were so many TVs and angles to catch the game at that there wasn't a bad seat/table in the house. Also, at the time we arrived it wasn't extremely crowded, albeit still crowded though. We ended up only waiting about 10 minutes for a table on a Friday night. The tables have 6 metal cups on each side. Ping pong balls are provided here. I'd highly recommend filling the cups with water and drinking the beer out of separate cups cause everything is nasty. One of my favorite hang out spots in Ktown but not winning any awards for cleanliness. The setup of the bar itself is great - there's beer pong and darts on one side if you want to play games and plenty of table seating on the other if you want to eat/drink. They have a small menu of bar food including wings, fries, pretzel bites, etc. Happy hour goes till 8pm on weekdays with 2 for 1 well drinks and some beer specials. So this is a place I've Been to on more than one occasion ...I've never had food here so I can't give a fair review on that. In regards to Drinks the bartenders are pretty disengaged but I get it because it's not really That type of place but all I order is soju( my favorite is peach).. or beer for beer pong. Soju is a Korean alcoholic beverage usually made from rice or sweet potatoes. It's almost like wine but stronger and you take it as shots. One of the security guard is soo cool. I think his name is Sean. He's great. Very funny and engaged. I like the ambiance and the scenery is great for what it is.. Last night was my first time to Krush after hearing so many good things from close friends. I was excited to go because it is indeed a chill spot to have drinks with friends -- a nice escape from the typical places in Ktown I go to. Loved the atmosphere; the place was really cozy, wasnt tooooo loud, had open space for sitting, standing, or playing a fun game of pong or darts. Drinks were standard price for the area. Or so I thought? I believe I was overcharged for an extra drink, however I didn't notice at the time because I didn't look at how much my drinks were priced at prior to paying for it. Regardless, I didn't mind and still tipped well (over 20%) Also, my friend ordered two bottles of soju, and the prices he was charged didn't match the ones on the blackboard menu. Later into the night, I got a few glasses of water from the bar. We had drank a lot and I wasn't trying to get a hangover!!! It was also my friend's birthday and I wanted to make sure we stayed hydrated. I think I asked for maybe 4-5 waters throughout the couple hours I was there. I stopped getting water because the bartender yelled at me for not keeping my cup. Maybe it's my bad I didn't know to keep my cup ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I also couldn't hear well because we were next to the speaker.. so I did ask her to repeat herself which very evidently annoyed her as she nastily snapped back at me to keep my cup on me. TLDR I didn't appreciate the attitude, especially for something like water which is a necessity lmao. Overall: I had a good experience because I was with good company, a fun environment and music that I liked. One star because I can't give zero and I actually had a good time lol but that was probably more of my friends and I doing. However, I did not appreciate being bitched at for water and being overcharged for my drinks. Planning to come back, but my first experience wasn't pleasant. The food is just okay. The portions are on the smaller side and the food isn't comparable better than the surrounding restaurants. The KimChi fries are creative but the quality of the fries aren't great. The dduk bokki was good but small portions and again not the greatest quality. The wings had great flavor.
