Stack of Double Berry Banana Strawberry Pancakes Philly Cheesesteak Omelette
    Katie C.

Got seated right away & servers were attentive & kind! Pancakes were nice & fluffy, philly cheesteak omelette had great flavor, just wish the steak portion was bigger for the price & hoped for the hashbrowns to be crispier. Other than that this satisfied my classic american breakfast cravings. Plenty of seating and tables, also cool that they have a mini arcade room in the back!

Denny's food was good and the service was good! They were busy for 3 AM on Sunday! I just finished an event with a few friends nearby and there was a good amount of groups that were sitting by! In addition they do have an arcade in case wait is long or just need a little something for some entertainment! I got the ultimate omelet with avocado and toast was on the side! It also came with hash browns! The dish was super filling! Tip: There is a restroom and free parking on the side of N 4th street!

Moved to the area recently. Been to this Denny's twice so far. Both times service was really friendly and prompt. The food is your standard Denny's food. It's pretty good, but nothing special. But as good as expected. I like their unlimited hot chocolate! I had 3 of them the first visit! They also have a value slam for just $6.99. You can get toast, pancakes, French toast, or biscuits & gravy included. I like their French toast. Not a fan of the biscuits & gravy. First time I had them. Not horrible, but I'd stick to the French toast. They have turkey bacon, which is important for my wife because she doesnt eat pork. Eggs were cooked correctly, wife gets scrambled with cheese, I get over easy. Overall, it's a good place to get some breakfast... or lunch or dinner, but I haven't had much of their lunch or dinner offerings to comment on.

Our server was great but unfortunately found a hair in my food, this is the second time this happens and I tried to give Denny's the benefit of the doubt. This location specifically is not the most sanitary when it comes to utensils, cups and the food itself. Very mid. Save ur money and if you're looking for late night food, I'd get jack and the box over this lol.

Alhambra Dennys my favorite place to eat, service always good fast and attractive, food very delicious..beautiful place always great service and very clean ambiance,

    but first, coffee

Took my wife to the Denny's in Alhambra for Sunday brunch. On the way there, the struggle was not finding updated menu, so here are the updates pages on the menu as of July 2025. I had the sirloin steak and eggs, steak was cooked just right, juicy and flavorful. Only regret? I should've swapped the toast for pancakes. My wife got the Philly cheesesteak omelette and loved it. The portion was huge, she couldn't finish it, so we took the rest home along with her toast. We had to wait quite a bit for a table because they were busy, which us understandable for a Sunday brunch time, but the service and the server, Noy, was nice. It's not fancy, but it hit the spot for a casual brunch. We'll probably be back next time we're craving a hearty, no-frills breakfast.

Where's the black lady that use to be here because this became a shit show?! They brought me burnt pancakes twice. They burnt my eggs and the customer service is just awful and before you comment I'm a regular here. Do better!!

$5 side order of hash browns, this is what you get‍

inflation has it your local dennys. increased prices for decreased quantity and quality. paid $20 for 4 side orders of these finger sized hash browns. very disappointing

Despite its popularity, I find the food to be fairly average. Much of it tastes like it's made from standard commercial food-service ingredients rather than prepared fresh. On the positive side, the prices are reasonable, the dining room has a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff is generally attentive. Overall, it's a decent neighborhood breakfast restaurant - nothing particularly memorable, but nothing especially disappointing either. The Reyn Special - 3/5. A classic breakfast plate with eggs, bacon, hash browns, and banana bread. The eggs and bacon are fairly average, although the bacon tends to be overcooked and dry. The standout is the hash browns. They're cooked with a nicely browned, crispy crust while still remaining fairly moist inside. The real highlight, however, is the banana bread. It tastes homemade and is easily the best item on the plate. Crepes - 1/5. This dish comes as two separate plates: one with the ricotta-filled crepes and another with eggs, sausage, bacon, and your choice of fries or tater tots. Unfortunately, the crepes are the weakest part of the meal. The ricotta-filled crepes don't taste freshly made and instead resemble a pre-made food-service product that's simply reheated before serving. Both the crepe and ricotta filling have a generic flavor with noticeable artificial notes. You can choose either banana or strawberry topping, but both sauces taste overly processed and artificial. The accompanying breakfast plate is noticeably better. I chose the tater tots, which were well prepared - crispy on the outside while remaining soft inside. The bacon, however, was again overcooked and dry, making it tough to chew. The sausage was acceptable but unremarkable. Scrambled Supreme - 2.5/5. Despite the name, this is essentially an omelet. The eggs have a mild, neutral flavor, and the fillings are okay but don't stand out. Coffee - 2/5. The coffee is classic diner coffee in every sense. It's somewhat watery, heavily roasted, and finishes with a flat, slightly bitter aftertaste. It's neither particularly good nor particularly bad - just standard coffee that does the job. Overall, The Reyn succeeds as a comfortable, affordable breakfast spot with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. While the food is average, and several dishes rely on ingredients that taste commercially prepared rather than freshly made.

The staff there was hustling and moving non stop but were very friendly and accomodating. Nick's has a great classic diner ambiance. We got seated inside which was all bar seating. They also had all these great vintage photos, art and merch hanging on their walls which really added some personality. They also have outside seating and tables that face spring street and the side of LA historic park. Now on to the food. We ordered the Eggs and Steak with a side of hashbrowns and toast, 1st Street Omelette with a side of hash browns and a biscuit, a grilled blueberry muffin and some coffee. Everything was pretty good, especially that grilled muffin. Also, make sure you ask for some house made blueberry jam for your toast or biscuit. You're welcome. They also have some great hot sauces to choose from. The only complaint we had was that the steak was over seasoned with salt that we had to scrape off the top. I'm so glad we did because we had a wonderful time. Right off the bat, however, I want to point out that this is a cash only establishment. Yes, they do have an ATM inside, but if you want to avoid what I'm assuming is a crazy service fee, bring plenty of cash with you because this place isn't the cheapest meal in town. It's not expensive, but it's not cheap. Also, there is very limited parking so just be ready to park on the street a bit away and walking in. The location itself is small. Narrow and deep. They squeeze in as many tables as they can around the walls while having a long countertop that runs the length of the kitchen. But, with all that said, and with them trying to cram in as many people as possible, it didn't feel too cramped. Only time we really felt the high density was when one of my kids needed to use the restroom and we had to find somewhere to stand and wait for it to become available. Outside of the front of the restaurant, there really is no space to just stand around. The food itself is wonderful. The burgers are no nonsense. They're not trying to be anything other than just a classic diner burger and fries. And that's exactly what I want from a place like this. Nothing is made for Instagram or to chase a trend. This place knows what they're good at because they've been doing it for decades and they don't stray from that. It's a total 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' mentality here and it's better off for it. My son got the chili and demolished it. I was worried he wouldn't like it, but it was anything but the case. I haven't seen him eat chili that fast in a long time. The dessert was good, but probably my least favorite part of the whole meal. I think I just wanted something different than what I ordered. I got the peach crumble and, while tasty, it just didn't scratch the pie itch I wanted. It was the perfect blend of soft and crispy. The crumble was good, but I think I wanted more of it. I'm being picky here, but I think it just slightly missed the mark. I really enjoyed my brunch at Pie N Burger. It was a wonderful outing. From the friendly staff to the classic food. It was just nice. And I absolutely look forward to coming back. Again and again.

However, the restaurant was still only half full the entire time we were there. Food came out very slow but the service staff was very apologetic and provided above and beyond service to make up for the slow service! It was greatly appreciated! Kitchen staff dropped the ball on multiple fronts tonight but I still have them 4 stars, here's why. I ordered a double smokey burger. This took the longest to arrive, probably 20-25 mins after ordering. It's suppose to come with BBQ ranch sauce but when I bit into the burger, I didn't taste any sweetness as expected of BBQ sauce. Took a second and confirmed, yup no sauce was included. I got in line and waited patiently for the cashier to ask for the sauce. She was very apologetic again and quickly brought a helping of the BBQ ranch sauce to our table. With the sauce this burger is perfection!!! The bacon was perfectly crispy! I mean like crispy chips without being hard. The patty was still piping hot even after we ate half way thru!! Buns were nicely toasted. The rocket, well according to the receipt we ordered the original although we had asked for the rocket. Guess we'll just have to go back another day to try that secret sauce! The original burger comes with mustard, relish, and pickles. Overall I loved it but I think there was too much mustard that made the burger eat very acidic, too acidic for me. Still a banger! Tots were delicious!! With grilled onions added really elevated the dish!!! The kitchen originally forgot the grilled onions (which was an extra $1.19) service staff again was very apologetic and brought the grilled onions on a separate plate after. We got a chocolate chip cookie on the house too make up for the inconveniences tonight. If I wasn't going to Handel's right after I would've opted for a complimentary shake instead. The cookie is more under baked, tasted like cookie dough but had an unpleasant taste. I took two nibbles and left the rest. I love the ambience! This place is nostalgic for us adults who grew up in the 90's!! No more chicken strips, instead they now offer chicken wings and chicken sandwiches! Fountain drinks self service with Pepsi products. There's also brewed tea available. I ran into a kitchen staff when I went to the restroom and found out that the other kitchen cook had actually burned her face somehow today. I don't know if it was earlier or while we were there but that could explain why the heavy delays with our food. They just weren't prepared to accommodate the higher foot traffic with Handel's grand opening. I'm rooting for them!! Excellent front of house service and excellent quality food!!
