Used to love coming here for the weekly deals when we were broke students in 2013. But now? You can get something better down the street for the same price. The parking lot is huge but mostly empty, which feels like wasted space. They close at 3pm and will happily tow anyone lingering after hours. God forbid you enjoy the community of Alhambra. It feels like they're spending more time patrolling their lot than actually serving customers. Gotta make money somehow read more

I don't usually leave reviews, but Rick's was a huge disappointment. The burger was bland and tasted like it had been sitting around, the fries were soggy and cold. Service was slow and unfriendly, and for the prices they charge, it just isn't worth it. Definitely not coming back. read more

DO NOT park here at all. I only got chili cheese fries when I went to AHS, which was years ago and didn't get them after that. So not really extraordinary. It hasn't ever gotten full inside+outside, so the ambiance feels deserted. I recommend the chili cheese fries at TOPS JR near Target and Walgreens. But if you prefer thicker fries then The Hat would be it. Main Street diner closed, perfectly sweet closed and no doubt this one will close too. I will forever miss Perfectly Sweet, literally the best bakery ever. Rick's on the other hand, eh. Years ago my sister worked there and didn't have a great employer experience. Again don't park there! not worth it as they will immediately call their friends aka the (asap) towing company to get your car towed. If cars made a mess or the people littered obsessively then it makes sense; but, to just tow a car for money is wrong. Also, the towing place didn't have their story straight at first, as to who requested the tow until I went in person. The owner at Ricks, they said, 'a lady' called to tow the cars. At first they blamed it on some nightclub owner. So very sus, I'm sure they have an alliance with the towing company. So, I dropped off my car for an oil change at the Kia dealership and decided to eat at Denny's. Seeing Rick's Burgers down the street, I felt nostalgic and decided to eat there. Boy, was that the wrong move on my part! Where do I begin? Well, for starters, the place is run-down. Unless you're into early '70s décor, it's an eyesore, not to mention there's no air conditioning. So, if you dine here, drink plenty of fluids. I ordered the chorizo and egg plate that came with potatoes. If I can describe it in one word: horrible. The chorizo tasted old and chewy, and the potatoes were sliced thin and underwhelming. The only decent item was the beans; they were okay. This is definitely not the Rick's I used to go to back in the day. Don't make the mistake I made and avoid this place at all costs. I felt like I just threw away $16.49. read more

I've lived in Alhambra almost all my life and curiosity got the best of me, and boy was this a mistake. The reviews here speak for themselves. Avoid! Terrible bacon cheese burger, soggy fries, and the interior was hot and stuffy. I don't even know why I bothered trying this place. Not to mention, the service was spotty, the server was staring at me which made me uncomfortable. Please hold your restaurant to a higher standard, especially in such a great area of Alhambra. I'm surprised this place hasn't gone out of business considering it's in a prime location in downtown Alhambra. It's unfair other some small businesses that pop up here don't last long, and then this restaurant pulls it off with a very subpar dining experience. Just witnessed a shorter tan woman with dark hair all but chase what would have been a customer out the door by very aggressively calling them a hispanic curse word due to them asking if there was a restroom they could use before they ordered their meal. Us and the only other table sat just looked on in shock. We only came here because the Popping Yolk up the street (a five start spot) was slammed. First time here and urge you not to visit. Zero customer service, and slow, all while completely empty on Sunday brunch rush. The food was simply..... bad! Am by no means a coffee snob, and rarely drink it, but this coffee MUST be the powdered insta coffee because have had better coffee at a low budget hotel. Or anywhere else. And that's exactly why I'm giving it such a high rating. You don't have to be a Michelin restaurant to give people a good meal, and EXCELLENT customer service. Our cashier was so incredibly sweet and considerate of us and went above and beyond the call of duty to make us happy and welcomed. They host music nights on the patios. Ambience (4): It's got a cool retro vibe for a fast food place. Has this old 80's diner feel especially with all of these old pictures of people who have been to the place. Price (3): Pretty average price for a fast food burger. Service (1): For the quality of burger that I got and the meal being standard size. It's a wonder what took them so long to get me the burger.
