BYO beef burger burnt to a crisp

Three for breakfast/ lunch. We were seated immediately and drink orders taken immediately. My 17 yr old and I both had the strawberry banana smoothie. Delicious!! My husband had bottomless coffee, orange juice and water with lemon. My husband got the Black Label slam. The pancakes were light and fluffy and delicious! Along with pancakes, my 17 yr old ordered grapes. The grapes (side) were all very fresh and yummy. I ordered my sirloin steak medium and it arrived well, but it was still scrumptious! The mashed potatoes and corn sides were fresh and delicious! We were all very happy with our meals & the service today! Sarah B does an excellent job! This Denny's has redeemed itself! Will return. (Unfortunately, no photos this time.)

This grilled cheese melt was apparently minus the "melt" as the cheese is clearly not even close to melted.

Sooo, I didn't really expect to eat here again but when I ordered from The Meltdown on DoorDash I unwittingly supported this establishment again. The food was hit and miss. The bacon egg and ham melt was quite good. The brisket melt was ok at best. But what disappointed me was the regular grilled cheese melt. The whole concept is to have melted cheese on the sandwich, thus why it is called a "melt." But the cheese was anything but melted. I might as well throw this on the stove and melt it myself. But then that defeats the point of ordering out huh?! Or maybe people actually do make orders and say "Give me a grilled cheese melt but hold the melt - thanks!" Maybe...

This is my preferred Denny's in this area. The restaurant is attached to a gas station/convenience store. It is deceptively large and has plenty of seating for its patrons. My husband and I dined in at around 12pm and we were seated immediately. We only waited about 10 minutes for our food to be delivered to our table. Our waitress was not super friendly but she was efficient and checked in on us a few times. We both ordered the french toast slam. Overall, your standard Denny's experience. We'll be back.

What is this Denny's like what? I order a "Nashville Hot Chicken Melt" and this is what I got.Wrong bread little piece or chicken like what!

Was here for a 10 hr break and decided to eat at Denny's Had Sarah for my waitress and she was awesome!!! On top of refills, got order perfect to the T and dotted all i's. I will return here to specifically ask for her as my waitress The food was great but the service was impeccable and made all the difference in making my day. This Denny's needs to have this young lady train because if all waitresses were like here I would only eat at Denny's Thank u Sarah for making my day n dinner

    a receipt for a burger

We placed a door dash order from "The Burger Den". Paid 99¢ per burger for bacon that never came. There was 0 seasoning whatsoever on the burgers, 0 seasoning on the onion rings. They did season the fries...tasted EXACTLY like Arby's curly fries. I was going to call about the bacon, when lo and behold...The Burger Den is actually Denny's. There's a reason we don't door dash Denny's... I guess they now have to disguise themselves to get people to order. Dirty tricks. 2 star rating because Arby's curly fries are the best. That was the only saving grace here.

Santa fr sizzilin skillet! Its always been good at the other locations! Can't wait to try it here!!

This spot was pretty decent! The staff was very friendly. However I did notice no one was wearing gloves! But however everyone sis gave a mask on! So that's a plus! And the food was great!! The drinks were cold! And my waiter was very attentive! I would go back!

More kind and accommodating on the phone than just about any restaurant I've ever called. We came in like a half hour early, over the course of 20 minutes, cause we were traveling in multiple vehicles from ways away... I called ahead, but they said it was no problem at all. They were super helpful, I got drinks started while the rest of the party arrived. Ordered a bunch of appetizers... Mozzarella, sweet potato, waffle, fries, calamari... With like three different dipping sauces. Each of those was fantastic. Folks ordered burgers, chicken, cheesesteaks, traditional fair, like cottage pie, etc. Quantities were massive. Food was tasty. Many to go boxes were provided. The desserts were a surprise... I got my bread pudding to go. And then a few people got the lava cake and shared it. Great beer selection. Great cocktail selection. Great music on the speakers... At least I thought so, the Young'ns weren't as impressed with the sing-along Classics. Our server was beyond helpful, responsive, kind, accommodating,; probably one of the best I've ever had... Is that possible? Big party, I didn't check the details on the check... and the large party tip was included already. So I gave her too much cash for the tip, she stopped me on the way out and wanted to make sure I didn't screw up... Which I did. So she returned a couple bucks. But she earned every every bit for a tip yesterday.

I've been there a few times over the years, and each visit has been about the same: decent food, good drinks, and service that's friendly but sometimes a little slow compared to the crowd size. It's not exceptional, but it's steady, and there's value in that kind of reliability. The atmosphere is distinctly classic, with dark wood paneling, dim lighting, and an overall feel that's equal parts pub and old-school cigar bar. It's a little dated, but in a way that feels intentional--authentic to the town's character. You get the sense that a lot of local business deals and long lunches happen here, and that's part of the charm. The location is just off the main drag where most of the Carlisle festivals and events happen, which can affect how busy it gets. During downtown festivals, expect crowds, but otherwise, it's a good place to relax and catch up over a meal or a pint. Overall, Market Cross Pub isn't trying to reinvent itself--it's simply a solid, familiar spot with dependable food, friendly service, and an atmosphere that fits Carlisle perfectly.

Like other people mentioned, the place itself is very clean and airy which is inviting. Also, as others mentioned, they give you a mini plastic bottle of water with your meal. I'd love to know the thinking behind that. It's takes away from the class of the meal. In underdeveloped countries getting bottled water is a sign that it's drinkable. Not sure the purpose here, but it feels wasteful. We had Chicken Tikka Masala, Kadai Chicken and Malai Kofta along with garlic naan. We got medium heat and were happy. Kadai Chicken was new to us and we loved it. Spectacular. Delicate and intricate flavors. We always order Malai Kofta if it's on the menu. Never disappoints. Chicken Tikka Masala was very good. We were just more enamored with the Kadai. All the dishes worked very well together. The malai kofta wasn't even hot, but we loved it anyway. I really should have sent it back, but as I mentioned, we were in town for a happy event so we just rolled with it! It was expensive and not something we'd do every week, but if you're looking for tasty Indian, this is it.

You entered into a very barren space up front that felt completely unfinished, and then went to the rear of the restaurant in a completely separate room to be sat. In general, the food was ok...but nothing special. It's a diner. There are several of them within just a few miles. There is nothing about this place to set it apart from any of the others...except it is the closest to my house. A few drawbacks: -most of the breakfast meals came with homefries OR toast...not both. And if you wanted to get the potatoes and order a side of toast, it was grossly overpriced. -I received the wrong meal. Turns out the waitress ordered it wrong, wasn't the kitchen's fault. In her defense, she did give me a discount on our bill. -the entire restaurant just had an "unfinished" feel to it. I didn't feel like we were sitting in a dining room. It was just a bit weird to me. Would I go back? Probably...but there are a few diners I like a lot more within a very reasonable distance. It isn't going to be my top choice for sure.

The service was prompt, friendly, and kind. The suggestions about fruit for the waffle were generous and helpful. It's different to get my little one to eat anything when we go out to eat & adding additional fruit & whipped cream helped get him to try the waffle. He was not happy with the syrup. I'm not sure if maple syrup is an option. Maybe we'll ask about that next time. My eggs were perfectly cooked. The sausage links had a nice flavor & great "snap". The tater tots were crisp on the outside & soft inside. The booths have enough space between them & high enough sides to feel separation between diners and focused into your own party. The floors, seats, and tables were clean & comfortable. The artwork is large & unambiguous- photographs of food. And finally, the coffee is good!

We'd just looked them up on the internet, and there was no mention of a need for reservations. But our server greeted us with a smile and sat us at a table far enough away from another group, the noise level wasn't so bad. Our meals were delicious at a fair price. Everything was clean, even the bathrooms. There was a nice, unhurried atmosphere, and we appreciated the time to visit with our family over the table.

He's not really a good person. He lost 2 really amazing chefs and THEY WERE CERTIFIED, not the I run the kitchen so I'm a chef type of guys. One was named Nick and I'm not sure what he ended up doing down the road, I think he went back to Snappers honestly, and the other guy was Tony and he went to some Italian Restaurant where things seemed to be much classier. They also had this badass bartender named Tom who had an outgoing personality, so much so that he could light up a room. Things were a lot better when Gus was around. He was an elder Greek man that would come into the bar and order one shot and one beer and he'd sit there for a good bit of time just soaking in the ambience. He'd then come back to the kitchen and bring A REAL, LIVE SKINNED GOAT into the back of the building and chop it up. I've never seen something like that until him, and he was one of a kind when it came to culinary arts, not just having a knife in your hand. He was a master like no other. There is an ongoing pattern in these comments. We all see what we see. You'd be better off going up the street to Sals and get yourself a 10 or 11 dollar sub and it's like 1ft and a half long.

Margaret, our server, provided a great dining experience with the right amount of check-ins. Black N Bleu offers an excellent upscale menu with daily specials in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. The space has an energetic, bustling feel, and you can sense the servers moving in full hustle mode to keep everything flowing. We started with the calamari. The portion was generous, but it leaned more "standard" than standout--crispy and easy to share, but nothing that really left an impression. For my entrée, I ordered the Monster Burger with sweet potato fries. It definitely lives up to its name--big and hearty--but the execution felt off. The patties were oversized to the point that they overpowered everything else. The ratios just weren't there--not enough BBQ sauce or fried onions to balance it out. It ended up tasting more like bites of beef and bread rather than a layered, flavorful burger. My husband ordered the crab cakes, and this was the highlight of the meal. The texture was impressive--almost like a crab "cheesecake," dense, rich, and clearly made with minimal filler. You could tell it was quality. That said, for the price, the dish felt like it missed an opportunity. Pairing it with sweet potato fries and coleslaw kept it casual, when it could've been elevated with vegetables and something like mashed potatoes to better match the dish itself. And the sweet potato fries--this is where it really fell flat. They lacked that natural sweetness you expect and instead came across bland and a bit forgettable. No real depth, no contrast--just kind of there. For drinks, I had the blueberry blackberry mojito. It was fresh and enjoyable, but like other parts of the meal, it felt like it was missing something to fully bring it together. One nice touch was being able to see the cooks in action--it adds a level of energy and transparency that enhances the experience. Overall, the portions are big and the prices reflect that, but the food didn't quite deliver the "wow" factor to match. Black N Bleu has the presence and the potential--but for me, it just missed the mark on flavor and balance enough that I wouldn't rush back.
