Not sure why Denny's always seems to be crowded on Sunday mornings, so since I didn't want to deal with the crowd, I decided to call in my order and pick up some food. So this is the 2nd or 3rd time I've called in my order and can someone please tell me why is it that each time I order the same thing, they always give me a different price? I'm not sure and the person who answers the phone couldn't tell me either. Maybe because this time, they tried to tell me that since I ordered an veggie omelette it doesn't come with toast so we charged you for a side of toast. haha, i could only laugh. Not only that, I call in my order so that way I don't have to wait to have them cook it. So when I came in to pay, they tell me that my order got delayed because someone placed a large order in front of me. I would understand that if I came right in after I called, but I waited like 15-20 minutes before I left to pick it up. Not a very good experience for me at this Denny's. Service here rocks unlike the awful one closer to where I live off grand. Definitely one of the better dennys I've been to. They are fast, friendly, and professional. Just wanted to write a review to give them the props they deserve. As far as food, your typical dennys diner fare. Food was tasty, server was very good, management was not; Sam M. I had an issue with how our meal was rung up. I brought it to to the manager hoping to have it rectified ASAP, after all it was just a human error. Well, that seemed to be too much of a hassle. Instead he proceeded to hold up the process by going to the back and talking to the server. In the end his response was unyielding. He ended up not giving 2 f's about our concern. Needless to say we won't be coming back. Glad this is not our town. San Diego franchises definitely treat their customers with higher regards. Popped in on lunch break with my wife. Around noon. We stood in line with another couple waiting to be seated, no one was present in the front desk to seat us nor could we see anyone other than the chef in the back. 10 minutes later we got seated, 10 minutes later we had our order taken. (Hostess had zero personality, no smile and didn't seem she was present or wanted to be working there). About another 15 minutes later food arrived and no apologies about the long wait. My scrambled eggs came cold which was mind boggling since I just received it out of the kitchen. Don't know if the problem is unhappy employees, bad management or just a careless staff but during lunch hour when your only handling 12 tables with 2 servers, this doesn't seem to be an overwhelming feat since the place wasn't even 25% full. I'm slightly embarassed for yelping a Denny's, but what the heck. I'm at work and bored. I haven't eaten at any Denny's for ages. But the hubby was craving pancakes so we stopped by here before church on Sunday. Yes, it was pretty crowded as Bong E. mentioned, but surprisingly our experience was quite pleasant. Maybe it's because I was expecting a horrendous meal and awful food. I have no clue. The waitress was very friendly and nice and the service was excellent. We ordered and our food came out in about 7 minutes. I ordered some fajita skillet with bacon, hash browns, sausage, 2 eggs, grilled veggies (bell peppers, onions), and a biscuit. You can subsitutue the biscuit with pancakes or toast, which is quite interesting. It would be a HUGE meal if you opt to get the pancakes. All in all, I really feel this was a good experience. This particular Denny's was clean and had great service. Just don't pay any attention to the screaming kids and displining parents in the backgroun and you'll have a peaceful meal. read more

Service is excellent for being Denny's! Even on a holiday like today the wait was less than 10 minutes. My only critique is that the bathroom needs to be cleaned! Toilets need to be cleaned, lots of mold and mildew. Sinks need to be cleaned as well as bathroom needs to be stocked. read more

Great service and food. I've been here at different hours of the day and no matter what time it is and how many people I'm with, the staff is super friendly and attentive. I came here on Christmas Day with my family and our server was so nice to us... I only wish I remembered his name. I went here in March before Spring break with my friends and I wanted to try the veggie burger. I thought it would be good, for a fast food joint. What I got was not that. It seems to me that the patty was just something they left in the freezer made up of stuck together things, which I would only guess steak would have stuck together pieces since "fat" is just glued up scraps. I don't know why this place is so idolized upon my friend group since this place isn't fit for a huge group setting where we're expecting a good meal. My meal was very disappointing and I thought that every vegan/vegetarian meal would be like that. I live a stone's throw away. The place was clean, well lit and smelled nice. The same can be said about the food. Denny's is the closest thing to an all nite-diner in Chino Hills...besides the usual 24 hour drive thru. Sometime you just want to go get your egg skillet on at 3:00 am. I think that's why Denny's have survived, their food tastes the same wherever you go. It's doesn't get any better or worse. The service was just fine. We were not rushed, nor were we ignored. My daughter loves the kids plates, my girlfriend enjoys their salads and hot sandwhiches. I have always been a sucker for the Denny's swiss mushroom burger, for the price it is a great value. I was excited to eat there because I hadn't visited a Denny's in a long time, love the breakfast. Decided to wash my hands in the restrooms before I sat down at my table and to my shock, the women's bathroom walls and fixtures were so filthy I had to leave. The family and I have made it a routine to visit this location on Saturday's before my daughter's softball games. Its fast, edible and cheap. The last few times we have been here, we have noticed a steady decline in service, quality and time. The last time we ate here, will probably remain the last. It was a Saturday morning. It wasn't busy, there were only a handful of other tables with people in them. It took forever to get greeted once we were seated. Then when we finally ordered, they were out of almost everything we wanted. No kid smoothie, no fruit and no bacon. HOW DO YOU RUN OUT OF BACON?!?!?!?! By the time we finally calmed the kids down and decided on something they DID have, it took forever, once again, for the food to arrive only to be wrong. Tried to order a to-go order in person. The owner was rude and would not allow us to use a birthday promotion that was on the Denny's website. We ended up ordering on the app. When we went to pick up the food, we walked in and was not greeted. After a couple minutes, another woman walks in and is greeted immediately by the owner. She finished her call n proceeded with seating me. You can tell she has the gift of kindness n service. The waitess Stella came to my table with a big smile as well n kindly took my order. Checked on me often n was so kind n caring. These two ladies are the ones you want in your buisness. Exceptional customer service. So seemingly people notice the negative. If you want to get a sense of how much pride a place takes in the appearance/cleanliness of their restaurant look at how well maintained the outside front is. Even better check out back. The front of this place is filthy[in my opinion]. Check out all of the gum on the sidewalk. What I cant understand is why customers gravitate to this Denny's when there is a much better/cheaper option next door. A much better option is Archibald's next door Notice also that most other restaurants on Yelp post their Health Department score on their Yelp page. This Denny's does not include it. The manager chased my wife and kids in to the parking lot and falsely accused her of stealing. My family and I just finished having breakfast at this Denny's. The food and service was adequate. When I got in line to pay the bill, my family decide to head for the car. I saw the manager leave the register but I didn't think anything of it until my wife approached me after I paid my bill. The reason the manager left the register was to chase her and my kids and accuse them of not paying their bill. She was offended, rightly so, for being falsely accused of stealing. I confronted the manager, he was less than sincere with his apology. What's worse is that we go out of our way for this Denny's because of the service. That just ended. read more
