I got here very early in the morning Dora the waitress was super kind. I really enjoyed the quietness in the restaurant. With just little bit of kitchen clattering made it quite relaxing in there. The food was excellent and I got to use my Denny's app for the first time. Definitely had a good time it was like that classic Denny's energy from when I was a kid.

spicy sizzling chicken skillet was really good in filling. I also got two eggs with it over easy. There was a lot of people in there took a little bit of time to get served, but I was very happy with the casual experience.

What do you do with a Dennys gift certificate from Christmas? You use it! This Dennys doesn't have a 55+ menu. Something g to do with being corporate or franchised. Came around for dinner hour. I ordered the one piece chicken Fried steak, corn and mashed potatoes and came with bread. I'm not sure what kind of meat they used but it was okay. Were kind of skimpy with gravy as they didnt cover the steak. I also ordered a strawberry lemonade which was tasty but too sweet. Wife had a pot roast sandwich with fries. She said it was okay. Waitress was attentive and fast. They have a 2 for 1 special right now that really looked like a good deal. It's for a breakfast item. Not my usual place to eat but I'll be back when I get another gift certificate.

I had an amazing experience at Denny's! The service was outstanding from start to finish, and the food came out hot, fresh, and exactly how I ordered it. What really made the visit special was my server, Dora. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever making us feel rushed. Dora's positive attitude and professionalism truly made the meal enjoyable. This is the kind of service that keeps people coming back. Great job, Denny's--and a huge thank you to Dora for such excellent service!

Tonight's service was perfect. Janina was our server tonight, friendly & efficient. Food was fire as always. Dennys always has a chill laid back vibe. Recommend for anytime feasting!

Fast service, good food. Only downside is that they weren't very welcoming or patient.

I'm a huge fan of trying new pancakes and Family House delivered. The pancakes are fluffy, and the sizes are perfect. My pancakes came with my country scramble which was equally delicious. I just had to upgrade a bit from buttermilk to buckwheat. The meal was very filling, it kept me satisfied all the way to dinner almost. The Family House of Pancakes is very busy and has a lot of patrons. It's a community hub and rightfully so. Staff are attentive and polite, we were checked on regularly despite the sheer amount of visitors. My family took my Grandpa out to eat here and we were still able to hold a conversation, it wasn't overly loud. I felt super comfortable. FHOP has booths and tables across the restaurant. Walking is tight as everything seems close to eachother. A bar/counter is also available for smaller parties. We waited 15 mins to be seated, there's a speaker in front of the restaurant to alert you when you're called. The wait felt like a breeze.

One visit, they forgot my sausages entirely. Another time, they gave my full order away to someone else with the same name. And this last time, they couldn't even follow simple directions on the order. This isn't just frustrating, it's the kind of repeated carelessness that drives customers away for good. People aren't paying their money to play guessing games with their food or deal with constant mistakes. If this is the level of service they're going to keep providing, they're going to lose more than just one customer. I'm done with this place, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone expecting basic competence.

We ordered, but a few minutes later, our waiter came out looking like he had to deliver bad news. He apologized and said the chef refused to serve the current batch because it "wasn't up to his standards." Before we could even process being denied our soup, the chef himself walked out to our table. First of all? The man is dangerously handsome. Second of all? He was incredibly sweet. He politely offered us tomato soup instead, but then saw the heartbreak in my grandma's eyes. He told us, "Look, if you really want the matzo ball soup and can give me 15 minutes, I will go to the back and whip up a brand new, fresh batch just for your grandma." Naturally, we waited. Since he knew we were sharing, this absolute legend threw an extra matzo ball into the bowl so we could each have two. Talk about elite customer service! It really made us realize how much the people here care about the quality of their food. They won't serve you subpar dishes just to flip a table. My grandma was on cloud nine. She officially declared it the absolute best matzo ball soup she has ever had in her life (sorry, family recipe, you've been replaced by a handsome chef).

The place was packed and there were so many people in and out of the Lafayette hotel, as usual. This was a late night dinner so I believe we arrived around 8:30 PM. We were seated right away, which we were really happy about. Every time we come the host that sees us is very nice and customer service oriented. Our server was very nice. We ordered the deviled eggs for the table to share. We also ordered Patty Melts and shakes. I ordered onion rings for my side to my Patty Melt and everyone else got the side of fries. The deviled eggs is a super Duper tiny appetizer. The highlight is that it comes with salmon roll on top which are delicious. Our food came out and I will say that it just tasted OK this time. The patties in the patty melt were undercooked (they looked gray colored not brown) and didn't have as much flavor as they normally do. My onion rings were decent, but they just weren't fried correctly because a lot of them were stuck together. The shakes were the highlight of the meal as they tasted delicious and we enjoyed them. Customer service is always great. It's just that, on this night, the food wasn't as tasty as it was the first time. We hope that the food gets back to the great taste that it used to have soon.

Located in Imperial Beach, Toasted is the new restaurant that took over the old Sea 180 in the main resort in IB. Don't get me wrong, it was yummy, but it was mediocre as well. One thing I do like is that their patio is dog friendly. Parking is relatively decent, depending on what time of day you go. We went for brunch, on a weekday, so it wasn't bad at all. We got a spot in the park right next to the hotel, which had a ramp connecting up to the patio of the restaurant. They do offer valet or you can find street parking in the neighborhoods nearby. I can say that later in the day, parking is significantly harder. The restaurant itself was clean. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. Patio had plenty of seats with a great view. Service was decent. Our waitress was nice but we had to ask numerous times for my Uncle's Orange Juice. And there were periods of time where we felt like she had just disappeared. Food was okay. I had the chilaquiles and to me, I thought it was a little too spicy. I've had chilaquiles before and they haven't been that spicy. Portion size though was pretty good. My boyfriend had the crispy chicken and pancakes and we liked that one better. It had a good kick to it and the crispness was pretty good even with syrup on it. I see this place having a lot of potential. I've heard the other locations had pretty good reviews so I don't see why this place can't. I definitely do think they have room to grow. I got the white peach bellini, I felt it could've used a bit more of the white peach. While you can see the color difference, I definitely tasted more Prosecco, which some people prefer. Lavender lady: I definitely recommend mixing it up when you drink it, as most of good flavor is at the bottom. We were hoping to try the kanafee, but they had just put in to the oven to cook around 12 and said it wouldn't be ready until an hour later. Somethings to work on here, but the food was good and we definitely will be back to Toasted, but probably will try the La Mesa location next unless we are looking for the ocean view! It's located at Liberty Station, which is, what seems to be a historical park. So there's a giant shopping area, several restaurants, people playing croquet, and much more. We were able to find parking and it's free. Even during the holiday season and it being a tad crowded, we had no issue. The cafe is extremely well themed and there is so much to look at in here! Service was super welcoming and our waitress had a such a great extroverted, entertaining personality. I didn't get her name but if she ever wanted to be a maid at a maid cafe, she'd be one of the top favorites for sure, she was so fun and personable! We had straws tossed at us, silly jokes, there were cards in the ceiling, there was a live radio station DJ right next to our booth. It was awesome! This place is so FUN! It's very retro 50's-60's themed with each section and room having completely different themes as well? Super cool. There was one that looked like you were in a moving train car, one where it was neon and hippy themed, etc. Lots of photo opportunities and I recommend, maybe when waiting for your food just walk around and take a gander. Portions were MASSIVE. I thought I was going to be able to share an appetizer sampler (Garbage Plate) with everyone but everyone ended up ordering their own entrees making a huge massive amount of food that had to be taken home in like 4-5 to go boxes. So keep in mind your portions are gonna be larger than life. All of the food is very classic American fast food diner fare. You got your burgers, fries, sandwiches, and of course milkshakes. I also had to get an outrageous milk shake here and it was the chocolate chip brownie decadence which wasn't horribly sweet as I'd imagine and it's not as daunting as something you'd get from Black Tap. Easy to take to go too and not too thick and coagulated. For my regular drink, I got the Green River which is a nice green soda with lots of cherries on top. They also had seasonal cocktail drinks too, which is always fun. There's an arcade off to the side, you get complimentary food server hats, and even though the penny press machine gave me something off center and silly they let me have another one for free with their own coinage. Definitely worth the visit since these type of places don't really exist in SoCal anymore and I definitely will come back with friends!
