peanut butter cream pancakes, close up
Paul S.

July 24, 2018 Tuesday - 9:15 AM for breakfast 6 adults and 3 kids Atmosphere - 4 stars Food - 4 stars Service - 4 stars Background - 9 people for breakfast, sit down style while visiting Darien Lake amusement park. Atmosphere - I have never seen a Denny's attached to a truck stop, but it makes sense. They had a big picture of an old Denny's attached to truck stop in the dining area. The place is filled with a bunch of booths, tables, and a counter maybe for 6 to 7 people, I did not count the spots. Food Drinks - Coffee. Breakfast - Peanut butter cream pancakes breakfast. The pancakes are great but I have to remember to tell them to go light on the cream frosting. So rich I can feel my teeth falling out just looking at it. I pretty much scraped all of it off to leave a thin coating. For me that is the perfect amount. I would say I had four large tablespoons with after removing it. Service - 9 people is always a nightmare so I thought they did a good job. Future - Sure.

Best vegetable omelette I've ever had in a diner at Denny's cooked by Toni and served by Francesca. Incredible service.

It's a dive but clean and decent. Waitress was extremely friendly and attentive (pretty sure it…read morewas the owner). The reason my rating is low is two major problems. The food came out extremely slow. We waited for 45 minutes, for a table of 5. There were only a few people there at the time. She offered to box up the food since we spent so much time waiting we had to leave. The next problem was our food was very inconsistent. My sister had the junk plate and my son had the junk fries and they both loved their food. My sister said it was one of the better "garbage plate" type meals she's had. Me and my mom not as good. My mom said the soup was lacking any flavor and was not good at all. The main problem with our meals was we both had the egg and olive sandwich. Tasted good until at different times we both bit into egg shells. Happened more than once to the point I didn't want to eat anymore because I didn't know to expect an eggshell. Therefore both me and my mom could not finish our meals. I posted a pic so you can see it's a big piece of shell.

Quirky little dive diner not far from Batavia. The building is pretty old with crooked counters…read moreetc. which gave it some character. My breakfast was nothing special but perfectly fine. Service was a little off. She got my order wrong then disappeared. As a result I really couldn't do anything about it. Also, she gave me my coffee, cream, and sugar. But she didn't give me anything to stir it with (again disappearing). She was a young girl so I'll mark it off to inexperience. If I was in the area, I would go back.

I was a little hesitant to come here, because there are a couple of Yelp reviews saying that the…read morestaff can be rude. However, that was not my experience at all! I was greeted at the door by the bestest boy/doggo named Teddy and someone who I assumed was one of the owners. The shop is very cute, lots of gnomes, rubber ducks, and fun quotes showcasing the owners' sense of humor. The owner was actually very helpful and gave me tips on how to best enjoy my baked goods. I got ten items for a very reasonable price! Sweet roll: one of their popular items. A roll with warm sugar and cinnamon on the inside and gooey frosting on top, but I can see why they don't advertise it as a cinnamon roll. It doesn't smack you in the face with that cinnamon flavor, but has all the other good parts of the roll. Blueberry muffin: not too sweet and chock full of blueberries and streusel topping! Turnovers: I wasn't a fan of the icing sugar topping, but the puff pastry was light and flaky. I'm sure if I was home and was able to pop it in the oven it would have been amazing! Cupcakes: this was a surprising gem for me. I generally find cupcakes and their frosting to be too sweet, but the actual cake was light on the sugar and balanced well with the buttercream. The cake felt a little dry, but my cupcake was chocolate flavored and sometimes that has an innate dryness to it. I looked online, and they actually have a crazy amount of cool flavors! I would love to come back to try more flavors. All in all, a very pleasant experience, if you're in Corfu you should definitely stop by :)

Between the two of us, we ended up ordering an iced latte, a molasses cookie, a peanut butter brownie and a chocolate almond pretzel pastry. The iced latte had a goodix of milk and espresso. The molasses cookie was perfectly soft yet chewy and had a great molasses flavor along with ginger and cinnamon. The peanut butter brownie was chewy and had a good amount of peanut butter buttercream frosting topping it. I ate the chocolate almond pretzel pastry at a later time and heated it in the air fryer for a few minutes. It was flaky, buttery and flavorful. I would definitely recommend Buttercrumbs & will return if I'm in the area.
