I needed to pull off the thruway and looked for a place to grab breakfast, Linda's fit the bill. It's your typical small town diner. The diner was surprisingly full for 8:00 AM on a Saturday. I brought my family here because my kids wanted a quick bite while on a road trip. My husband and 5 kids ordered burgers and fries (all of which were grossly overcooked) I ordered their "julienne salad". This salad looked like they pulled it straight out of the trash can. Hardboiled eggs were so overcooked they were green. She tossed rolled lunch meat and chopped kraft cheese on top. There were no greens in their salad. She has no idea what green peppers, romane lettuce, arugula or spinach are. The old bat had the audacity to yell at me about my attire because I refused to pay for the garbage salad. Found this on Yelp. Even though people have mentioned that it's "out of the way" it's only 3 minutes from the thruway exit. Breakfast was EXCELLENT. Both of us had "Linda's Breakfast Special"... 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 2 bacon, 2 pieces of French toast or pancakes or toast. $6.95. Portions were large, everything was tasty, and cooked exactly as we asked for. I asked for crispy bacon and sunny side eggs with crispy bottoms (which I can rarely get anywhere other than home). We loved stopping at Linda's for breakfast. It feels like you're at home, dining with your family (it literally is a house). The prices were incredibly cheap for what you got - huge plates full of food! Was a great starting point to fuel up for a day full of cross country skiing. Way better than Original Pancake house or any of the other local breakfast places like Kaboodles, , West Alden kitchen, And probably many other breakfast places in the Buffalo New York area. Only open till two and only takes cash but well worth it. Prices are unbelievably low for amount of food and quality of food. we came in at 11:30 on Sunday closed at noon got outstanding breakfast in between. Serving staff pleasant and quick and efficient. well worth a short or even a longer drive for a good economical breakfast. If you only have a card there's an ATM to get cash inside the restaurant. Good thing to combine with getting gas at the reservation For any city folks to come out to get gas. Coffee is excellent too and my husband is a very picky connaiseur of coffee. read more

Linda likes to cook. Linda turned her ranch style house into a restaurant. We stopped for breakfast and I was surprised to see as many as 15 people doing the same at 9 am on a Friday. Everyone seems to know everyone else, but they won't bite. Our waitress was friendly and smiling, and was quick to refill our coffees. Husband had an omelet with sausage, cheese, and veggies and called it very good. I had a #1 - two eggs and bacon. Both came with home fries and toast. We also split a Belgian waffle, which was very light and fluffy; best one I've had in years. Linda buys top quality stuff for her diner - the coffee and bacon were obviously top shelf stuff. Also, for an extra buck and a half you can upgrade to real maple syrup. Unfortunately, I was disappointed in my home fries. They were pale and bland, in dire need of seasoning and a good crunchy crust. My eggs were runny (scrambled doesn't mean barely congealed, people!), too. But we'll probably return and try it again, perhaps for lunch. read more

The diner was moved from Corfu proper, (Main St) into a converted family home near the Pembroke town park. In fact it looks like a typical ranch-style home from route 77 with an enormous drive way. (easy to miss) The main entrance is now behind the house. My associate was familiar with the clientele and looking forward to pure maple syrup ($1.50 up-grade option) with pancakes. Busy Sunday brunch crowd, but the wait was short and turnover steady. I went with eggs, rye toast and home-fries that were just fine. I did not see a morning special.
