DoorDash royally messed up my $48.00 order. I called the restaurant to complain. Unfortunately, because DoorDash is a 3rd party, the manager could not refund my money. He apologized and told me I could come in and he'd make sure I received my correct order (hot). When I arrived, Jose, the manager had personally ensured my order was correct. He even doubled it and apologized for a mistake that wasn't even his to begin with. What could have been a disappointing experience was turned into one of joy because of a manager who went above and beyond to help right a wrong. Thank you, Jose! read more

Hi everyone, so My kids, my bf and I came to dennys on Huntington Dr in Duarte for dinner today 11.17.16 around 8pm and were served by Rigoberto. He was really nice. Took our orders , brought us our drinks. While we waited for the food I told my bf i was going to the restroom and as I was passing by the bar looking chairs I saw 2 ladies waiting to pay their note, and I overheard Rigoberto in Spanish saying, "se me olvido lo que ordeno la Pinche señora", which means "i forgot what that f***ing lady ordered" followed by, "crap i mest up". I thought it was rude of him saying that and I assumed he was talking about the ladies. When i returned to my table, my family all had their food except for me, and my kids tell me "oh mommy the man forgot what you ordered". I immediately recalled what i overheard and realized that the order of the F***ing lady the waiter was talking about, was mine. It was about me and he most likely said "crap i mest up" when he saw me passing by to the restroom. I told my bf , he wanted to leave but i said no, the kids are here and they're eating already. 5 minutes later Rigoberto comes with my food, i couldn't look at him anymore and I'm sure he noticed too because he didn't come out at all after that, another waiter came out to serve us . I felt really sad since i was already having a bad day and i thought it would be done over dinner. I hope he learns not to talk out loud especially if he thinks no one will hear him or understand him. The food was great though. #Dennys is not at fault for Rigoberto's action. read more

Worst service and they we're even busy I was greet when and told to sit anywhere and the greet would bring me a menu he never did bring a menu and at least 3 servers walk by several times making eye contact some of the times but acknowledging me. After my moms doctor appt, we decided to stop at Denny's to have lunch as she wanted to sit and relax for a bit. I first decided to go with the Caesar Salad with Prime Rib as my protein. After about 2 min after we ordered the waitress came back to tell me that they did not have the Caesar mix aka the romaine lettuce needed to make that salad. I was a bit surprised but I decided to just change my entree to the house salad with blue cheese. Then again she came back and said they didn't have the blue cheese dressing. It was a total bummer but I guess Denny's ranch is pretty good too, just not exactly what I wanted. The salad was great, cause you really can't mess up a salad. The prime rib was a little too over cooked, but not horrible. Being that I came in wanting one thing but ended up getting something else due to the lack of the restaurant not having certain items on its menu. I would have gave them 4 stars because the waitress was super nice and attentive, but I couldn't go higher than 3 because of the over cooked meat and no Caesar or blue dressing. Sorry Denny's cause you're usually pretty good. But it won't stop me from going there as they are the go to for super late night munchies!!! read more

Came here tonight around 8pm it was busy but our server Rosa did an excellent job. She got our refills without us telling her , every sauce we asked and napkins. She was very attentive as well. Great customer service but the food is not great at all. The kid's pizza was gross. I didn't even want to touch it. It was made on a premade crust and just kind of just nuked in the microwave for a few seconds. It was so weird looking that I couldn't even bring myself to feed it to my son. Kid's pizza=0/5 stars. The kid's orange juice was a good size and was good. I ordered just a regular cup of coffee and an English muffin which were pretty good. My husband ordered a sandwich with egg and cheese and they got it wrong two times. The 1st time they added ham when we asked specifically for no ham. The 2nd time they just pulled it out of the sandwich and gave it back. Which was gross to him because he doesn't eat that meat. The 3rd time my husband had to ask for a new sandwich. Normally I've had good experiences in the past years when I've visited this location. However this morning has been a totally different experience. A 20 minute wait to be seated on a Friday? Okay I understand that. Why a whole section was closed of i don't know. Maybe under staffed at the moment. But waiter "Diana" took a good 30 minutes before ever noticing my daughter and my mother and I waiting to order our food. Manager was the one that ask about our drinks so thank you Ms. Manger. But Diana is another story. Had that "what you want" attitude all while taking our order and bringing our food a good 40-60 minutes after ordering. Now been enjoying our meal for 20 minutes and not one single "how's everything" pass by. Sadly to say I won't be coming back to this location any time soon. Rather spend more money if it earns me better service. read more

José, the host was very friendly, as was José the server. José said José was also the cook. They were quick to help me with the 55+ order, get me a great cup of coffee and assure me that I could work at the table as long as I wanted. The food was fantastic (two-egg omelet, etc.) and José kept the coffee coming. The green turf covering the parking lot was large, tented with a continuous white cover with strings of yard lights, 14 tables, four chairs each at the foot of the Tahachepi Mountains.
