Worst service ever. I placed an order online and went to go pick it up and nobody helped me for 20 mins... The tracker showed order was ready for pick up @6:25 pm it's 7:25pm and my order is still not ready. Finally the manager decided to help me and said my order is still not ready if i wished to still wait for it. After and he and they still want me to wait for my food. We used to go to our local Dennys until we came across this location (Duarte) Not only does the food taste better but we are treated with the best service I've ever had and goes beyond words. The service is so exceptional here that it has become our families dinning spot when it comes to celebrating our kids birthdays, special occasions and some holidays. I met someone here for a discussion over dinner. It was super quiet, only 4 tables of customers - good for my meeting, but not so good for them. For having so few guests, the service was terrible. Came in late one night after a baseball tournamet 8pm Saturday. We had a party of 14 we sat down they took forever to take our order and forever to serve us. We get our bills and take to front the manager says that we are going to have to wait because system is down. No one has cash only one person had enough to pay for 2 of the bills. Only been there twice. But each time it was terrible. First time the issue was only one server there. They were responsible for bringing out the food and cleaning the tables. It was so horribly slow that I didn't order because I waited for a long time. That was in December 2022. Went back a few nights ago, January 2023. Asked for my eggs to be cooked over medium. They came up practically raw. The server replaced the order and they came out just as bad a second time. Bacon was cold, same at the French toast. My friend ordered their eggs over easy and they came out practically burnt. WTF? Another issue, I was in my military uniform and the server indicated that they would give me an additional egg at no charge. First of all...this place is spotless ...the staff is very friendly....my coffee was topped off over and over without asking and the french crepe breakfast was beautiful, served quickly and hot. I hardly ever leave reviews when people are negative because I understand sometimes people have bad days, but today I HAD no choice. I ordered to-go and they forgot to give me an item. The issue I have is that in speaking with Jose the manager, he was extremely rude and essentially told me that because they were a franchise that I could call corporate and there would be no repercussion for his behavior. I have trained and worked with customer service reps for many years and his behavior was unacceptable on all levels. A manager should not be confrontational with any customer. I refuse to ever eat at, or order from, this Denny's ever again! I can only imagine how he treats those that are intimidated by his tactics. My family and I were on our way to an event in the nearby area when we decided to stop by this location for the first time. We hesitated at first, considering past experiences at Denny's from other locations has not been satisfactory, however, this location has changed my mind and would not mind making the distant drive here more often to enjoy the food and company of the staff. The day was a Saturday afternoon and could not have been more impressed with the overall setting. We were warmly greeted by all the staff and were very prompt in ensuring we were seated fast and in an accommodating table. We were especially amazed by Manager Jose. As we were dined in, I noticed the manager Jose was smiling with an energetic aura making sure all of the customers felt like family. So much so, that he carefully walked out an elderly couple of the restaurant. In addition to the food being affordable, the food was also extremely well cooked and fresh. From prior experiences, I rarely see a manager engaging with the customers; however, the manager Jose was well on his feet to ensure all of the customers were receiving the utmost attention. I give this review 5 Stars! I definitely recommend anybody in the nearby area to visit this restaurant and be sure to ask for manager Jose. read more

A couple of years ago I told myself to never go to Denny's again, but unfortunately I really wanted to try their new pancakes. I walked in to place an order to go, and the man at the register told me that he will be with me in one moment. I smiled and said, "no problem" as he kindly helped the elderly man in front of me. The employee asked me if I was sitting in, or placing an order, and I informed him that I would like to place a to go order. A large family walked in, and after helping the elderly customer in front of me, he asked the family, "how many?" And proceeded to seat them. The employee never came back to take my order. I would have left, but like I said, I really wanted these pancakes. After waiting 5 minutes, another employee walked up and asked, "are you finally ready to order?" I was very offended by the way he asked me, but I proceeded to order. I waited 15 minutes for my food, drove home, and to my surprise, (in my sarcastic voice) the food was tasteless. I came here late last night. Honestly I was very disappointed in everything at this franchise! When you first enter they don't have a Host or Hostess to seat you, so you have to wait until you can get the attention of a Server. Even then they don't greet you and just tell you to follow them..... I requested a table next to an outlet so I could charge my phone, and the outlet didn't have a cover, which is extremely dangerous having open wires. I had a male Server that worked with attitude! Absolutely ridiculous! I was quite upset when I was trying to get his attention to ask for some water, and he would raise his voice at me. I ordered the Chicken Steak with Eggs over easy, and half way through my meal I found a hair in my hash browns! That was the end of my meal. I just stopped after that. If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. This is the worst Denny's I have ever been too. Went there not too long ago after shopping at Target with Wifey and kids. My wife and I ordered breakfast plates and the kids got kids meals. As we are eating my wife notices a long curly black hair in her omelette. Immediately I signal for the server and show her the hair. She then asks if we'd like another breakfast made and at that point we are all a little grossed out and just tell her no. Do you know what the waitress says next? "Well, it's not like they did it on purpose." Excuse me? You don't talk to customers like that. So we all get up and I go over to find a manager. All the while talking loudly about the hair in our food, making sure all the patrons could hear. The manager runs up to me and is actually very apologetic and offers to not charge us anything. That was actually the only nice thing and probably why they get one star. But the rudeness of the waitress and overall uncleanliness of the restaurant has me never wanting to go back... ever. My advice is to skip this place and try the old windmill one in Arcadia. So I wanted to start my Saturday with a good breakfast so I said why not Denny's...when I got there it took them 25 minutes to bring our drinks then took another 30 for the food so all together about an hour and once we got the food we didn't even receive it all it took another 15 minutes by the time we got everything the food was cold and we received the nastiest pizza I've ever seen...overall the worse place I've ever been food was horrible and service was just as bad...I would have been better off going to McDonald's for breakfast will not be returning again very disappointing read more

I am not sure how this Denny's isn't even in the Yelp system yet. It has been here forever. Like most Denny's, this place is great to stop in after a night of partying to get some relatively cheap eats. It's also good for those breakfasts in the morning when you're extremely hungover. I went here over the weekend, and everything was good. Mediocre food but with some good service. They kept the damn iced tea filled and that's the most important thing. Grand Slam build your own 4 item combo so if you order something you don't want it's your own damn fault. This is the perfect alternative for lazy people who don't want to waste time cracking open an egg at home, or who can't figure out how to butter a slice of bread. I would stick with the breakfasts though, everything else is kinda blah. read more

This is by FAR the ONLY Dennys I have been to that I left completely dissatisfied. First off, the app took about 15-20 minutes to reach our table (they were the nachos) and the food in about 30-40 minutes. They werent busy, atleast in the non-ballroom area. Sounds like a lot of visits but, my coffee was cold before app even got to table, and was NEVER refilled. I had asked for more splenda, he reached over to the other table and grabbed the whole sugar holder into my hand while looking annoyed. The skillet i order just felt "off", maybe i was disappointed from the wait and the service, but I have had better. The second eggs that were brought to me (I had one piece of potatoe and a few pieces of onion and bell pepper left) were slightly gooey with the eggs whites, but atleast it had yolk. While dinning, a group that had arrive soon after us, table of 5-6, left after 30 minutes, they were smarter then we were, ended up seeing them at Sonics right next door eating. Overall, this Dennys, SUCKS, and i will NEVER revisit this establishment again. The ONLY reason why I give it 1 star is because 1. I cant go lower then that And 2. The restroom was clean. This Dennys needs a makeover badly, from the slow cooks, to the depressed, slow moving, unhelpful waiters ( one waitress looked like she was working her butt off).
