Waited 20 minutes for drinks, nearly an hour for food. Sucks. Do not recommend at all

All the horror stories that other reviewers have shared is true. No one can come to this Denny's location and believe the current state of operations is okay. The food is already mid at even the best Denny's but this place is just the worst all around. Understaffed and improperly managed. Fire everyone here, shut it down, figure things out and maybe try again. Straight trash. read more

We've tried this Denny's location 3 times. Every single one has been bad. Between the horrible service (servers not checking on you) and the burnt food(literally scrambled eggs and toast) won't be back to this location. I don't even know how the place is still in business. read more

Did office lunch at Denny's. With a group of six, five of us got served quickly (sixth member's skillet took forever sadly). Despite the single food anomaly, service was quick and polite. The food was solid Denny's fare (I love their fit options. They give a lot of fruit for a side!). All in all, this was a positive experience and met my expectations. read more

So, I ate at this Denny's last night. It's like any typical Danny's. So so food, and usually friendly wait staff. Although I had a very attentive and friendly waitress, it took a while to even get seated and they were not busy at all. Not that big of a deal to me for I was in no hurry... However, I tried to order the nachos and she informed me that they were out of the queso cheese sauce that normally goes on them. That sauce is what makes those nachos good! Oh well, back to the drawing board. I ended up ordering the tilapia Ranchero. I've had that particular dish before, and it's actually pretty good, and certainly probably better for me then the nachos :-) anyhow, when the dish came out, I asked for some tartar sauce. Guess what? They were out of that too. I love my tartar sauce, and that piece of fish was very dry without it. The mashed potatoes that came with it were also kind of dry, and slightly lumpy. I do have to say however that the Caesar salad was pretty good. The Caesar dressing that Denny's uses is very tasty. However, all things considered I think it would be doubtful that I would return to this particular Denny's. I just don't think the staff are overly disciplined at this location. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would! My husband and I were seated by the hostess in the nearly empty restaurant. There were three other families, at most, that had already been served and were actively being checked on by two waiters regularly. Aside from those two waiters, there were two waiters standing by the booths by the door (supposed to be bussing tables, but shooting the breeze with table rags in their hands) and one waitress bussing tables across the restaurant. After twenty minutes of sitting at our booth, without one of the five waiters coming over to even ask if we had been served yet, my husband and I got up and began to walk out. One of the waiters by the door stopped us and asked why we were leaving. I told him we sat for twenty minutes and were not even spoken to by a waiter. His response was "I told (Waiter's name here) to make sure he got to your table!". Well apparently that waiter was too busy serving the one other table he was in charge of. We left after my little "conversation" with that waiter. Needless to say, I will never be returning to this Denny's unless the wait staff is cleared out and new, more competent employees are brought in. read more

Worst fucking Denny's ever. The waitress was amazing and even though the food took 30 to 45 minutes to get to my table and the cooks totally ignored the extra veggies part of my order. Replace the manager and replace the damn cooks. read more

I was surprised to see a Denny's on Fort Bliss, so I thought I'd go in for dinner. Bad idea The worst part was, a been there done that senior NCO type was opposite me bemoaning dropping $18 at this Denny's for a mediocre meal, when he could have gone somewhere else better for less, yet I stayed put and waited for my order instead of high tailing it out of there. The food was cold and the waitress forgot about me but tried to play it off as perfect timing for dessert. Oh and the dessert was terrible too (how do you get dessert wrong?) A tip is expected regardless of service. Try the Texas Roadhouse or something else in the food court if you want to eat on base. read more

We got seated right away (party of 3). We got a drink orders in right away and brought. The server did not ask my husband if he wanted creamer so he had to ask someone else. We waited 30+ minute after we ordered to get our food. People around us got their food first. When our food finally came we had to ask for my coffee and adequate silverware for our table. We got told "sorry and the kitchen is really backed up." Yet my eggs, hash brown and sausage were cold. When I got to my pancakes, they were really good, until I got to the middle. They were undercooked. So disappointing. The servers were all over the place and it seemed unorganized of who was serving which area (I got 7 years of server background). Better off going to Cracker Barrel for the same price. We went this morning and our waitress sucked. I ordered extra ice with my ice tea, when I got it, it was like soup, no extra ice. I also ordered hash browns, never got them and when I did, they were undercooked. My pancakes were completely cold. When I finally got my food, the server asked if I still wanted ice---uhhh yes, I ordered it. I got the manager involved, she immediately agreed, the hash browns were undercooked and had some very questionable black pieces in it, so nasty. The manager was kind enough to comp my meal and ask if I wanted anything else, which I didn't. Sorry Denny's I think I won't come back, for the price you pay, you get much better and much better at Cracker Barrel. read more

Children's menu was nice with coloring book and caramel dip for apple slices. I sent the rubber skin wings back without trying then and they were promptly taken off. Ordered half order of cheeseburger flatbread. Questionable combination at best. Denny's is much better when wasted or hung over. Maybe I will be back then and you will see a spike in rating. read more

While I appreciate Denny's being open Christmas Day... the service and the food were bad... the last few times we're not so great either. But this time was just terrible. Fast friendly service. Kitchen took a few due to us having a large party but they did a good job making sure everything came out at the same time. Cant tell if food was awesome or i've just been eating very poorly while deployed. Regardless this place really hit the spot read more

Service is just off, and food seems sub-par even for a Denny's. I mean I had to ask for things twice, three times even. I ordered the french toast with sunny-side-up eggs and sourdough toast, and a side of fries. My toast was flimsy, even the waiter said so, which is the first time EVER that I've gotten untoasted toast from Denny's.... I mean, I think it's in the name... If I could give this Denny's a zero I would. The hostess skipped us several times when we came in, even after I told her we were next. The waitress didn't even take our drink orders for 12 minutes, while tables all around us were helped. When the food came it was prepared horribly. It felt like the cook rushed the poor product. When I told the waitress she forgot my toast, she said she'd get it. No surprise that I finished my entire meal and the toast never showed up. At least the coffee was good! Alright, it's like any other denny's restaurant. The waitress took our orders, and she never asked us how we wanted our eggs to be done for the skillets. She also mixed up my order of milkshakes. I ordered a Oreo milkshake but she gave me strawberry and I had to let her know it was the wrong one. I was wondering how she could mess that up even though there was only 3 family customers in the establishment. Our food came out hot and fresh, pretty decent. She never offered any accommodation for the lack of service she gave us but I'm not surprised about it. Other than that, it's okay, not that great. Went for late breakfast service was prompt. Waitress was on her game keep checking on us for refills or anything else. The hash brown with cheddar there wasn't as much cheddar as I expected but that's all good. Sweet tea was spot on and was cool when it arrived! Peanut butter cup pancakes awesome but extremely sweet so for warning for those who can't handle a good amount of sugar. We got in at 0845, it's now 1010 and all we have had are our drinks...no refills. THE LONGEST WAIT EVERYTIME, why are we still here? My family has invested time and don't want to leave. For some reason, service is extremely slow. This is true even if the dinning room is halfway empty. Also, while other locations offer military discount, this location does not. And it is located inside Fort Bliss! As far as food, it's pretty much the same as others. read more

Excellent kind customer service as well as delicious food. The restaurant was extremely busy when I came in for breakfast, but my wait time was extremely short. I don't think I've ever had a kinder waitress. The place was clean and you can easily customize your own combination meal for an extremely reasonable price. This is a new Dennys on post and very clean. We were seated quickly but we did not have a server for several min. When a passing waiter made eye contact he promptly took our order and sent the manager over and she put a rush on our order. The food came out quick, it was hot and very yummy. They offered a discount which we declined because the wait for a server was not that long. We will be back. read more

We went to Denny's for dinner. We were suprised to see it on post here at Ft Bliss so gave it a try. It was satisfactory. Service was a bit slow and we had to ask for drink refills. Usually this Denny's is great. However this time there was only one cook who I watched vape while on duty. My French toast was stale and cold. When I asked for fresh French toast it was brought back uncooked and gooey on the inside. Took my family to the restaurant at 0955. Sat down and ordered our meal and drinks within the first 10 minutes. Coffee went empty around 1015. Nobody came to check our drinks. Ordered two breakfast plates, but they never came. We got up and left at 1055. I attempted to pay for our drinks, but the cashier was really confused and wasn't sure how to cash us out. I explained to him that we couldn't wait any longer for food and had ran out of time. I then overheard the waitress telling some folks that had just been seated that there was a delay in the kitchen and it would take over an hour for their food. I watched another lady in the back rotate pancakes from top to bottom on a plate with her bare hand (in a potential COVID environment) as she checked them under the warmer. Plates were backed up in the kitchen under the warmer sitting for over 20 minutes. I know, because I kept looking for my eggs. Some eggs y'all.......over an hour on some eggzzzzzz.....Nobody seemed to be in charge. The waitress was working way too many tables and didn't check back one within the hour. when I first arrived at this location there was a 15 minute wait like I should've made a reservation before I came! I came to this location and instantly from the start I asked for a soda at breakfast time and I was instantly judge Eva! And when she returned with my soda with no strew! It's obvious that Eva was not train with the Denny's it kind of makes me feel like Denny's will just hire anybody but I guess they don't care about customer service! And when she did show up she didn't have the common courtesy to make sure all the food was coming all at once! We've had to constantly ask her to refill her soft drinks I asked her white bread and she gave me wheat bread Eva are you even trying! As I've said here and watch my friends cup of water go dry you would think that would be something that they would give you more of without asking because it's a natural occurring element on this planet! and now as I'm going to eat my wheat toast when I asked for white I have four pieces and only to Jelly packs! The only thing that was good about the service was my check came in a timely manner as if Denny's didn't want us to be hear! The food was phenomenal though but everybody knows you go to a restaurant for the customer service so you feel like you matter! read more

I should have read these reviews before we wasted 2 hours and 60 bucks. Only 6 other people in the store and it took over an hour to get our food the last of which came out 20+ minutes after the first meal. The food was cold and they got one of the orders wrong. When I spoke to the shift manager she acted like it was normal and didn't seem to care. Never again. Don't waste your time or money. If I could I would give this place a negative 5 stars read more

We went for a late breakfast on a Sunday and were seated within 10min (good) but then... Let me tell you... We waited veeeery long for everything (bad). It was crowded, yes. But then I don't understand why you only have 2 waitresses working in that area, of which one was just plain slow! You could see she had her favorite customers because she went all over the place but certain people she just ignored. The other waitress was running around the whole time (poor her) and was sweating very heavily which is kind of not so appropriate for when you want to keep your appetite. Also, it took those guys who always clean up more than 15 min to empty the trashed up area next to us (thanks to a bunch of wild kids!) I feel bad for the staff, but seriously... Hire more people! I know they're hot there looking for jobs so don't just have 3 waitresses working in one area. On the positive side, though, drinks were for free because we had to wait that long . read more
