Not many food choices around these hotels so went with Denny's. Which we all know of course. Trying to eat a bit healthier so I got the Garlic Peppercorn sirloin with broccoli and mashed potatoes. Wasn't sure about ordering a steak at Denny's... but it was actually pretty good! The garlic peppercorn butter made it. But that's not the reason I'm writing the review. My waitress, Deray, was wonderful and I wanted to give her a review. She was incredibly nice to me, didn't keep me waiting at all, and was very pleasant overall. i ordered an avocado bacon cheese burger from here twice and never recieved the burger. All i got was fries with whatever was supposed to be in the burger on the fries. I ordered from Uber eats AND doordash and still never got my burger. your employee/cooks or whoever is in charge is triffling for allowing this to happen to a good paying customer. This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Essington,PA. The food is always fantastic and no matter what my coworkers & I order, we are always satisfied with our meals! The servers are also great & always efficient. They're always happy, polite & accommodating. The hostess Fara, deserves all of the accolades though. I understand they are understaffed during this time. I did not mind the 20 min wait, I was not perturbed that my table needed to be wiped down. But as customers left and paid their tab the mounds of dirty dishes that remained on the tables & not being bussed was ridiculous. Then to have more customer's seated around the mess. There were 6 tables that needed to be cleared & cleaned by the time we left. One was a mess when we were seated. At this time there should be some team work. This is a restaurant. They should be working together to keep the business going. Are they trying to shut the business down. Not sure what the problem is but please try to do better. We had come in late from a flight from the Dominican Republic and had missed a connection and were staying at a nearby hotel with no food available. I ordered 6 meals for our family to take out from Denny's in Essington PA. The two waitresses were so accommodating-especially Fara. The airlines gave us meal vouchers which Fara had to void then re-ring individually. She was so efficient, helpful and generous. She even put her own money in for each meal because all I had were credit cards (I paid her back the next day). If I could give zero stars I would. I did a mobile order at 5:20 pm for a Grand slam. In case you don't know what that consist of it's two pancakes, seasonal fruit, a biscuit and red potatoes. I ordered delivery through the Denny's website. It said that that I would receive my order an hour later. I waited for an extra 10 minutes past the hour and then called. The man I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude and continued to tell me that there was no delivery option on the Denny's website, even though I clearly paid a delivery fee. I asked to be refunded since my food was not making its way to me. He then was even more rude, said he would process the refund and then abruptly hung up on me.
