I can barely hear the music over the clanking pots and pans in this place, The people serving us were awesome , food was meh and the bacon did NOT look like bacon. Overall this place was good if your idea of a diner is service and not food

First of all the waitresses were more than fantastic !!! They really look out to insure your coffee was topped off and the coffee wasn't half bad, no after taste from coffee that's been sitting around awhile. Typical Denny's as I would envision, I've only been to a Denny's in maybe four times in my life so far. Very clean and well lit. Now for the food, I think they employ child labor because what was normally one egg, the size of the two eyeballs looking up looked like only one eggs size. As for the bacon and sausage, instead of super sized I thought Rick Moranis was lurking about and shrunk the sausage and the bacon. The hash brown was great but again, where's the beef!, four hefty bites and it was gone. The pancakes, well they were pancakes, not something I would go out of my way to order but it came with the grand slam order. Probably the reason I don't eat breakfast, it's so pedestrian what people eat for breakfast, now if it were a scandinavian breakfast, now that I would jump at.

Thanks to Gabby's great service food came fast and fresh. Fit slam with eggs and turkey bacon and english muffin. Ordered side avocado and the multi grain pancakes. Thanks for the. pro driver discount heads up. Had no idea. Denny's is adjacent to casino so you may pull some slots.

My late parents always told me that some of the best food comes out of the casinos. Since they…read moreloved visiting Reno (primarily for gambling purposes), they always got an amazing prime rib or lobster dinner for a very affordable price. This takes me to the city of Fernley, NV (about 30 minutes east of Reno) where I had the opportunity in trying out "Ranch House Restaurant". This restaurant is adjacent to the "Silverado Casino" which is only a small handful of operating casinos in the Fernley area. We were both very hungry as we ventured through South Lake Tahoe, Carson City, and Virginia City, our appetite grew as the evening went on. After checking into our nearby hotel (which was luckily 1/3 mile from here) and getting washed up, we made it to the restaurant at around 7:15pm on Friday 6/19/2026. Upon entry, the interior layout looks straight out of the 1970's complete with posh booth seating, wood panels, and brick walls in a very spacious dining area. This is quite reminiscent of the old school casino restaurants in the more prominent Reno casino restaurants; mainly Silver Legacy and Nugget. Once seated, we were given two menus and requested an iced water (for myself) and a Diet Coke (for her). One minor drawback which could be a make it or break it for many is that the internal temperature of this restaurant was quite cold. My guess is that it was only around 66°F so if you plan to dine-in, come dressed accordingly! I will say that the menu is quite extensive with ton of options to choose from. This includes appetizers, all-day breakfast, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and a lot of excellent entrée choices. After making my way through the entire menu of options, I settled with the "Grilled Salmon" entrée (priced at $18.99). This consisted of a house salad, a 6 oz. filet drizzled with balsamic glaze, steamed veggies (mainly zucchini and squash), and I opted for a baked potato (that came with butter & sour cream). She chose their "Old Fashioned Cheeseburger" (priced at $12.99) which came with lettuce, tomato, pickle, & onion on a brioche bun. She opted for cheddar as her choice of cheese and the burger came with a side of seasoned steak fries. Total time took roughly 15 minutes from when we placed our orders to when we received our food. I will say this; the food here is quite delicious. My salmon was a very thick cut and at less than $20 for a salad and full entrée, you absolutely get your moneys worth. The veggies had excellent texture while my baked potato was piping hot. This isn't a 5-star dining experience with a very no-frills atmosphere but it is your above average casino food that is eerily similar to other restaurants that are adjacent to casinos that I've dined at over the decades. Our waitress, Cassandra was very polite and professional while the ambiance, price, and food was definitely above average. My rating for "Ranch House Restaurant" in Fernley, NV is a respectable four stars.

The ribs were pretty good--tender and moist--but could have used a little more BBQ sauce. The coleslaw was tasty, and the baked beans were okay, though both were seasoned on the lighter side. Our server, Parker, was pleasant, attentive, and accommodated all of our requests. She did her best despite the restaurant appearing to be short-staffed. Overall, the experience was okay, but the restaurant could benefit from stronger management support and better staffing levels. Service quality is likely to be impacted if these challenges continue, and it already seemed like employee morale may be suffering. Hopefully the team receives the support they need, as there is still good potential here.

I also find it frustrating to receive different responses from staff and to have takeout packaging vary from one visit to the next. I almost always order the same thing because they truly have the best taco salad. When I order it to go, I always request extra salsa and sour cream. However, the experience seems to vary each time--sometimes I receive pico de gallo, sometimes salsa, and sometimes neither of the items I asked for. I've also noticed that ordering late in the evening usually goes smoothly. The morning, afternoon, and early evening shifts seem to be where the experience is less consistent. At times, I hesitate before placing an order because I wonder whether it will be worth dealing with missing items again. It may seem like a small issue, but when it happens repeatedly, it becomes frustrating. Consistency matters, especially for loyal customers. I hope management can address these issues so every guest receives the same level of service, regardless of the time of day. On this particular night, Rogelio was very helpful in assisting the new cashier/server, Sydney. I also appreciate Sophie, who stepped in towards the end and helped keep things running smoothly. Sydney remained calm throughout, and even though she was obviously new, she was still pleasant and did a good job.

Today, I finally made it happen! Pictured here is the unbelievably delicious Oklahoma Smash Burger :D Shane, the owner and chef, and his staff are always so friendly and inviting. Honestly, I'd still come here even if the food weren't amazing--but thankfully, it absolutely is. I am embarrassed to admit I was skeptical the first time I heard about the chicken skin nachos, but the moment I tried them, I was hooked. They remind me of the freshest chicharrónes and give the nachos the perfect crispy texture. The Cajun queso and andouille sausage on top are incredible. I've had just about everything on the menu, and not once have I been disappointed. GET THE SALTED BUTTER PECAN ICE CREAM!! You will most likely be too stuffed to eat it there, but take some home. It'll be the best decision you ever make. If I had one complaint, it would only be that they get very busy on weekends, so it can be tough to grab a table. I highly recommend making a reservation! Especially when Chef Shane has his seafood boils, yummmm!

Our server/bartender came and introduced himself and told us the specials. We ended up ordering one of the appetizer specials, the Halibut Collar with Asian Sauce. When choosing the food he let us know to save room for ice cream which they make in house also. My hamburger and Gary's pasta were delicious but so glad that we saved some room for the ice cream too. We already have ideas of what we want to order next time. They had live music playing that night which was nice background to our evening. Talked with the owner/chef Shane, he has done an amazing job with the place.

What I received was an amazing blend of super tender pork in a slightly sweet but tangy BBQ sauce, mac n' cheese, and a perfectly cooked (not hard or dry), very generously sized potato (big enough for two). On a chilly day, when you're hungry, this absolutely fits the bill. Warming and savory, but well balanced, and not greasy. After some bowling or billiards? Perfect. I was thinking this was probably the best flavor, when I saw the rotating ad for....a spaghetti potato pie. Will have to come back and try other varieties. The cashier was very helpful and patient explaining the menu. Checked the website and looks like they update the menu with new options too. They say they're "dedicated to perfecting the art of the baked potato," and they're doing exactly that. Along with it, they're also serving up one of the best craft-style fountain sodas, Stubborn Soda. Don't hesitate to make a little detour (or order delivery) to try this place.
