They were out of the sides we ordered, and they made the decision to go ahead and charge for the combos, but only send the sandwich. $15.50 for a grilled cheese x 2, plus delivery, plus tip. $44.00 for two sandwiches. When my food arrived it was cold and the shakes melted. One of my milkshakes was only filled up 2/3rds of the way up, and for the price they charge that is ridiculous. Got my order after 15 minutes when I got there and then had to make my strawberry shake took another 5 minutes. And now that I am in my truck I saw my bag and my omelette wasn't in it. We've gone back a few times since because they're the only 24hr restaurant in town. We have literally never had a problem free experience the few times a year that we stop in either dine-in or pick-up. One episode I ordered pick up and waited forever!!! They apologized and informed me that the manager had walked off the job and they had no idea what to do. I was there for an hour (for pick up). When I got home, not only was the food cold, it wasn't right. I went back and they gave me the rest of my order. I spent 70 that night. Had about 2 bites of food. During another episode a few weeks ago, we dined in. The manger is super young and acts like it. The waitress appeared younger in age (physically) but was busting her ass awfully hard being the only waitress. I believe the manager was maybe meeting someone for a date or something strange. It was around 11pm. And I've seen that same manager in previous experiences always on break to talk to a man. This man seemed like someone she didn't know though. Not my business other than the fact that she was too busy to help her staff. She knew that I was having issues with cold food, burnt food, under cooked food and finally after an hour of no food, getting a to-go order because it was late. Not once did she stop by to ask what the issue was and how she could fix it. In fact, she wouldn't even look me in eye much less our direction. The cooks were getting frustrated having to remake orders because by the time the waitress got to the food, the dishes were cold. So they had a lot of remakes that night. The manager was useless other than sitting one party down. It's frustrating. She's always got family and or men she's meeting with. By always I mean at least 4x we've been there. Again, paid around 70 and never did eat my to-go food. I think we learned our lesson and don't want to continue wasting our hard earned money on employees that don't know how to run a restaurant. read more

We went to eat breakfast at Denny's today for the second time since they opened. I hadn't been back because the service was bad and the food was worse. But this time around we were luck enough to get great serve and great food. Our server Dayam was remarkable. She was so sweet and personable. Denny's needs more servers like her. We ordered a chorizo burrito and philly steak omelet. The burrito had such a great taste with fresh jalapeno peppers, tomatoes, cilantro, and onions. The philly steak omelet's meat was so tender and full of flavor. We personally thanked chef Miguel. He seems to know his cooking well. The hostess was also friendly. So every Denny's I have ever eaten at are generally decent for the type of place it is. Food tastes pretty much the same at each location. What made the difference here was the service. This waitress almost bought the the ghetto out of me. I felt it stirring in my stomach I couldn't ever finish eating. It was a heavy set blond I think she was European or something. I'm sure that customer service was not her calling. They where of course understaffed so Im sure no matter how she is her job is secure at Denny's. I guess I've come a long way in life. This is the worst Denny's I have ever been to. We waited 35 minutes for our food and when it came out it was cold. The two waitresses that were working were slowly walking to take care of customers. We were seated by the hostess. She got our drinks for us right away and then we sat for 15 minutes waiting on a waitress. When the waitress finally came over (after she talked with her regular customers) she was very nice. We said we already know what we want and then ordered. I ordered a sandwich and my husband ordered a burger. While we waited 35 minutes the waitress never came back over, so we got the hostess to fill our drinks. Eventually our food came out and when it did it was extremely cold. We were hungry, and of course I am pregnant so we ate our cold food. We paid $47 for the worst meal ever and sat for over an hour to see the worst show of waitressing, we will never go back. Do not waste your time here, the staff could careless. They are all just working to obtain a paycheck and could careless about your hard earned money going down the drain toward crappy service and crappy food. read more

So I've read the other reviews, and I think it's important to note what meal you ate, lunch, dinner or breakfast. I happened to stumble in there last night/this morning at 2am and there was one friendly server, and one cook. I ordered the club sandwich with a budlight, my friend ordered eggs bacon an hashbrowns. Decent helping size, she said food was good, eggs were fluffy, bacon was thick and hashbrowns were good and crisp. My club sandwich came with a different style of fry, not bad at all. The club sandwich was awesome. Fatty helpings of turkey and bacon. Unlike te other reviews, this bacon was perfect. Thick crisp, like mom makes. Not sure who the cook is on other shifts but this guy has it together. Makes you wonder why the graveyard shift cook has more skills than the crackhead working the day shifts. Judging by the other reviews an all. Food came within a reasonable time and the check was on the table before I was done eating, makes since seeing how there were only one other group in while we were there. Poor fella had to get up and go yell at a toilet before his food showed up, made for an interesting bathroom experience. Puke and rally buddy. Anyway, not a bad late night munchies stop, wish there were more servers like Karen on graveyard shifts in this line of work. What a refreshing change when dining early in the am. read more

Our party went there at around 12:30am this morning. They did not have enough help, but that was okay because you kind of have to expect that during the time we went. Our waitress was really good and tried her best, the manager, however, shouldn't be a manager. He was too busy talking to his friends and screwing around instead of helping the staff. A good manager would have been assisting with the drinks and making sure the tables were taken care of. The food was fine. read more

My husband and I went in for dinner on Friday night about 7pm. We were sat and within a few minutes our server came over and took our drink order. He dropped our drinks off and left, he returned about 5 minutes later and took our order. A different server brought our food out. At the time there was about 10 tables in the restaurant and I did see 4 servers working. Our server never came back (nor did another server or a manager) until he dropped the bill off, and even then never asked if we needed or wanted anything else. I drank cold coffee with my meal and my husband never got another refill on his drink. My food was greasy and I would have liked some extra napkins. This is the second time we have been there for dinner and the second time we have had horrible service. I hope they get it together, I do like the new menu they have. read more

Why is the food here so different? My favorite Denny's is the one located off of I80 on Mccarran. Food is great and staff is always nice at the Mccarran site. Fernley restaurant staff is rude. Worst Dennys experience ever. It was freezing cold in the restaurant, for starters. I overheard several other people complaining about it too, so it wasn't just me. Took our waitress forever to refill our drinks. We finally had to ask for the refills and still were made to wait. The restaurant was nearly empty too, it was late, there were only a few people there. We still tipped our waitress, it was her first day and the other waitresses were not helping. One was slicing lemons or something while the newby ran ragged all over the restaurant. The food was incredibly bland, even for a Dennys. We went out of our way to stop here because we're truckers and get tired of fast food and convenience store food. Went to Denny's recently and was disappointed. The service was really slow only got one refill the whole time I was there. The Waiters body language was way off almost as if he seemed he didn't want to be there. The waiter took my order without writing it down and he got it wrong. I Asked for scrambled eggs on my burger and was given sunny side up, low and behold my burger was soggy and runny. I told the waiter about it and he gave me a blank stare for a bit and asked if I wanted scrambled eggs, I declined though just wanted to leave.
