Stopped by to grab lunch. Got seated fairly quick. Cashier took drink order only to come back to tell me they were out of Coke. Waitress took my order and we got to sit and listen to one of the waiters from the back area complaining about another waitress which happened to be our waitress. He was complaining that she wasn't doing anything. Well during the time we were seated to the time she took our order she was running around other peoples food and sitting other guests. Why do customers need to hear crap like that when they come in to a place to eat. Very unprofessional in my opinion. Anyways I believe the manager on duty was also in the back cooking and had to come out and listen to the waiter from the back area bickering. So all the customers in the restaurant got to listen to him whining. So now the above ordeal has removed a cook/manager from the grill area and i had to wait a little longer for my food. I get my food and i had asked for no onions and no green peppers. Get my food and there are onions on the burger. Probably not the waitresses fault as i watched her write down what i had told her i didn't want on my burger. Absolutely would have been 5 because DAYTON IS AN AMAZING WAITER BUT sadly Janette has a real issue when she brings you you our order and its NOT like you asked for, her passive aggressive attitude made it clear that she was unhappy having to correct her mistake. She then ignored my simple request for extra ranch (happy to pay an up charge) but she suddenly went deaf & had a consistent RBF. So I was on a road trip back home from Florida and we stopped at Denny's... We sit down, we get our drinks and everything is fine until we open up the silverware. It wasn't even close to being clean. So they give us new silverware and we get our food and I don't see my pancake. So I eat, when the waitress come by again I ask, "where's my pancakes?" And she explains that I didn't order pancakes with my meal even though my meal came with pancakes! So I get my pancake like 10 minutes later and their barely even cooked. read more

My family and I visited this location and had a horrible experience. I ordered eggs and sausage. The eggs came out over done and I nicely asked for different ones because I asked for them soft. The lady said something under her breathe so I just asked again thinking she didn't hear me. She answered me rudely saying he will make more. I said ok thank you. My friends chicken tenders and fries also had a long black hair in it! She walks over to the expo line and screams at us to leave.. we all froze considering we have never been yelled at in a restaurant setting... by an employee. The manager came over thinking to talk and apologize for this. He told us she had a very long night and was tired.. Typically find myself here late at night/very early morning when I've been out late or simply have a midnight craving. The service is always poor. Servers and cooks using foul + negative language about their shifts or towards each other, shakes take over 25 minutes, orders are wrong, etc... This has all happened multiple times, when the place was not busy at all. We have decided we are not returning. read more

When entering, my party was greeted at the door, sat promptly, ordered and in no time we received our food. Our waitress was very courteous and willing to meet our every need, if any. I'm sure you're asking, "why a 1 star rating?" The place is EXTREMELY run down and in need of remodeling. When waiting for the food, I began to look around. One seasoned lady in our party stated, "don't look around or you won't eat." Immediately I stopped. The worst part, while we were eating (seated at the booth that looks directly into the kitchen) our waitress blew her nose, in the kitchen, and then used hand sanitizer. Refresher training is needed--blow your nose in the bathroom and wash your hands with soap and hot water. This place is not following the COVID rules. The staff didn't wear their masks correctly, most didn't cover their nose only their mouth, and one had it on her chin the full time. I saw one employee that actually wore her mask correctly. Saw plenty of customers walking in and around without a mask. They also sit customers right next to each other, I actually asked to have my seat changed after a big family sat right behind me. Food was okay, but not the best. Let me start this by saying I can't stand people who write nasty reviews, I've been serving in all types of places for years and i understand that things happen , a lot. Crappy people say bad things, but this is ABSOLUTELY NOT one of those reviews. I'm not a drunk party animal that dines here after the bar. I'm just a hungry sober person. I visit this Denny's maybe once or twice a week. I am getting sick of the terrible service for my 30-35% tips I leave all servers (or the manager when she is the one waiting on me) when you don't deserve it. Even on my Togo orders. Seriously! Your servers sit in front of us and complain rudely about their tables. Please shut up!!!! The manager, Ryan, and 2 other women are normally there when we visit. I'm sure anyone who works night shift will recognize me, that's how often I visit. Last night I called to see if I could get a to go order. NOPE. They're too busy . That's fine, my restaurant does that too.. (When were on a 1+ hour wait. ) So I decided to go INTO the restaurant because I really just wanted some blueberry chocolate pancakes . I live close by... Nowhere else has them at 1 am. So we go inside. We are rudely greeted by the one woman who basically yells at us saying "It's going to be a while before we can take you." That's fine, I'm cool with waiting, I get it. I told her we will wait. Mind you, I have manners. Then the woman proceeds to walk out the door we just walked in, to go smoke a cigarette with the other employee, yelling to their group of friends about crappy customers who didn't tip. Right in front of us. Right after she hollered that she's too busy to seat us. Now I'm getting pissed because there's 6 tables dining in the restaurant , and 2 people standing outside smoking who are too busy to go and bus a table. Really? Pissed me off. My friend and I sat waiting for 25 minutes while the employees walked inside , ignoring us , and went to complain about their crappy customers to the manager some more. This whole time they're ignoring us because the lady who told us to wait obviously forgot about us anyway. 2 other customers come in. They tell them to wait a minute. In this time I go outside to call and see if asiagos is open yet , and they seat the other 2 people. Really lady? We left. The manager appeared to walk out after us after the girl saw us leaving and said something finally. Screw that I sat there for 30 minutes waiting for nothing just to hear a bunch of drama that no customer should have to listen to. You guys really need some serving etiquette. Bad experience today and we are local residents that eat at Denny's weekly. We went in to eat and got ignored at the door. One server walked right past to clean her table when there were clean booths right there but she didn't ask where we'd like to sit or say a single word. Two employees at the register fixing an incorrect ticket for a young couple didn't even acknowledge us, a party of four, standing at the door waiting to be seated. I am giving this place 2 stars only for the mediocre food. Mediocre meaning the eggs were barely warm, bacon was barely warm and overly cooked/dry, hash browns pretty good. If I had gone to the restroom first, I would have left and discovered the Waffle House just down the road! Stephanie at Denny's taught me a lesson today. I was irritable and impatient with her this morning when I came to Denny's. She was the only waitress and it took her a while to seat us. There was no hostess. Then my sweet husband mentioned that she seemed to be working hard. It turned out that all the breakfast staff was late and she had been there since 11pm the night before! She was kind and gracious to us even though she was supposed to be at home in bed. I'm not sure I would have been so sweet if I had been in her place. She was a great waitress. She kept our coffee filled. I didn't want a huge breakfast so she let me get just an order of scrambled eggs and an order of hash browns. The food was good. This was my first time eating there. I don't know if the breakfast staff coming in late is a regular thing. They said they're hiring so maybe they can get some reliable people in there and get the unreliable people out. read more

Watched our waiter light his cigarette off the grill! Unfortunately I have to give out one star, when really I want to give 0 stars. I'm not even sure where to start. My boyfriend and I were out late craving some diner food. We were greeted by an obviously on major drugs waiter, who immediately told us he makes no money. Wonder why. We were the only people there. We then proceeded to watch him clean the floors 6 times during our breakfast. (Atleast that was clean) the cook finally came out to take our order. What seems to be the manager, leaves. "No sorry" "no problem I'll just light it off the grill and then run out the back." You cannot make this up!! We then watched him light his cigarette off the grill and shuffle out the back door! Leaving us in the restaurant completely alone with the cockroaches. The cook comes back, asking if we payed yet. We could have walked out of this restaurant without even paying, and no one would have noticed. Wtf. Being honest person we payed. I left him 3 dollars on 19, he said "are you serious??" I'm frustrated with this app for making me give one star. This place deserves less. The wait just to get our name on the "list" was ridiculous. We sat at the dirty booth for 10 minutes before we got to place our drink order. The staff is confused, there is no organization, and they are only slightly helpful when they decide to pay attention to you. This place was recently renovated. The only time I would go here is after bar hours, but I'd much rather do to Whataburger or Waffle House in that case. If there is a fair amount of people there during the day time it will take at least an hour to be waited on and served. There seems to be a constant turnover in staff, which often leads to unknowledgeable employees with no hustle. The last time we visited the waiter never checked on us or checked on our food. We had to go to the counter to ask what was going on. We order 2 breakfast meals and it took about 50 minutes to receive our food after we placed our order. The kitchen staff ass rude and sarcastic when questioned about what was taking so long. Then they added insult to injury by berating our server when she didn't immediately pick up over food from the window once it was plated. This is the second incident in two months. I haven't been to Denny's in years, but they offer a FREE "pick 4" breakfast in a birthday month. There were 3 of us having lunch, one with a birthday - not me! I ordered an item that came with 2 sides, one of the sides I chose was brussels sprouts, they were grilled with onion and bacon. I definitely want that recipe! This is my first yelp review and the food was disgusting. I've eaten here before, I've had food at other Denny's but this time my food looked like it was dropped on the floor and put on a plate. I got the appetizer sampler with mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, and quesadillas. Only getting three stars because of the other server there that day. I came in on Saturday morning and they were fairly busy but we got sat quickly. Our server Marcie greeted us in a hurried fashion and made it seem like if we didn't make up our mind on drinks quickly she was going to leave the table so we asked her to come back with some waters. Took almost 10 minutes to get waters and by that time we were ready to order. We asked for coffee and a sweet tea and then she hurried off before we could give her our food order. 5 minutes later she finally arrived with drinks and asked "what do we want" which is the rudest way I've ever been asked to order but we were so hungry by that time that we ignored it. Barely saw her again after that. Saw her running around chatting it up with her other tables laughing and talking but never once came back to us. The other server in her section, I believe his name was tyler, was the only one to keep our drinks filled(since she never came back to refill them), he dropped off our food and came to check up on us countless times just as if we were one of his tables. Food quality was what you can expect for the price. Not amazing but I'd definitely eat it again but definitely not with this same server. The only other time I saw her was when she came back to drop off the check! And even then not a smile or come back and see us nothing. Just set it down and walked away. She didn't even cash us out at the end. TYLER did. He's the only reason I gave three stars. At least they have one decent employee there so far that I've seen. read more
