We have only been to this Denny's once. We don't tend to get to Fountain Valley that often, but we are sure glad we stopped for breakfast there. It was just great. Never in my life have I had a poor experience before I even sat down at the table. I walked in. No one greeted me out of the 3 gentlemen at the front. I asked to use the restroom before being seated and was told to hurry up and not make a mess , because apparently as I was told a lot of people make a mess, ok .thank you for making me embarrassed and feel like a child . After O C Marathon I stopped at Denny's for lunch on the way home. The wait time for two of us was long while the restaurant was not busy. She got her breakfast long before I got my sandwich. Her egg was sunny side up instead of over easy like she ordered. I had time to look around while I waited. Their carpet was filthy, not washed for years. Our waitress was sweeping a portion of the carpet near our table during my wait when the dining room began to fill up. My sandwich came, disheveled and cold. I came to this denny's for steak and left with food poisoning. Not a joke. When i brought up the uncooked meat to the waitress she said they could only recook the SAME steak for me. I had already wasted plenty of time waiting for the food so I wasn't about to wait for a plate that might get messed with by an angry cook. So i decided to leave, the waitress decided to still charge me for the food except the steak (i didn't even touch the mashed potatoes) i told her i had already taken a bite of the raw steak and she said best she could do was cover the steak for the inconvenience. But she would still charge me for everything else. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The person who i was with also got charged for their food. I'm just gonna say rn this would be a 0 star if that was possible. Food: my family and I ordered nachos, Oreo milkshake, salmon, vegetables, hash browns, and mashed potatoes. Nachos tasted like buttcrack and the meat sauce was disgusting. You could tell the salmon was dry, not fresh, and not cooked properly, tasted worse than it looked. We always order cranberry apple salad with grill chicken, mushroom spinach cheese omelet with 6 egg whites. The food isn't too greasy and the presentation is fairly clean. Servers are friendly, the tap water tastes less tap water here, salad green is fresh and fruit quality is good as well. We don't feel bloated after eating at this location late at night. read more
