Was treated to dinner here by a friend so unfortunately I can't comment on price as they hid the bill from me but the food was awesome. Cute, comfortable interior. Booth seating is available both inside and outside - that's awesome, never seen booth seating outdoors! Ordered a Texas BBQ Burger with some fries and ranch. Ranch passes the not-too-runny test. Fries are good - crisp, seasoned like curly fries typically are but they are straight, natural cut. I may have ordered them extra crispy, I usually do. Burger was delicious, bacon onion ring, BBQ and cheese, what's not to love? Hard to mess up a western bacon cheeseburger and thankfully Woody's has a great one. Wish I would've tried a shake or malt - they looked super yummy. I had a bite of each, tasted similar so I'm unsure what the difference is. If they have a banana shake with like.. oreo or chocolate, I think that'd be divine. Service was quick, server was friendly, napkins were conveniently stocked at the table. Each booth had the fun, old-school jukebox selection, although ours was not working so I am not sure if this feature is currently active but I hope it is - always a fun thing to make people suffer with an awful song of my choice. Today we ordered To Go. I changed it up from my usual with a half order of French Toast and a cup of fruit. When I got home, there was syrup yes, but no butter. It was annoying because while I was waiting for my order, I heard one of the servers ask for some whipped butter and I was looking forward to it. I didn't see powdered sugar on it either but that may have gotten absorbed in the drive home. The fruit cup was okay, heavy on the melon. Woody's HB is the best!! The Thai chicken salad, Tuna Melt, BLT, Fajitas are all sooo good!! The ranch dressing is really good, tastes homemade. The veggie beef soup is a go to as well. Left the restaurant about 10 minutes ago. The server decided making a shake immediately when they knew our food was going to take at least 15 minutes to cook was a good idea, and then refused to remake it. Guess dessert before breakfast. Told us we were waiting on one more item and then asked if we had something in the bag they handed us. I usually eat outdoors on their patio. I guess I could have given them a few reviews because I've eaten at Woody's about 3x in the last year. Each time was a pleasant experience. I always get the french toast and my husband gets something different every time. Everything we have had so far has been great. If I could critique, I would say that more attention to the outside patrons would be appreciated. I understand that the people inside the building are closest to you, and maybe the weather outside sucks, or whatever, but it would be nice to have our cups refilled or at least asked if we want a refill more often, because we can't just raise our hand or call you over, because you can't see what is going on when you are inside. read more

Woods's Diner was a great breakfast spot for four of us on Saturday morning. We found a parking spot and the entrance to seating inside at a booth. It's too bad that the Jukebox is a display piece only. The decor is nicely done with Huntington Beach surfing motief. Our server was Hailey D. She was attentive and got our orders in good fashion. Other servers checked on us as well, and I was actually impressed by the good, friendly vibes. My order was the Corned Beef Hash with 2 eggs over well and some hash browns and Sourdough toast. My only wish was that I had more of that grilled corn beef hash because it tasted really savory good. The hash browns came out ok and putting ketchup sparingly over the top made for a good bite. The eggs were perfect, which is actually a surprise because of the different ways my order could be interpreted. I also ordered a big glass of orange juice, which came nice and cold. Food and customer service!!!! Wow what a horrible experience. Will never ever go back Order was incomplete had to ask for the rest and was met with a rude response. Waitress was very rude! Interrupted during our explanation would let me explain. I asked for the meal to be taken off when she immediately exploded into a rant never once offered an apology or to make things right.
