Came in today at 6:25pm. We were seated and then we got our drinks then we ordered. We waited for an hour, I ordered pancakes, grilled chicken, salmon, and cinnamon pancakes. Our food didn't come out. I noticed that the manager sat and ate her food... and i wondered where is our food? We waited an hour, so we decided to get up and leave. We leave with no food, watched the manager eat before us, and we walked away and left with no food and no apology. This is sadly the worst I ever had. Super understaffed, took 10 minutes to get seated and 20/30 minutes to get a cold sand which and salad(avocado was rock hard!!). We got charged for a full salad when all we wanted to do was swap the side of fries for a side salad. Manager was the one who helped us and she was super rude!! My husband had to run out to the car to get his wallet and she laughed at us and one of the servers made a rude comment to manager about the situation. Denny's used to be a good place to go for breakfast, but over the years, their menu and the quality of food really went downhill. They used to have a bigger selection for dinner items like pastas, entrees, and salads. The breakfasts are okay, definitely not good like I remember from years before. I go to IHOP now since they have a better selection and delicious fruit pancakes. I have gone to this Denny's several times and I got the club sandwich which the turkey was icy. I went to another Denny's in Anaheim and the service sucked. It was late and me and my mom were one of few guests left and it still took about a half hour to get our food. She just went away and never came and tell us what was taking so long. When I got my philly cheese steak sandwich, I asked for a side of gravy and she charged me $2 for it! Ridiculous! Don't understand why Denny's gets "slammed" with bad reviews so often. They are not considered fast food joints. This location is clean updated and food was perfect! A slight delay on seating but server acknowledged and later thanked me for being patient. Denny's are more consistent than other chains. I live not very far from this Denny's, but this was my first time going. They were pretty busy today when I went, which is a Saturday, nevertheless, they accommodated me, my wife, and my grandparents-in-law nicely. We were sat very quickly, the server was really nice and helpful. After we ordered our food, it seemed to take a little longer to get attended to then I would've liked, but after we got it, it seemed that every 3-5 minutes or so, someone made sure we were taken care of. This may sounds a little overwhelming to some, but they were very non-intrusive and helpful. I had a special situation with a gift card that I've had for years that wouldn't ever swipe though the card had a balance on it (running the numbers online to check the balance, I could tell). I previously went to a different Denny's maybe 2 years ago and tried to use it, but they wouldn't let me and hadn't been back since. Today, one of the greeters really were nice and helped me by getting the manager who explained how the situation could be resolved and taught her greeter what to do in a situation like mine. After we ate, I went back to them to use my gift card and they ran it through no problem. They were really good to my family and me and I appreciate it. Plus the food itself was great. My grandfather-in-law gave a rave review of the omelet he had and I had the super slam (all you can eat pancakes as a part of their grand slam). The ladies shared with us. Ordered hashbrown, sausage, bacon, and an English muffin. The hashbrown was undercooked and cold, the bacon was cold, the sausage was ICE cold, and the muffin was pretty good. I asked the server if they could cook the hashbrown more and heat my food. He brought my plate back that looked the exact same. Hashbrown was not cooked (still), sausage was extremely cold, and the bacon was warm. I had enough and just went to pay with my husband and son. My husband told the cashier about our experience and she COMPLETELY ignored him. She wouldn't even make eye contact with us at all. Horrible experience! read more

Excellent service and the food was good. I came here yesterday for breakfast and was greeted immediately by both the waiter and waitress (Olivia) on duty. I was seated and waited on right away. The service just couldn't have been any better. They really seemed to care about making me happy. As for the food, it was fine and pretty much what you would expect from a Denny's. I ordered the bacon avocado breakfast burrito with hash browns. The hash browns were my favorite as they were very crispy, just the way I wanted them. I do wish, however, that Denny's would serve their food, especially breakfast, on warm plates. Putting food on a cold plate makes it cool off really fast, especially if you're eating eggs. I forgot to ask them to heat up my plate when I placed my order. My bad. Overall, I highly recommend this Denny's. read more

Came in late at around 10:25pm with my parents for a late Father's Day meal. Was seated quickly and our orders were taken by Michelle. We were very hungry and ordered a side of fries first to munch on. It was our first time here and it seemed very empty so we though the service was going to be faster. Well that wasn't the case! It was 11:10 still no fries and no food. Finally they brought our food but the fries we had asked for in the beginning didn't make it until the end. This was very upsetting. I told the server I had asked for them first and her answer was "I know I'm sorry". Yea because sorry fixes everything. Then after that she seemed very rude every time she would come to our table. Honestly next time il go eat at the jack in the box next door. They don't give you horrible customer service and will bring you your food real fast. Probably the worst Denny's experience I've ever had. We were there for an hour after ordering, members of our group had to leave before the food came, and even when our food did come the fries were cold, like they had been sitting out for 30 minutes. Not sure what was going on in the kitchen that day, but we didn't finish, and never came back. If you want to go to Denny's do yourself a favor and go to either the one by Disney or Angels Stadium. I ordered breakfast to go at this place while staying at a nearby waterpark and got the newly reduced price Grand Slam for $5.99. We like our hash browns well done which makes it crispy. This place did everything that we asked for and their containers for to go is excellent and has two layers. Which separates the pancakes from the food. It was a late Thursday night after class when a group of friends and I were hungry so we stopped at Dennys. It was around 10 o clock. There was plenty of parking and the decor in the restaurant was better than decent. We were greeted and seated right when we walked in. There were only a few other guests quietly dining. We were situated at one of the bigger tables with a booth on one side. The waiter came up to us and asked us what we wanted to drink and this was where things turned to not so great. He came off as if he was in a hurry. He did not wait patiently for us to order drinks but right off the bat he assumed that we all wanted water. After, he left us for awhile before coming back to take our order. Then he disappeared for another 20-30 minutes. It seemed as if he needed to help the chef. Our appetizers came out with our entrees and that is a big no-no in my book -_- I mean that is why we have appetizers!!! I gave this restaurant 2 stars because their food is amazing and very cheap! I mean this is the place to get good food at night if you are willing to wait. While we munched on our food, not once did the waiter drop by to see if we needed anything else. By the end of our meal, all the drinks were empty and we needed refills. We even waved our hands to get the waiter's attention but he never noticed it. The host was also busy talking to her friend so she never came to check up on us either. We also had to wait for about another half an hour before we got our bill. At the very end, we were so tired of waiting that we had to bring our bill up to the host. Thank goodness they did not charge us gratuity because I would have not paid for it. When I came here, this Denny's was packed. Therefore, I was more lenient with the service and waiting times because they were considerably busy with other customers. My friend ordered the Smaug Fire Burger, and I ordered the $8 Spicy Cowboy Chopped Steak value meal (this is what makes Denny's worth it for me). First, their Smaug Fire burger was delicious when I took a bite of it, and my friend enjoyed it dearly. As for my meal, it never disappoints me. Onion rings on top of chopped steak, 2 sides, garlic bread, and unlimited refills for drinks. This meal can definitely be shared amongst two people ! Once we went to pay for our check, I noticed an extra charge to a side that I ordered. Puzzled, I asked them why they charged me extra for this side, and also, when I ordered that side, I even asked the waiter if it was an extra charge as well. He said no, so I relayed that to the manager. It seems to be in bad taste that they would charge me for something without telling me that it was an added charge to the meal. However, I am glad that the manager understood the discrepancies and removed the extra charge. Hey, what's all the negativity about this place??? I went here today with my family and requested a double cheeseburger with bacon, normal fries, and pickles on the side. A confusing order with all of us combined, but our waiter, Saul, managed to quickly do it. All through our order, he asked respectfully if we wanted anything else, was patient, and chatted with us. I was pleasantly surprised when I talked to him, he energetically carried on the conversation. After our food arrived, the heap of food was almost too much. I asked for a bowl for ketchup, and he promptly delivered it. After we dug in, and may I say, the food has to have an honorable mention in here. Reviews here say the food was sometimes burnt, but this place had good food. Maybe it just depends what time you go. The crunchy but still soft bun and the tomato and lettuce was what I tasted first, and it was followed by a quick burst of bacon, and then the beef hit me, and I felt like that burger was a little slice of heaven right here on earth. Right, onto the fries, which were soft but not mushy, and NONE of them were burnt, which was a first. After, Saul kept asking us if our meal was going okay, and when we required assistance he was there. We ended up giving him a $10 tip because of the great customer service there. This Denny's is probably my least favorite. I've eaten here several times because it is within walking distance from where I live. Service is really, REALLY slow. We were seated and the restaurant had maybe 10 other people and it took 20 minutes for a waiter to pick up our order. The food: Food is decent with lots of options and is pretty cheap (2, 4, 6, 8 Menu). Most of the meals are a bit bland but the classic Diner food (pancakes, waffles, etc) taste decent. Other: The menu is a bit hard to understand, and on some occasions I swear I've seen them just stick dishes in the microwave. read more

Worst service ever! Went here after a show at the observatory pretty late at night with only a few customers in the restaurant. Me and my friends ordered food, but it took forever to get to us. So we decided to leave. A few minutes later, my friend realized his keys were gone so we go back inside to ask for them. They told us we could look around where we sat. They weren't there. I went and left my phone number on a piece of paper so they can reach me if they find it. We leave and all of a sudden the waiter and manager came out yelling, "hey, I guess you don't want your keys back!" We were so confused and pretty upset. They made us look around for our keys even though they had it the whole time. They thought my friend was being aggressive and called the police on us! What the fuck kinda experience is that?! The cops stop us to harass us for leaving Denny's without paying for the food that never came out. We ended up not getting the keys and having to pay for a $50 Uber. Now we have to go back and get the keys. Hopefully they don't call the police again. read more

It's the first time that I ordered trough yelp and it was ok. The only thing i was a little bit disappointed that took a little bit longer to get my order even when It was me that going to pick it up but because I used yelp many order was considered like someone was going to pick up and deliver to me when it was me that was going to pick it up so took me 45 minutes to be ready but now I know for future orders how really works but my food was great!
