Denny's has evolved into a nicer place to dine out than in the past. Food is good and is a great value. The burgers are juicy and good with an abundance of fries. This location is clean and modern and has both indoor and patio seating. Service is quick and has been good each time I've been here. Service was quick even with the weekend breakfast crowd. Denny's is Denny's. For years, the staff at Denny's has had to deal with obnoxious partygoers and it never fails to amaze me how professional and patient they are with these people. They definitely keep their cool like nobody's business. The food at Denny's has it's place and time. Moons over my Hammy hits the spot deadon when it's 2am and you just want something greasy to sop up all that booze you just consumed. The lumberjack slam is hubby's favorite on his cheat days. This is the only Denny's to come too. The management and team there are top notch. Service and food are ALWAYS on point. My wife and I ordered food there several times during the lockdowns and have been impressed with the quality of the food every time. Orders are always ready on time and packaged nicely. Prior to lockdowns, we ate in the restaurant several times and had excellent experiences - really clean inside, friendly staff, great food. Denny's is Denny's. Food is average, but not horrible. Unfortunately, it's one of the few places open 24/7 in Irvine. The two guys who used to work here, Ben and Ismael, were the best! We used to eat here once a week because they were so nice! They really took care of their regulars - gave us free slices of pie and extra garlic bread, didn't charge us for drinks half the time, and always thanked us for coming back. But I haven't seen them around for a while now, hopefully they found better paying jobs! The current waiters/waitresses are alright, they just do what they have to do. One time I tried to call in a take-out order, the guy put me on hold and forgot about me! 5 minutes later, I called again and the phone was busy, LOL. Before deciding to eat somewhere else, I tried calling for the last time. The same guy answered, apologized and said that he got busy. I don't live very far away from here. When I got to the restaurant I was expecting it to be crowded since the guy couldn't take my phone call, and guess what? It was pretty much dead except for two couples there having dinner. Refillable hot chocolate! Went here for breakfast this morning. Had the grand slam where you can choose your own 4 items. The pancakes were okay, nothing super spectacular. The eggs and hash brown similar. This is a chain franchise so its A-OK food. The plus side this morning was that servers were dressed up because it was halloween, so that was nice to see. Parking is pretty packed for a sunday morning and its right next to knollwood. Overall, if your looking for something simple this will due. Fantastic breakfast. Waitress was perfect - brought coffee at the right time, was very friendly and professional. Food was wonderful. I ordered the Berry Vanilla Crepe Breakfast. The scrambled cheese eggs are amazing!!! My husband and I follow keto (low carb, high fat) diet and we love going to Denny's...and this one is one of the best. Clean, quick and generally pretty accurate...and the food tastes great! Our usual order is a Build Your Own Grand Slam: scrambled cheese eggs, bacon, zucchini/squash and broccoli (my husband has sausage instead of broccoli). Talked Spanish the entire time in my face like I couldn't understand the bad things they were saying the whole time. Then got cold runny eggs after ordering them over medium. To top it off when I went to pay they stole my sunglasses. When I asked them the server told me I never had sunglasses!!! What??! Terrible service, cold awful food made wrong and a pack of thieves. Went to Denny's last night because we were hungry at midnight and the only thing open besides fast food was Denny's. We ordered the value grand slam and prime rib cheese steak. Pros: Open 24/7 Cons: The person who ordered after us received their order first even though we had a small order, the fries were cold and soggy, the cheese steak had peppers and onions even though we clarified several times that we wanted those left out. Solid 3 stars for being one of the few places open on Christmas, but they need to get their to-go orders on point. We should not have received cold food after waiting forever. read more

Undeniably, once I met with the General Manager Javier Garcia, I was not only welcomed, but my necessity to have a quick Cobb Salad, was addressed in a few minutes. I was working in the area, needing a quick lunch, and never have I been so confidently reassured of timing with care, before i met Javier, Juan, Gustavo, and another lady. Service was good. Double cheeseburger I ordered, the meat was so full of grease when I took a bite, it came gushing out. My shirt and plate were full of grease. Fries were soaked in grease from the burger. So when we were done, they have you pay at the table. I show the waiter my AARP card which dennys gives you a 15% discount. NOT HERE. Wow. This places consistently exceeds my expectations. Drunk or sober this place is constantly giving me great service. Juan is probably one of the most nicest employees and devout to the business. He always greets me or my family with the urge to help and get us fed. I've been to a lot of Denny's in my life time and this is by far the most professional, friendly and best cooked meals by far. When it comes to our kids for breakfast this is their favorite place! Especially our daughter, when we ask her where and what she wants to eat for breakfast her answer is always, "let's go to uncle Denny's house!" She thinks that the GM there is Denny and that we go to his house to eat! Lol The staff there are amazing and always very welcoming. Every time we walk in they make us feel at home and everyone acknowledges us and our children feel special. After going there for a while now, we also notice that there are quite a few regulars that go in to eat there in a daily basis. We see the relationships that a lot of the workers have created with these people and it's very heartwarming. It's not just the people here that make the experience, it's the food as well. The food is very tasty and everything that we have tried on the menu has been delicious. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quick bite or sit down and enjoy the staff! read more

The first thing you notice when you walk in, are the bulbs. Never have I ever seen a diner with such classy lightbulb covers. You take seat, you open up a menú, and There. It. Is. "50% Fluffier". Lemme tell you, these pancakes aint 50% fluffier... they are AT LEAST 55% fluffier than anything I have ever eaten. Never have I ever not ordered the motzie sticks. 11/10 would reccomend. However, the shining light of our experience twas not the food. But what was it? You may be thinking it must be the halloween decorations, but nay, twas our server, Alyssa. What a fun Saturday breakfast at this Sand Canyon Denny's. It's a very nice and clean Dennys. Everyone is so friendly and cheerful. Jorge was our server and he is fabulous. We both had the grand slam breakfast. Their pancakes are very good and I really liked their chicken sausage. My husband asked for well done hash browns and that's exactly how we got them. One of my favorite Denny's, has the retro 50's look and soundtrack. I love the half table and half booth with moveable table. My go to is Moons over my Hammy with fruit. I got fresh strawberries, bananas, grapes and cantaloupe. I usually also get the 2 for $2 pancakes and I asked for heated syrup. I got a really nice white pourable container with a handle. Not the little plastic container that other Denny's serve. My friend got the Mediterranean Chicken and said it's so much better than a similar dish at Coco's. read more

Service is mediocre, food is bland, and they always get the order wrong. I order bacon as a topping and they give me sausage. I order grilled chicken and I get fried chicken. Their pancakes are so so. Only gripe is they get the order wrong all the time. Most of the workers are Mexicans, so maybe their version of bacon is sausage. I don't know and I don't care.
