I just want to take a few minutes to give the manager of this particular Denny's and his staff a huge shout out and thank you for their service, I was there yesterday morning with my son to get a quick breakfast treat and they went above and beyond to keep us all safe and maintaining a great attitude thru it all. Just plain bad. The food tastes like hospital food, even though it is loaded in with salt and fat it still has no flavor. Not a fan of their breakfast or lunch items, their healthier items are still so bad for you, the quality is just very poor in everything that they serve. Before work, my friend and I would sometimes stop by for breakfast. The waiter, Johnathan, is very friendly and attentive. Seems like a lot of customers are returning customers who Johnathan is friendly too (he's friendly too everyone as well.) The experience for me is unlike any other Denny's I've been too service wise. This Denny's is awesome. The food is great and the environment and staff are always so welcoming and friendly every time I've been there. I went this morning with my wife and young daughter. First, we we're seated right away out on the patio, which was nice. Then, we ordered our food a few minutes later. We explained that my wife is pregnant and isn't supposed to eat deli meat like turkey or ham unless it's cooked, but she's been craving a club sandwich. Our server, Gustavo, was completely accommodating to this, and said it was no problem to cook the meat first. When the food came out, before setting down the plate with the club sandwich, Gustavo noticed that the kitchen forgot to cook the meat. He apologized sincerely and rushed off to have it fixed. A few minutes later he brought out a new sandwich - not just the same one with the meat cooked, Gustavo let us know they made a whole new one, knowing that the other ingredients could have germs from uncooked deli meat on them. I thought that was fantastic. Our server Gustavo is what not just every server should aspire to be, but he is an example of how all people should perform their jobs. He had a really positive and friendly attitude, was really good at his job, and you could tell that he really cared. 5/5 stars for Gustavo. The food was also great. I've had that same club sandwich in the past and I love it. Today I got a burger and it was great, and I tried my daughter's pancakes which we're also very tasty. She also mentioned that she liked the sausage that she got too. Also, the fries are on point here. Finally, they had some colorful balloons waving around in the wind outside, and since we were on the patio, my daughter said she wanted one. I figured the chances were slim that they sold balloons there, but I asked Gustavo anyway. "Do you guys sell those balloons?" And he just looked at my daughter and said, "Oh you want a balloon? Which color?" And she told him that she wanted blue. Gustavo went over to one of the balloons waving around, untied it, walked over and gave it to my daughter. He then went and grabbed a few more and handed them out to all of the other kids on the patio. It was so awesome, all of the kids and families were so delighted. It was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while, and all for $30 bucks before tip. Looking forward to coming back again soon. read more

I've been eating at this Denny's for years. Food is OK -- typical Denny's. Went there the other night, ate my main course and went to the bathroom. I left the bill and my eyeglass case on the table. When I came back, I saw that they had seated a family at my table! I wanted to get a cup of coffee and they seated me at another table, brought my eyeglass case to me. I told the manager that this was very strange and I had never experienced anything like this before. He said he was sorry, but the apology was obviously not sincere. If I have ever been to a Denny's before, perhaps it was during a road trip in the middle of no-where. I know better than to eat at old-American diners... or do I? I did end up eating breakfast here today. Though never again. We fell into the trap after seeing a bus driving around town advertising "Tres Leches Pancakes". If you have ever tried real tres leches dessert, how would this not sound extremely appetizing?! So that was our trap. We found our nearest location (which wasn't near at all - that should have been the other give away in Orange County) and showed up for early breakfast. It turns out that their special menu not only included Tres Leches Pancakes but also a Dulce de Leche Pancake. Since there were 2 of us in our party, we ordered one of each. Now, for full disclosure, I did ask our server -Gustavo- if the Dulce de Leche and the Tres Leches pancakes were the real deal... he said no, but that they were good non-the-less. So we lowered our expectations and ordered them anyway. We wanted to make our own mind on how good or bad these were. Our server's honesty won Denny's the extra start. The pancakes were terrible. The Dulce de Leche pancakes must be adopted children of the cinnamon family, never met their biological parents after whom they were named. No dulce de leche to be seen in there. Not even the crappy long lost cousing, Caramel, that Americans often confuse with dulce de leche. Sugary Cinnamon pancakes would be a better name for these things. Then came the time to steal some Tres Leches from my partner's plate. If you have never had tres leches in your life, it is a very simple dessert consisting of a plain spongy cake drenched in a sauce consisting of equal parts of condensed milk, evaporated milk, and cream/milk. Really hard to get the sauce wrong. Dirt cheap to make as well. But somehow Denny's just flat out decided to crap on Hispanic traditional food (I wonder if they are big supporters of our current president, which would explain everything). Again, big on cinnamon -though not as much as the "Dulce de Leche" pancakes and something vanilla-ish. On top was a wanna-be horchata ice cream scoop that helped moist a rather dry pancake. Now, I could have partially forgiven this experience for the huge let down of the pancakes. However, we ordered these pancakes as a breakfast combo, so we were also delighted -yes, I'm being sarcastic- with cold scrambled eggs and hash browns. I didn't ask my partner how was the bacon... but I don't think you would choose a diner based on the bacon alone. read more

So gross. Walked in super late, a little before 2AM, starving and the place smelled like they had sewage problems. What made it worse was they had a caution sign up as if they had just mopped the floors, so it made me wonder what water they used. Went with the family for brunch on labor day. This place has been our go to place for brunch/breakfast for many years. What we experienced that day has made it the last time we will be spending our money at this establishment. Service - 1 star Juan A was our server. When we placed our order, we specifically told him our kids do not want butter on top of the pancakes. I emphasized this several times when ordering. And guess what, the pancakes came with butter. When I told him this, he just stood there unapologetic. I also ordered a coffee and not once during our meal did he come over and ask if I wanted a refill or if we needed anything else. However, we noticed that he would frequent other tables and banter in spanish and would see if they needed anything, but would intentionally skip our table. It's a Denny's.... so-so food turned awesome by late night food runs. Actually came here for dinner at a normal (7pm) time and experienced the WORST service I've had anywhere. It took forever to flag a waiter down to order, we didn't get any refills for our water, no one stopped by to see how we were doing and it took forever to get our check. Once we got the check, we waited around for another 15 minutes for a cashier, but no one showed up.. so we just paid for the meal and whatever was left over was 'tip.' The server Miguel is very rude. Rushes you when there's four tables at 2am. We walk in and he shakes his head like "no" and says "you can sit but all the tables are all dirty for a while. It's just me." Oh, that's fine! We end up waiting 15 minutes minutes to order. Probably would have been better just to say "there's a 15 minute wait, is that okay?" Or something along those lines. We saw him do this and worse to three other parties of two behind us. When we ordered we asked some questions and he was very pushy and rushing is. "Are these good?" "Just order what you want" ...okay... He pointed out that it was only him about six times. The host guy was a little unfriendly, but the server was nice! I got the Double Berry fruit pancake plate, which had eggs, hash browns, and two strips of bacon. I asked for "over medium" and it was 100% over easy, looked like there was no effort put into leaving the eggs on for a little longer. That was disappointing, but otherwise the meal was fine. Their new fluffy pancakes are indeed quite fluffy! My wife said that it's all just air in there, but I thought it was tasty! Overall, a little expensive, but not unreasonable. My family and we're getting ready to head back to AZ we decided to stop somewhere for breakfast. I am so happy that we stopped at this Denny's. As we were entering the restaurant we were greeted with a smile by the Manager Javier Garcia he was super friendly. Honestly I don't remember the last time we were greeted like that, it was awesome! We then proceeded to get seated and our server was absolutely amazing Tony (Antonio O) was on point he was also very nice, he was very attentive. Our meals were served perfect and our drinks were always refilled with out us having to wait or ask. To top it off the place was super clean, and the food was delicious. This place was slammed on a thursday afternoon at 2pm - the manager and 2 servers for a packed house. They performed excellently under pressure and still kept us happy despite being seriously undermanned. I can only imagine how great they are under normal conditions. Not many choices for 24hr eats in this town.. Denny's is decent at least. Smothered cheese fries used to be great until they started using Cheese wiz for the cheese. It used to be real cheese. Too bad, that was a great eat. The burger's are decent. Not bad. Better than IHOP & Harbor house.. The french toast is decent. Small portion, but quite OK..
