08.11.25. 1st time eating here as my wonderful wife and I were in the area just checking out what's new in Kapolei. We live Mililani. -- Upon entering, we was greeted and taken care of right away. The atmosphere and "vibe" was warm and welcoming. All the staff that we came across were courteous and friendly. Came in around 4:15pm and there was 8 other tables with family's. Our Server, didn't get her name but she checked on us quite frequently and filled our water's. My wife had initially wanted the Bacon Avocado Burger. However, we was informed that their avocado weren't ripe. No worries! Instead, she opted for the Cheeseburger with bacon and seasoned fries. I ordered the Double Cheeseburger for $2 more along with added mushrooms. I "should've" just ordered the regular size Cheeseburger. This thing was HUGE lol -- Surprisingly, this was "Hands-Down" DA BEST CHEESEBURGER I ever had at ANY OTHER DENNY'S ON ISLAND, "including" the mainland!!! Just even writing this review and my mouth is watering LMAO -- Both Beef patties were WELL-SEASONED and COOKED TO PERFECTION!!!!! That slightly sweet and pillow-soft Brioche bun. AWWW... I close my eyes. Succulent, thick, juicy, not greasy, Nom, Nom, Nom, I stay drooling right now lol - I mean, on the first bite. Tasted SO ONO I didn't even think of adding ketchup, mustard, mayo, or anything. Btw, my wife LOVED her Cheeseburger too! She got all wide-eyed on her first bite. She was like, "WOW, MSG???" J/K Hahaha -- Whatever it is, keep it up!!! We'll DEFINITELY come back again when we on dis side of island. Most likely, sooner than later. We LOVE Burgers!!! Such a disappointment. The only thing good was our waitress. The food really lacked. I got 4 onion rings but I paid for the up charge from fries. The lettuce in my sandwich was completely wilted my husband's mile high Denver omelette was incredibly lacking. It was made with only American cheese, no cheddar cheese and he had maybe two spoonfuls of hash browns. The cooks and the weight staff were on the side of the restaurant blasting their music. Walking in on a rainy Saturday afternoon we were just expecting a hot cup of coffee and maybe pancakes. The Fountain drinks were not available so we did end up altering our orders with no big dilemma considering the large selection available. It did appear to be short staffed at first sight but this doesn't bother us at all because the service and location is always worth any delay that occurs. You will most likely run into old classmates or family members when dinning and it makes for a warm and inviting atmosphere. The Staff was amazing, attentive and pleasant from the manager to the kitchen, the true star of course was our Server Gavin, a true Rockstar. There were order status updates on the wide, check-ins and just a general sense of care and pride with how service was given, regardless of how many booths were filled and how many people arrived, Gavin and the Staff remained upbeat and cheerful nonetheless. What a beautiful store it is here at kapolei dennys. I walked in and was greeted with warm hello. They were extremely busy but the young lady greeted us and said I'll be right with you. She came back and took our name and said it will be 15mins wait. But she sat us in 10mins. Our server named Tasha was amazing, funny, and very informative of the dennys menu. We have never tried a salmon dinner with mushrooms onions and spinach before (which she recommended) and it was absolutely delicious. My wife had the stuffed French toast with egg (Tasha recommends onions and avocado in the eggs) my wife absolutely loved it. We had such an amazing experience and we will definitely be coming back. Came for a late breakfast brunch with my mini. There was a 15-20 minute wait which was fine. I did notice a lot of tables open but not that many servers. We sat and waited for our order to be taken. Took about a quick 5 minutes and our server took our order and brought out or drinks. I ordered the choconana pancake breakfast along with my daughters Anniversary pancakes and side banana. So far I'm liking this location better than others. They give the "deals" menu without asking for it and they give you all the options without starting with... "Right now we are out of..." lol It's morning so this place is pretty quiet filled with older seniors. Had we live closer this would definitely be our go to Dennys. read more

My complaint is simple: I came in for a classic breakfast and left frustrated. I ordered a Slam and a hot cup of coffee. Unfortunately, the server didn't seem to know what was included in the Slam, and the meal arrived in scattered segments instead of all at once. Worse, the coffee was lukewarm--not the hot, fresh cup you expect in the morning. I politely asked for a hot one, but the second cup was also cold. It felt like the server either didn't notice or didn't care that the coffee wasn't fresh. Maybe the burner was off, but that's something the staff should be aware of. When I mentioned it to the cashier, I was told I should have asked them to make a new pot. That response just added to the frustration--shouldn't serving hot coffee be the default, not a special request? In the end, I left and went to the Waikele Starbucks, where I immediately got what I wanted: a fresh, hot cup of coffee served with a smile. Denny's should take note. read more

Really nice people here and their food is actually good. But they advertise as 24hr and are not truly 24hr. So they should update the hours. Went at 2am and was offered salads and fruit cup. Maybe it was a one time thing? Maybe not I don't know. The whole place is very clean though and I do enjoy going here. read more

Man, the days of Denny's being somewhat of a bargain are long gone. Options such as an omelette plate run about $17.99. This time, I opted for a burger & opted for onion rings for $.99 extra instead of fries. The server asked if I wanted jalapeños for an extra charge... no thanks. I asked for ranch for the onion rings and that was $1.19 extra... jeez! I should have stuck w/ the fries that come w/ the meal instead of the 5 onion rings for $.99 extra + the $1.19 ranch! I don't mind the up-charge for the onion rings but for ranch? Or for a few jalapeños thrown on the burger if I wanted them? I ordered food on Uber Eats and waited over an hour to receive my food. When I finally got my food everything was cold, I ordered scrambled eggs and my eggs were watery, my chocolate pancakes were burnt, my hash browns were burnt, my crapes didn't have any vanilla cream filling in it and the strawberries were sour. I've eaten at Denny's many times before and this time the food was the worse. I spent over $50 and I barely ate anything and threw eveything away. read more

I love this place. How have I lived here my whole life and not come here to eat? Located near Target and the theater, Dennys has a great local feel to it and very clean. Bathrooms are also clean and sign plaque stating they take cleaning seriously and to report if the bathroom needs cleaning. Kay done with the bathroom... let's talk food lol. Way better deal then Anna Millers (which isn't even 24 hrs), thank you Dennys to satisfy any odd hr cravings haha. I got the short berry dream cakes for 12.99. Let's just say I couldn't finish it all, so much food for a good bargain price. The other items were also reasonably priced. My friend got the all you can eat eggs, pancakes, and hash browns. Also was reasonably priced at about $10. The service is also very good. The waitress was very nice and prompt. Make sure to head on down! Especially if your craving some pancakes at 2 AM! Walked in on 10/20/2025 at 11:00am. I wanted to place a takeout order. Hostess with pink/red hair helped a disabled man in front of me at front check in. I was next in line. She then seated a woman. Then came back and walked right past me without acknowledging I existed. I continued to wait there standing at hostess booth. She then started cleaning tables and doing waitress work. Then another man comes from behind me and she says "Hi". He asked her "How long the wait?" She replies "30 minutes". Then she walks off still not acknowledging I am there. What did I do? I didn't even get to speak to anyone so why was I IGNORED???? No way I could be an ASS-hole because I didn't get to say anything until I told the bus boy to get the manager. I told the manager too- go look at the security cameras for proof of my complaint. This place gone gone DOWNHILL from the great service it USED TO BE. Complete failure!!!! Or is this a racial thing or they think I got no money or what could be the reason they acted like this? Another great meal at Denny's! Vanasa was our sweet & amazing server & the food is great. We ordered from the $2 $4 $6 $8 menu for the second time & it did not disappoint! I tried the grilled cheese & soup combo for $8 & it was far better than most other restaurants. Grilled on sourdough bread with multiple cheeses! I really wish the effects of the pandemic would end. Worker shortages especially in the restaurant field is very evident. Saw it this morning at Dennys in Kapolei. Went there early on a Sunday, before the pandemic it would have been packed. This morning only a third full. There was a couple ahead of us. The hostess picked menus and place settings in her hand. But she didn't seat them. They sat in seats nearby the front desk. Then she looked at us and said, 'Yes?" Which I thought was weird but ok. We replied table for two. She told us there was a wait of 15 minutes and when we repeated, 15 minutes? She then said 10 to 15 minutes. My partner told her both sides of the dining room was empty. She said they were short staffed. So we waited. And within the ten minutes she sat the first couple and us. (In the mean time a six top, five and four tops came in and waited outside. Waitress came to the table fairly promptly and gave us drinks. After a short wait we got our food. It was normal Dennys food, nothing special. It was ok. But noticed the menu was abbreviated but contained all the regular Denny's staples. So I'm not sure if the menu was,cut backed for the kitchen staff or supply issues. Anyway, it was ok. Nothing awful and nothing terrific. The new normal. Do just have to accept it or will it change? read more

I love the Kapolei location. The host was amazing. She was polite, had a good vibe and seated us as soon as she could. Drinks came out quick. Their pineapple smoothie is so yummy!!! Lots to choose from and breakfast is served all day. I love breakfast for dinner sometimes. This time I decided to order off the dinner items. To my surprise the country fried steak was delicious. My daughter had the pot roast and she enjoyed it too. I'll definitely be back The only problem now is deciding if I'm gonna order breakfast or dinner. Lol! read more

So this Denny's location has become our favorite since we've discovered it. The staff is usually very friendly and efficient even on their busier days. I feel that you always get a bang for your buck here, meaning that you get your money's worth. It's really more about quantity than quality though honestly when we come here. On our last visit we came in for breakfast on a Sunday and had a 20 minute wait to be seated. Once we were seated it took some time for our waitress to make it over to our table to take our drink orders. Granted it was rather busy but she kept forgetting things after we asked for them or took a really long time to bring it to the table. For example I asked for pepper and waited at least 10 minutes before I got it. Refills also took a while to make it to the table. Another thing that has bothered me the last couple times we came they were out of different menu items. One time the were out of whipped cream and another time they couldn't make any benedict's or crepes! Even still we will continue to frequent this location for a satisfying meal at a reasonable price and the overall friendly staff. read more
