If I could give it a half a star I would I show up 39 mins after ordering on the app and I come in and ask them if my order is ready and she goes to the back and then comes back up to the front and says they got a full screen but she doesn't do that once but 5 times. A late breakfast at Denny's, 1108 S. Fort Hood Rd, today. I ordered the $5 Breakfast Slam which listed the ingredients as 2 eggs, hashbrowns and toast. I told the waitress to hold the toast because I am ALLERGIC TO GLUTEN. There was also a special menu that could be ordered by taking a photo of their QR code, so I ordered a cup of hot chocolate from that menu. Three hours later my right arm started itching violently and I kept scratching until the skin broke. I knew this was an allergic reaction to something I ate so I took my allergy meds to stop the itching. I have eaten the same breakfast before at Denny's and had no allergic reaction but this was the first time I had ordered the hot chocolate. I researched the ingredients and found out that DaVinci Gourmet Chocolate Sauce | Cocoa Sauce is an ingredient in Denny's hot chocolate and it contains GLUCOSE SYRUP. A NOTE TO DENNY'S...PLEASE, PLEASE TELL YOUR WAIT STAFF TO ADVISE YOUR PATRONS WHO ARE ALLERGIC TO GLUTEN THAT THE HOT CHOCOLATE CONTAINS GLUCOSE, SINCE A SEVERE REACTION TO GLUCOSE CAN LEAD TO DEATH BECAUSE THE THROAT CONSTRICTS. read more

I tried to spread my money around town. So Dennys for breakfast this time. Went in took 15 min to get seated. Once again they were understaffed. Took another 20 min to take my order. This is on a Monday morning not like its packed here. Maybe 10 customers tops. Was told they are short 2 people so its going to be awhile. That was my hint to leave but stayed anyway. As I was already here. Waitress is very friendly. And apologized for the wait. But this is the 4th time I have been here and my last. This place is as slow as BK on base. They need to be full staffed at all times, cooks and waitresses. read more

Denny's used to be THE place to go for a great pancake breakfast. Their "Slam" deals were amazing. Unfortunately they have come down with the Killeen Curse at this location. Service is absolutely horrible. Dishes take forever to be served and come out stale and barely warm. There's just so many times a complaint to the manager can be replied with "we're missing most of our cooks today." THEIR COOKS ARE ALWAYS OUT!!!! You would think that their corporate headquarters would get involved to clean up this amateur act. We've NEVER had this problem at Denny's in Round Rock where people know how to work. read more

i haven't been to dennys in over a decade because last time i had went, my whole family got sick and the food wasn't the greatest. i came to this dennys in killeen on jan 19, 2025 for a birthday celebration for one of my family members and we had the greatest experience. our server, greyson, was so amazing and kind, she had a smile that seemed so genuine and pure ! then the cook who had made our food did an absolutely amazing job, even came to our table and had thanked one of my family members for a challenge because she had ordered one of her food items a certain way that is very rare/ uncommonly asked. he was a dark/ light skinned guy and he was the sweetest ever! even gave us a little back story on his cooking career. i had spoken to nae, i believe her name was, and even though the conversation was quick, she was very attentive in the conversation and kind. thank you all for the greatest experience, we will definitely be returning customers! read more

Ordered food to go last night and I was disappointed (as per usual but I've only come to learn some *new* things...). 1. I was disappointed because my order was wrong. I ordered choconana Pancakes and received no bananas, no whip cream, not even the choconanan pancakes itself. I got blueberry. And please tell me, what would have happened if I was or my little one was allergic to blueberry??? It's evident that orders are given to be made properly for a reason and when someone f's up on that, it may seem like nothing but it is in fact a 'big deal.' 2. The service was quick but quick doesn't mean that it's correct. That is another disappointment. This tells me that if I dine in, I may get the same sentiment. Being quick isn't valued as being efficient when it is done unorganized. 3. I couldn't possibly blame the workers because I just learned about the working conditions they are under. Apparently, a whole bunch of the crew quit a few weeks back and so, overnight (even on the weekends), there is only a 2-'man' crew and to that I must say, that it makes COMPLETE sense why the orders are incorrect. This one star review is definitely for how they are holding things up right now and I do not think this will change and best believe I'm going to write an email to their corporate office, cause what the hell, Denny's?!?!! This is a bad place, the waitress and cashier took my card info and the next day charged 34 dollars. I have been in that place once in a year. The manager said the refund had to come from Corporate, it never came. Guess I will have to go to Killeen PD and file charges. Waited 30 minutes for a DoorDash order that was supposed to be picked up as soon as I got there. There were 3 other door dashers waiting for orders as well. Upon waiting, orders were coming out for delivery that weren't getting picked up while there were people in the store physically waiting for their order. Horrible service. 4 different employees came out to figure out who was waiting for each order which did not improve the speed. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would, but this has to be the worst dennys, I have ever been to. There is always one 2 people at night and that's when they are the busiest. The hostess is rude. Need to hire more people for the night time. They get so busy, and have such a low staff that they have to close their doors, and only do online orders. read more

the customer service is crappy , the male working had an attitude. he kept saying he couldn't hear me but he had headphones in . if your not on your break . you don't need headphones. I don't need anything other than my food in my bowl , also I received burnt chicken that was left . the lettuce was not fresh , it se as if it's been sitting for days . i don't plan on ever coming back to this location. the the meat port is disgusting. why am I paying for something I'm not receiving. NOT COVID-19 SAFE STAY AWAY I am extremely disappointed in the service that we received from this restaurant. I waited in the parking lot for over 40 minutes for 2 to-go plates, and went inside to pay for the food. There were several people waiting in the front of the lobby, and there was no hostess. There were no COVID19 precautions being taken, people were not 6 feet apart. The only waitress around was serving a table, and her mask was OFF. The food was COLD. As soon as we got it, it was freezing. We were charged for an appetizer onion rings but I ordered a side and was served a side. There were about TEN French fries with the burger. In the pictures, NONE OF THE FOOD HAD BEEN TOUCHED. HORRIBLE. I don't ever want to come back. Not only was the food awful, and I was overcharged, this restaurant is not following safety precautions in this pandemic. Definitely don't recommend! read more

there is a lady who works there with a nose ring, she is the rudest, most entitled service worker Ive ever met. I had to wait 20 min until someone else asked me what I needed and she KNEW i was standing there. As a customer I shouldn't have to be the one to make sure the server keeps track of the customer. ESPECIALLY when there was no line. I was just there in front of a menu and she'd ask anyone else that came up. Why is it my responsibility to tell her that I'm next? thats the main reason they get one star. everyone else was great but she was legit rude to 2-3 other people I was behind in line every time and no one wanted to be rude so we just let it slide. everyone else was great. speak to this bull pierced woman so she can learn how to speak to people. also y'all's nachos aren't good.
