No hair or other foreign objects were found in our food but that was about it. But they ran out of everything. We stopped in at noon for lunch on our road trip at the end of the summer. I cannot imagine a more appropriate time for Denny's to be well stock in basics like milk, and onion rings. It also took the staff more than 15 mins to come take our order. Also, it took another 20 minutes to fire up the cash register to take out money when we tried to leave. The staff also randomly sat down to eat their own lunch between taking our order and getting our food. No gloves used and no hands washed in between their sandwich bites and picking up our dishes from the cook's window to our table. Just off. Not standard Denny's experience. read more

This Denny's was the perfect stop off during a late night drive from LA to SF. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming and the food was great for a Denny's! This particular location has been there forever and though they have messed up some of the original charm by painting over the stone walls with beige paint, it's still cozy and nostalgic inside. Highly recommend this Denny's if you're in King City as there aren't a lot of choices and this is one of the best Denny's out there! read more

Went there this morning, was seated waited 13 minutes for waiter to return for order he never came. Didn't even get to order a cup of coffee. Another person came in waitress took order as he was seated had coffee with in minutes. I would not take family there, McDonald's on other side of freeway better and at least you get served . read more

Went to Denny's in King City on Friday, June 8 about 10 PM. Service was horrible and the food mediocre. I expected more from a National chain. One person in my party asked if they could get their fries as a quick appetizer as opposed to coming with the meal. The waitress said yes and brought out two plates of fries, regular fries and not the seasoned fries that had been ordered. So far not good, but not bad either. When dinner finally came, my plate had no fries. Upon inquiry, the waitress said she'd already brought the fries. I said "no", you brought his fries, not mine. So she put in another order for fries that came after my entire entree had been consumed (a pot roast sandwich that had way over toasted bread). I also order a vanilla shake. When the waitress dropped off the shake, she said I was lucky because they were now out of milk and I got the last shake. Upon inspection, the shake had specks in it that turned out to be cookies...what the heck?...I ordered plain old vanilla. This was a lousy experience. I hope Denny's corporate looks into this location and finds out what's up because it sure sounds like a huge management problem. read more

3.5 stars I feel sorry that this place appears to be terrible due to only one 1-star review. It's a standard Denny's: You know what to expect when you go there & you pretty much get what you expected. This location looks like it's been there since the 60s (in a cool architectural way). We were seated right away, our waitress was friendly and fast, food was served promptly and tasted totally fine (i.e. like Denny's). Went here yesterday because it was my sons bday he turned eight. We waited over thirty minutes for food and all he ordered was bday cake pancakes and same with my daughter. My husband and I couldn't finish our food it tasted so awful!!! I asked for a water and there was crud floating in it. Coffee was stale. My waitress was THE WORST I have ever experienced and she said she had just got to work. She was rude and awful I don't even know her name. I said something to another worker I think a manager and was told that's how she is and basically she wasn't going to do anything about it. Usually I clean the table up and whatever and leave a nice tip. Heck no. My son was PISSED and sad she was so rude to him when he asked for a specialty cup and she gave an attitude to a dang wight year old. This was our first time here we live in Seco guess I'll just go to soledad from now on ‍ keep hiring crappy wait staff and you will surely go out of business. I'm giving this particular Denny's a decent review because it did not suck. We were traveling on 101. Not many choices. The place was clean, the host and wait staff were friendly and professional, the food was basic but fit the need and was tasty. Obviously a popular spot for early Friday afternoon diners, but who knows what else there is in King City. Hey, I don't mean to be hard or rude. For a Denny's, for a clean place to get a decent meal while on the road, it surpassed what I was expecting - in a good way. One critique: do you really need so many menu choices? Just because you have bread, eggs, cheese, flour, and potatoes doesn't mean you need to conjure up and serve up every conceivable permutation possibly created from these ingredients. We stopped here for lunch, and the service was extremely inattentive. Not only did we wait almost an hour before the waiter realized he forgot to input our order, but he lost it and forgot that he was the one that took our order at all. They also never filled up on water despite empty glasses during this very very long wait. It was terrible. And another 30 minutes or more to get my food all in all I spent 1 1/2 hours at Denny's to eat one meal. This process should have taken 15 - 30 minutes max. I lived near this city for a small amount of time. I loved going to this Denny's. Usually, Denny's is my last choice, but they really take good care of their food. It always tastes as if it's fresh, and treated with care. Seriously, a strange thing to say about a Denny's ... but this is literally my favorite Denny's in the world; whenever I drive through here on the 101, if I'm hungry, I definitely stop here; be careful though, this city is known for their Speed Traps. Usually, I got stuck eating at the one in Soledad, as it was closer to the Grocery Store that I would go to, but this one is amazing.
