The same old Dennys since when I was a kid in King City. The food is pretty good but the service is a little slow but tolerable. You know what to expect by the pictures on the menu so no surprises. I think I prefer Lawrences (the old Keefers) but this will do. read more

We got to the ranch, we were little hungry so we went to Denny's around 18:45 we sat down there were about 5 other tables in there if that, we ordered a lemonade and a Coke then the girl came over and took our order. I ordered moons over my Hammy and Johnny ordered a breakfast skillet. About 30 minutes later our waitress asked the cooks where her order was for table 21that was us! They haven't even started it yet!! So we just got up and said forget it we don't want to wait. They were going to charge us for our drinks that we only sipped on ... Then the manager said that's fine guys go ahead and go! We ended up going to 711 buying a cup of soup. It was not even busy in there . Our waitress couldn't even get the table behind us order right. He ordered a diet no ice. She repeated it. Then brings him a diet with ice. That's when we knew. Oh oh. We are not getting our food. Sure enough. Oh well saved us some money I guess. read more

My fiancé and I were seated and offered coffee immediately by a lovely person named Teresa. Then when we ordered our breakfasts, our waiter, Miguel, recognized that our orders combined were a single meal, so he put it in that way and saved us a couple bucks. All you would expect at a Denny's plus a extra helping of humanity! PS the line cook with the diamond earrings is a cutie, but nowhere near as cute as my devastatingly handsome bride to be. read more

Tried the new online ordering for the first time and it was absolutely terrible. I don't recommend it unless you want to wait an hour for your food and still be missing part of your order and they tell you it will be another 15 minutes for it to be ready, like really, so I'm suppose to take half of my order cold. Terrible. Worst part was when I asked the manager for a refund on the meal that was missing, he told me he couldn't give me a refund because I placed the order online, to go online and request my refund there. I just couldn't believe what I was hearing from the head manager. He totally needs additional training with online orders. I walked out with $12 bucks literarily stolen from me. Evening service has gone real bad. read more

I like this place. It great. It isn't the best Denny's I've been to but it is a really good one.

I come here very often and we always receive excellent fast and friendly service! Usually we are very satisfied with our meals and everything overall. Today we sat down at the table and our server Diana C tossed our menus at us almost to catch. Then as she walked away she came back to see if we were ready to order when we told her no. She stormed off from the table without saying anything with a huge attitude. When we finally ordered she reached over all of us to grab the menus without saying anything polite! When the food was brought to us 20 min later she yelled excuse me to our friend when his phone was infront of him. She slammed the plates down and took off without refilling any of our drinks considering they were half empty. King City Dennys you need to invest in a new employee because you just lost a customer and should loose all of them in my opinion. Sorry Diana no tip for you! As diners go, this is one I will return to soon. I just finished my 2014 xmas dinner. I found the place looking and smelling very clean. My waiter Miguel greeted and seated me quickly and friendly. Service was also quick. The food was correctly cooked, well presented, and not greasy or salty. The tea water was hot. My turkey dinner was hot, complete, and properly served. My only hit would be one of the 3 cooks was not wearing a cap. I did not visit the restroom, so I cannot comment there. I have been a fan of Denny's for years but this is my first review. I recommend giving them a visit if one is staying or passing through. Its a diner, but a good one. read more

went here for my bday today and my husband was not happy with his food. he got the ultimate skillet n did not have any sausages. my brother got the avocado and bacon burger and it wasn't good at all. I got some ranch and it looked weird and not as flavored as ranch should be. would I go back to this location? never again! read more

We were there on a Friday for lunch and the service was terrible! We waited for half an hour and never were greeted by a waitress. In fairness the manager said they were shorthanded and gave us drinks for free while we waited for the waitress who never greeted us. read more

We stopped at the Soledad Denny's on Christmas Day on the way down to Santa Barbara and had a great meal. Fantastic service and the food was fine. We were glad that it was better than fast food and we got a little break from the drive! read more

I really enjoy the taste of the food there and it's the perfect place to go eat at no matter what the occasion is. The only downside of this place is sometimes when I go there, there's an employe that doesn't let my guest and I choose a table to eat at. She says its easier for her if all the customers sit together. read more

I went to have breakfast today, after 2 very busy work days at school, (school employee). After eating this breakfast, I drove to work and went directly to the bathroom. The food made me so ill, I knew right away that it was filthy. I vomited all the breakfast out. Shut them down! read more

Gerri W your comments sound like that of a jealous teenager...service was good so leave it at that....no need to try and get someone fired because you are too insecure to handle another woman talking to your husband and his family....in a town as small as KC everyone knows everyone...so don't be surprised when another woman knows your husband and his family...and know that the rest of us feel sorry for you....you seem pretty sad, pathetic, really insecure and childish....if you have a personal problem with someone then handle it personally....don't hide behind yelp trying to go after someone's livelihood because you are to much of a coward to handle it yourself...and know karma is gonna pay you a visit...hopefully you will learn from it and not continue your childish ways....grow up already...high school is over....BTW Amber and the rest of the Denny's staff has always been great to my Grandma who goes there every Saturday for breakfast for longer than i can remember.... that alone they get 5 stars...thank you all at Denny's for being awesome with my Grandma... read more

Seriously, the food is always just food. I am sure it's canned, bagged, frozen, pre made, and salted whenever they can. I eat at Denny's when the time calls for it such as being in the need for food late at night. Recently the family and I were on our way home from a road trip. We reluctantly stopped at this Denny's. However, the server, Miguel, might be the nicest, most involved, most helpful, waiter I have ever come into contact with. Honestly, I would suffer through a Denny's meal in the middle of the day if I was going to be sat in his section. He helped us with saving money, choosing our meals, kept the drinks filled and brought to go cups, packed out to go containers, and bonded with our children. There are so many more examples of his work ethic it would take too long to list. Seriously he shook my hand after collecting my money and thanked me for my business! I think people should visit this Denny's just to meet Miguel. read more

Went in on a Friday night to eat and before we got seated decided to play the good old claw machine before eating. We put in our money and it was broken. When I asked a server for a refund she said "let me go clock in and ask my manager" she clocked in and proceeds to discuss a party she was going to and completely forgets what I asked. The manager was not asked, The server ended up asking another server who told her what to tell us. She comes back and says "it's not our machine so there's nothing we can do" and before I could respond she walked away and even though it says Denny's on the machine there's nothing they can do. interesting.......... The fifty cents is not the point, it's the way it was handled that I have a problem with. This is the first Denny's I've been thoroughly disappointed with. And I did NOT dine there. Customer service is everything when I eat out and when that is BAD I will take my business elsewhere. read more
