Okay, of all the Denny's I've been to, this is the only one that warrants a review. First shoutout, my man Miguel is an exceptional waiter! He's very polite, well mannered, and always prompt on the service. There's also another guy, but I can't remember his name at this moment. The food is pretty good for the prices. The skillets are bomb, those chorizo sausage are deliciously spicy. Hash browns are crispy, just how I like it. Pancakes, waffles, French toast, all delicious! Denny's has enough variety to keep me coming back. This will always be my go-to Denny's, and it's also the closest to my home. I've visited the one on Alicia, and the service was unfortunately nowhere close. Also, this location had a change of manager I believe a few months ago. She's not as good as the previous guy, but still very nice! Keep it up! read more

This is my favorite Denny's location! I was greeted right away, the manager Fernando is always so nice and helps out everywhere in the restaurant, he's just a pleasure. My waitress was nice and even cracked a joke that made me laugh, refilled my drink promptly and delivered my check at the end of the meal (I hate when places leave you sitting forever waiting for a check). I had a Chicken Philly Melt which looked good on the menu and even better when it was delivered hot and fresh on my table. It was delicious! I also like the "new" fries at Denny's they are kinda like steak fries with ridges, really good with some ranch. All around great dining experience and will definitely come back again, good job! read more

Norma was absolutely the best, I don't go to Denys very often, but she absolutely made my night. That girl deserves a raise! Or a promotion. She was the sweetest! The food was not that great, stale biscuits, and my friends food was burned, and it wasn't a very good meal. Which is expected from Denys. But Norma made it worthwhile. read more

Went to Dennys Saturday ( 13 Oct 2018) for breakfast. The service was great! I explained to our server Fernando my food allergies. He was very understanding and even suggested several items I could eat. My coffee cup was refilled without me having to request it. You would think that when you order from other restaurants they would do this automatically but they don't. He asked several times if everything was ok and if we needed anything else. When he brought our food he said that I had ordered the mashed potatos but did not request no gravy so he ordered it without gravy due to my allergies. That was a good catch and show his attention to the customers needs. I was impressed with Fernandos service over & above. read more

Today is the fourth time in two months that mom and I have enjoyed breakfast at this Denny's. The breakfast options are numerous! Portions are large and prices are very reasonable. We are always seated promptly and wait time to be served is short. But the most important reason we come back is Juan L!!!!! Juan lights up a room with his genuine kind smile! He makes us feel like family! We appreciate that he anticipates our needs such as rolling our walker to a safe area out of the way, bringing extra napkins before we ask, filling our coffees precisely when we need more! Dennys is your standard American breakfast fare, would have given four stars if not for 1 reason. That reason being if you order ice coffee instead of regular coffee they charge you 1 dollar for each refill, last time I checked a few ice cubes didn't cost anything. Bottom line is game the system, order a regular coffee that comes with bottomless refills and have them bring you a cup of ice. read more

It is what it is... I've been back here several times and it's the only 24/7 restaurant other than opting for Jack-in-the-Box. The food is not outstanding, it's something to hold you up till the next morning/lunch, depending if you're sleeping in the next day (Yes, it was a late nighter). The service is prompt, polite, and no waiting to ask for the check when you're done. Never been a fan of the pre-rolled tableware because of what happened late last night. Where they store the pre-rolled tableware (knife, fork, spoon, rolled up in a napkin with the self-sticking paper band) I have no idea, but when I got mine, an earwig (the garden bug your called a "pincher bug" as a kid) came strolling out of mine. Since I camp somewhat, it was a simple flick of the finger and I began chowing on my Moons of my Hammy! To the faint hearted, it might have been a late night drama session. Bad service here and most of all bad food. The couple on the next table complained of uncooked pancakes and then when I received my order, we got a burnt toast. Who is cooking here? A 2 year old?The waiter was also very dry and not engaged with his customers He just looks unhappy working there. Bad experience for first timers there. We are very lucky to have this particular Denny's in the neighborhood, they are not all the same. They do the wonderful job, the food is great, the service is wonderful and everything is very clean and inviting. We haven't ventured out much since the virus started but I told my husband the first thing I want to do when it is safe is go to Denny's for breakfast! read more

The manager Isidoro is terrible. I've been coming here for a while but just had one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life. I had ordered a grand slam which and it had mold on the bread crust. After our wonderful server apologized and took the sandwich back, the manager Isidoro denied that it was mold and claimed it was cilantro from pico de gallo sauce on the bread like we were idiots. They replaced the sandwich but the manager didn't own up to the fact that my bread had mold to it . Terrible, terrible terrible service! read more

Once in a while I stop by Sizzler on El Toro and have lunch. Their salads are always so fresh and crispy, their grilled chicken breast is so moist and delicious. My server Deana was very nice and accommodating and friendly and timely with everything. I'm looking forward to being back soon. read more

i have been going to this place since it opened. i dont like it that much but the location is very convenient. Recently me, my brother, and my mom ate there since we couldnt find any place to eat at. hungry and cranky we got our orders very soon but as soon as my brother took a bite of his wheat bread, there were MOLDS on it! we complained about it and the manager came by. he came and told us ' ....ive been here for a year and ive never seen that kind of problem' he sounded like we did something to the bread. that pissed me off. usually a manager would have taken it and exchanged the bread with a new one and took the order out of the tab. but instead he asked us if we wanted dessert for free or a discount. wth? what kind of a manager would do that. of course my mom refused. on the way out the manager asked us if 'everything was ok?' uhmmm r u serious? who in the right mind would ask that. whoever made him a manager is dumb enough for putting him in that position. btw the manager's name is ANGEL. i wouldve given them 1 star but since the servers are nice usually id give them 2. disgusted and would never come back to this location. read more

Stumbled in the other day. Had the worst steak ever as far as i remember. I don't even think it is the right cut of steak, it is either a bad cut or pork. Had a weird taste too. I used to go to another Dennys and had far better experience. Will not be back. read more

If you've ordered the Grand Slam over the years without looking at the menu; you know you get eggs, bacon or sausage, hash browns, and pancakes EXCEPT now "Grand Slam" is no longer "grand" because you do NOT get hash browns -- in fact, hash browns were not even mentioned by the waiter as an option or add-on. Obviously, to cut costs and increase revenue, Denny's has dropped hash browns.from the traditional Grand Slam, and instead created a new menu item called "Grand Slam Slugger" that, for an extra dollar, is what was once the traditional Grand Slam. Stupid me, I should have perused the menu and spotted the Denny-sleight-of-hand, but, as I have done for 30-years of periodic dining at Denny's nationwide, I simply ordered the Grand Slam little suspecting that the Grand Slam is not the Grand Slam of old. The simple solution to today's disappointment would have been a simple, "Would you care for hash browns?" from the waiter as I ordered. Yes, we go to Denny's. Good old American pancakes are not "crepes", like my daughter's acting teacher would call it --she is French. But the food is what you expect. Good service and a reasonably priced menu. I was anxious for the IHOP on Rockfield and Lake Forest (previously Panera Bread's location) to open since Denny's interior is dated. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I went to Denny's for breakfast today. They updated the interior by replacing the booths, installing wood looking floors, and painting the interior. I wasn't very impressed with my last visit. I should rate then a 1 but I'm giving them a 3 because the manager was nice and he even brought us fresh coffee while his family waited for him to be done with work. As far as the waiters go and I can't say the same thing. We went there to study and eat since is they're open 24hrs. Waiter only came about 1 time to check on us, the rest of the time we had to go and look for them. We asked them if we could move to another table and they said yes, 3 waiters were standing there doing absolutely nothing and no one offered to help us transferred the plates, cups or nothing, my friend and I had to do it. That left a very bad taste in my mouth. They were being so bad last night that even a guy had to scream from his table to get them to come and take his order. This is a new location. It used to be across the street on El Toro Rd. Denny's is Denny's food-wise pretty much so what's the big deal about this location? The people. The manager was very professional and polite; not in a smarmy way, but genuinely nice and attentive. The waiter was also very good. Looks great after the remodel! The first time I came in here was January of 2014 and oh man this place was a dump. It looked like a funeral home and all the employees look like they wanted to kill themselves. Fast foward to 2016 the place is looking great! I came back because I was looking for a quick bite and I could hardly recognize the place. The entire store was re done and looked cleaner and more vibrant. The employees were all glowing with joy compared to before. The food came out quick and was super delicious. read more

I gotta agree with the other reviews. Best Denny's I have ever been in. The menu is a little confusing (Did you want the Lite & Fit Skillet, the Lite & Fit Omelette, the Lite & Fit Slam, or the Lite & Fit Plate ?) but the food is great and the service is outstanding.
