My husband wanted breakfast with waffles tonight so we decided to try this Denny's out. This Denny's has been here Forever but I don't remember eating before. Surprisingly, the restaurant is very large in the inside and very clean. Food was good. My husband got his eggs, bacon, sausage and waffles. The waffles were good. Well worth a trip here. I did the salmon dinner with broccoli, red potatoes, and dinner bread. The dinner bread was actually two pieces of garlic bread. They did a good job with this garlic bread. It had a nice perfect chew and you can tell it's not made from old bread. The salmon was a bit fishy but not too bad. Service was good.

Denny's pancakes & coffee = top of the line. Wow this place is crowded on a Thursday afternoon! Do people not work?? (as I also sit there in awe). Our server was good, fast and checked on us throughout the visit. I saw a sign on the window about mimosas WOO HOO! Thank you Denny's. So I knew there had to be some type of value bfast but didn't see on menu, so when I asked our server, sure enough there is but its not advertised! $7 for two pancakes, eggs and meat. Great deal . They didn't have the big plate that comes with free coffee anymore. Bummer since coffee is $4! Food came out quickly and was hot & fresh and good as always. They are also on the Lake Forest BOGO gift card program so that's a nice plus. The restaurant was busy but clean, bright, and the employees were very helpful.

In celebration of the World Series Grand Slam, Denny's is currently offering its existing Rewards Members a FREE Original Grand Slam coupon in their account!! It's been years since I've eaten at a Denny's so this was a great stop at an old familiar place!! My Original Grand Slam includes 2 pancakes, cheesy eggs, 4 bacon slices, and an extra order of seasoned red potatoes. I placed an online order and went to pick it up 20 minutes later. It was also a curbside order so I had to call and let them know I was there. The gentleman who picked up the phone (I didn't see his name tag unfortunately) was quick! As soon as we hung up, he came walking out of the door with bag in hand and smile on face! He handed me my order and kindly thanked me for stopping by!! Thank you!! Overall, I'd give the meal a 3.5/5. I really enjoyed the seasoned red potatoes mixed with the bacon and cheesy eggs and the taste of tomato ketchup added a nice tasty balance. I don't know why, but the pancakes, however, had a weird "plasticy" taste to them. I'm not sure if something was thrown in the pancake batter, but it just didn't taste right to me. But other than that, I enjoyed the FREE gifted meal from Denny's and I'm thankful they shared it with its Rewards Members like myself! Thank you!!

The Hot Cocoa and the tea tasted good but there was hair or mustache on my plate and my son's egg doesn't taste good except for the country friend steak and hash brown and it also almost poisoned my son because his belly hurts! Don't visit this location! 1 STAR!!!

The entrance is welcoming! The seating is the traditional diner ambiance. I was in search of a 24 hour diner to spend time with my new found friends after hanging out at an event at the local bowling alley. We found this Denny's. The service was quick at the beginning but that changed. Our server, George, asked us what we wanted to eat. We gave him our selections. I requested ranch on the side with my hamburger, but it was never brought to me. I even asked for the ranch more than one time. I also ordered onion rings, which were an extra charge. The onion rings were over cooked and I only had six on my plate next to my hamburger. One of my friend's meal was just as she ordered, but the other friend's meal was not. She returned the hamburger without bacon because it was supposed to be chicken. I know that chicken takes longer than beef to cook but 40 minutes longer!?!? My point is that our server was slow and often left our table shaking his head and bumping the wall upon our food request, which for me seemed nothing out of the ordinary. Our server's reaction was not normal when we requested our food and the sides. I always leave a hefty tip when the server is kind and delivers the food as ordered. Darn, this time was a horrible experience for me. After paying at the counter, I left feeling sad about our dinning experience. I will be avoiding this diner. Too bad!

Everytime i come to this Denny's the waiters here are so rude and impatient. When i usually come here I have this waiter named Juan. Today my friend was decided what to get and he said "are u gonna hurry because i am busy" meanwhile the restaurant is mostly empty. I asked if i could get a side of hash browns and he goes "unless ur going to pay for it" the way the waiter treats us is despicable and unacceptable. read more

This restaurant employs adults to waiter the tables so the service is friendly and prompt with no teenager attitude. We have eaten here several times and enjoyed great service. My wife loves the Fit Fare omelet and generally orders it anytime of day. I go for the senior omelet which is always served hot and fast. read more

I was in the neighborhood and decided to stop into this Denny's location for a little something to quench my hunger. Albeit it was Valentine's Day, and a Sunday, I have absolutely no complaints. We got there just in time to beat the rush, and only had to wait 5 or so minutes for a booth. The waiter we had was cheery and helpful. I didn't wait long for my food, or any extras that I had asked for. Not too shabby! read more

I had to vacate the house to allow Molly Maid do their magic on a morning I was home from work. The $2 $4 $6 $8 breakfast commercials had brainwashed me enough I drove to a Denny's and I wasn't on vacation in the mid-west. Trying to avoid too much fat and cholesterol I couldn't order the cheap specials. I ordered the $5.99 build-your-own Grand Slam with 2 egg whites scrambled, 2 wheat pancakes, yogurt (add $.49) and fresh fruit salad of strawberries, seedless grapes, and cantaloupe (add $.49) and a glass of orange juice. The OJ was a surprise, as the waitress brought out a gigantic glass of OJ which cost me $3.99!!! So much for the breakfast deal. My bill came up to $10.39. So much for saving money and at the same time saving your arteries. It was a good breakfast, but not inexpensive to say the least. read more

I've never liked Denny's. Ok, I said it. Just not a fan of sticky menus and pleather seats. But, just want to drop a word about this "particular" Denny's. This place should be studied by the other Denny's. We started going there for breakfast. The service is WAY beyond what I expected, and VERY decent food. So, thought it was a quirk. Went back 3 times and every visit they knock it out of the ballpark. Can't rate the lunches or dinners because I've not had them (reason for 4 stars not 5), but darn fine breakfast! read more

I got a coupon the other day for a buy one get one free dinner so how could I resist? I had not been to Denny's in years and I have to admit the food was a lot better than I remembered. The menu had tons of items to choose from, the service was great, and the place was - well it's Denny's. So if you are looking for good value and decent food this is the place to go. read more

WORST DENNYS EVER! Service was terrible, the waiter kept cutting me off every time I tried to explain what I wanted, and then when he brought me the wrong drink gave me a schmuck look, because I made him give me what I order. Just had breakfast at dennys and I was happy that they where open on a holiday! The staff was super nice and our waitress had a huge smile on her face. The only reason im not giving this place 5 stars was because the hash brown was a little over cooked. But everything else was really good. In the past, Denny's has not been one of my favorites, BUT, my opinion has changed. We moved to Lake Forest and began going to the Denny's on El Toro Road. The staff is very customer service friendly and upbeat. Their breakfast menu is excellent and the recent addition of the pancakes (recent to me-not sure when they did add them), just hits the spot. We mainly eat from their breakfast menu (any meal), but last night we ventured onto the dinner menu. The Tilapia was very good. The mashed potatoes with cheese (excellent). I ordered a side of broccoli which was good. Good job Denny's! read more

I had a great night with my friends the night before my birthday. My friend told me that I can get a free grand slam for my birthday at Denny's, I was interested so I came in this morning. Got a table and when the waiter approached me I asked him about the freebie and he said that they indeed give free grand slam to a birthday person. I took out my ID and he said to show it at the cashier. After eating my breakfast, I went to the counter. I pulled a $50 bill, I was thinking that it was very nice of them to do that, bring in a nice mood I think $50 would be a generous tip. I showed the cashier about the free grand slam for a birthday person on my phone. She said she doesn't know about it. I told her that's what the ad says. She probably didn't hear me and just told me the total of my breakfast. I put back the $50 on my wallet that I'm supposed to give as a tip for free grandslam and just used my card and gave a tip of 10% which was $1.87. Do you think it was a dickmove from me? Anyway, I saved nearly $40. read more

This our fist time at this Dennys, I must say please sit in Juans section. He asked if we need anything so many timed I felt like a princess. He was polite and broke down certain things of the menu. Since it was the only restaurant open Christmas day, we had no other choice for breakfast... And boy was I pleasantly surprised! I ordered off of the healthy menu and got whole wheat banana nut pancakes and they were really yummy. Since we ordered to go, i cant say much about the atmosphere. read more

I come here alot. The foods good and the price is good to me. I'm drinking their tropical smoothie right now and I love it! All there smoothies are really good actually. I also ordered their country fried steak and eggs, substituted the bread for bisquits and gravy........ yes I'm starving right now! I visited on 8/8/16, with my family. The table they gave us was under the a/c vent and my kids were cold. The manager had the kindness of turn off the a/c. The food was delicious, everything clean and neat. I will still coming to this location everything is good. read more

This Denny's is a favorite of ours, we typically visit at least once a week. The food is excellent - fresh and hot. - and the service is even better. We have visited many Denny's and we always end up comparing them to this one and no other has quite made the cut. Humberto and Miguel are the best and always offer a greeting and a smile. I can tell they have many regular customers because they seem to know everyone that comes in. I highly recommend this restaurant!!! read more

I got a BYOGS. It was good. Got a ice coffee, which tasted great. The second one they gave me tasted like coffee with no sweetener in it. Other than that, it was a basic grandslam experience. The waiter was a little sketchy acting, but whatever. read more

I have been coming here for several years. The food is as expected. I've had some really good servers, and I've had some just ok servers. The manager is really nice. She is part of the reason we come here even though another location is closer to our home. This has become an Easter tradition with our family, because they have an Easter bunny that pass out candy. The eggs were perfectly airy and creamy without being runny. The flavor was simple but spot on and the avocado paired really well with it. Nothing felt off or overdone. We also tried a few other dishes at the table. The chilaquiles were fantastic. The tortilla chips had a great crunch and were not soggy at all. Even though they looked heavily sauced in pictures the ratio was actually perfect. Enough salsa for flavor while still keeping the chips crispy. The salsa itself was very good and the egg on top was perfectly runny and yolky which was a big plus. The version with added cheese was also great. Service really stood out. One of our friends asked for no cheese on their chilaquiles and it accidentally came out with cheese. The staff handled it so kindly. They took it back immediately and as an apology one of the owners or cooks came out personally and brought us complimentary pancakes. That small gesture really showed how much they care. The owners were incredibly sweet and kept checking in asking if everything was good and sharing how much care and time they put into making everything homemade. You could genuinely feel that passion. Huge props to Forest Cafe. I would absolutely recommend it. A great little brunch and breakfast spot and definitely a place we will be coming back to.

One could probably eat it by the spoonful! Such a complex flavor complement to the matcha latte. The matcha latte (4/5) felt fairly strong (I estimate 4g at least), and the mango puree tasted real/ fresh but was nothing special. However, I did like that it was not too sweet. Caveat: I am partial to mango/coconut milk or mango sticky rice matcha lattes. The goma matcha was worth the $8 pricetag. Tip: Matcha Mondays=10% off matcha drinks! The mango one maybe was worth it due to the amount of matcha, but I do feel like I could make it at home. The milk bread ($5.50) was soft, with a delightful bursting sweet cream filling topped with those shite pearly crunchies-- unique and delicious. I also loved the kinako an pan (sweet bread with red bean filling, $5.50) because of the nostalgic flavors, but also because the azuki bean had a nice crunchy sugar quality. The matcha was good with a very strong matcha flavor and the original had a slight lemon flavor. I enjoyed all the food and sweets here, but a bit disappointed with their drink portion.

My mom had ordered their fresh blueberry muffins and she enjoyed it along with her coffee. I didn't try the muffin this time because I wanted something savory. Next time for sure because it looks delicious. I had ordered the #1 on the menu choice of meat with eggs (any style). I ordered my plate with bacon, eggs over medium, with hash browns styled "Those Hash-browns" which has onions and bell peppers. (Not to be confused with house potatoes fyi). I also had it with a side of toasted sourdough. It had hit the spot for a breakfast plate and the price was very reasonable compared to other breakfast spots. The portions I feel were perfect. I took leftovers home (hash browns wise). I can't wait to come back with more family and friends and be able to just indulge in the yummy items of their menu. 11/10 for me. The portion size is more than generous, I didn't even realize the hash brown potatoes the menu mentioned it came with were on the side and not just in the burrito The inside of the burrito is completely filled with egg. In terms of taste, it wasn't one of the best breakfast burritos I've had, but it's still good and very filling.

The prices were comparable to other bagel chains. There are a few tables outside if you'd like to sit and eat, but most customers seemed to be grabbing their orders to go. Parking was easy since it's located in the same plaza as Home Depot. Service was quick and efficient, even though it was pretty busy on a Saturday morning. I'd definitely stop by again when picking up bagels for a group gathering.

It has a nice ambience and the service was excellent, the staff were friendly and attentive. I haven't had a calzone in years and for some reason decided to have one here at De Lucia's and boy was I pleased with my decision. The crust was just the right amount of crispy, the cheese was nice and stringy and the meat sauce was the topping on the cake. I have to also shoutout their delicious Cesar salad and complimentary bread. Everything was excellent and will have to stop by here again the next time I'm getting my car serviced.

Both dishes were delicious. The curry was rich and flavorful, and the beef was stewed beautifully until tender. The roti was a little on the greasy side, but still enjoyable. The pad see ew was especially good and very satisfying. One thing to note: even the mild spice level had a noticeable kick in both dishes, so keep that in mind if you are sensitive to spice. Overall, a really solid Thai spot that I would happily return to.

While I was studying a few weeks ago I had a an attack of the munchies! This wasn't any normal munchies I wanted something hearty. Good thing Denny's never closes! What I ate on that super late night was half of the sampler appetizer and the slam burger with regular fries. Talking about carbs on carbs on carbs! lol The sampler contained chicken tenders, cheese sticks, onion rings and all deep fried of course. It was all good, everything came out GBD (golden brown and delicious). The slam burger was OK. The bun was pretty dried. Would it hurt them to slather on some butter and let get nice n crispy on the flat top? The burger patty was whatever, a bit on the dry side too. What made me want to order this burger was the hashbrowns and fried egg that was in the burger. I love a perfectly cooked sunny side up egg in my burgers. The rich yolk brings another level of texture and flavor to any burger. The egg was fried right and the hashbrown was crispy, just the way I like it. Each bite of the burger had this rich, crunchy, meaty taste to it. That is pretty good for Denny's, usually at places like this they always serve you one dimensional flavor food. You know what you always know what your going to get when you go to Denny's. Tonight my kids went out with their grandfather and it was just me and my wife for dinner and we were trying to decide where to go and some place affordable, we batted around a few places and then we were like you know what Dennys. Great price, the food is okay also, plus I like breakfast for dinner. So, we went there, always great service, they are fast the waiters are nice and I got good food!!!! best of all we had a coupon and paid for the first entree and the second one was only $0.99. Denny's may not be the place for 3 courses dinner, but for me it is the place when I need good food, and a lot from it, and for reasonable price. They have everything on their menu, which is not something that can be easily achieved. If you think about it, to make almost any type of food, and to make it right, is something that deserve a real appreciation. The service is made by peo9ple who saw a thing or two in servicing food to people. And I could see that they really want you to have the best possible experience. One of your workers freaking sexually harassed my cousin while she was asking to use the restroom. She turned around and saw him crouching down next to her trying to film her underskirt. She didn't want to fight back due to the fact that she's not from this country. She then ran to the restroom. I wanted to call the cops and run back inside to beat the guy up, but she insisted on letting this go. I was waiting for her in the car. I really wish I took a picture of my food that I ordered to go. I come here almost every weekend. This weekend I came here to order some food to go and the service was actually good. But once I got my order I saw it and it was a small portions of food. I got a side of fries for my sister and the container/box wasn't filled up neither was the Mac and cheese. I haven't been here in years. We hit this place at 11pm after a session at the casino in San Diego. I had the Cal club sandwich and milk shake. I would get it again but ask for the fries extra well done animal style, oh wait that's another place :) It was a nice change of pace from there though. This place has really good breakfast omelettes and pancakes. I ordered on the phone for pick up and it honestly got ready pretty fast. The pancake plates have pancakes or ur choice of flavor, hash browns, eggs, and bacon or sausage. Their Banana Nut pancake is really good and the steak omelette is pretty amazing too.
