I seriously don't like going to this location anymore for a few different reasons. First of all when you order something and you tell the server that you want the deal that is on the outside window ,how difficult is that to understand?. The guy servings this wasn't too good. The restroom was busy and he seemed flustered and stressed out. I had to keep calling him for a refill of coffee not only that I waited for about 45 minutes to get my food which was very basic. I was in Denny's a couple weeks ago and ordered the same thing at a different location and the food came out almost immediately and the restaurant was busy there also. Anyhow, the thing that pissed me off most was when I got to the front to pay and the bill ended up being five dollars more than what it should've been. The server got the order completely wrong apparently. It was really busy at the front people were trying to be seated. There were people trying to pay. A different server was holding a plate of food while ringing me up and I just really couldn't be bothered to complain about the charge. Thinking back the last couple of times I've been in there. My eggs came out cold and to be honest with you all the other Denny I've been to never have this problem. I probably won't be going back again and it's a shame because I eat breakfast out every morning .Sorry but this Dennys kind of sucks. read more

So this is early AM a time when sit down options are nonexistent. It is the standard Denny's menu I opted for the everyday value slam. Staff was doing multiple jobs, so service was a bit slow. My order was for eggs poached French toast and sausage. I was informed no poached eggs. This was clarified later to it would take 30 minutes and the cook did not like doing it. I was offered scrambled shell eggs. My order took over 20-30min when it arrived the eggs were scrambled hard . The sausage was cool , hard and dry . The French toast was the best item . Coffee was good and the server checked to make sure it was not running low. The location does not inspire confidence. The sign has faded out and ripped on the south facing side the décor pack is older with drum lights and pendants above some booths. Bathrooms are reasonably clean. Parking is in a rear lot. I will undoubtedly wind up here again . I appreciate the server . I will reconsider my order choices. read more

I would say that this Denny's Diner gives off a long-standing local tradition vibe that is perpendicular to the feeling-tone of Long Beach. I've come here enough times to say that I would come back with friends and family simply because it is available and comforting in its own right. The service overall is good, whether dining in or to-go, but it definitely depends on who takes your order. Typically, when I stop by with a person in tow, I've found that the food is always hot and fresh. The caffeinated coffee, which I believe is Arabic or Turkish inspired, is actually very good! It is smooth, bold, and delicious, especially when you add the right amount of sweetness. I enjoy coming here and look forward to continuing to do so in the near future. The only suggestion I have is to please have the bathroom code readily available for customers, as it is not a lovely experience to have to wait an extended period of time. Lastly, on one occasion, I experienced a server who took my order to go. Although it was not made incredibly obvious and was perhaps quite covert, she took my order and then proceeded to blatantly make a "fake" error out of envy and jealousy, which made me immediately regret tipping her. It was a negative thing to do, but as stated, as long as you are aware of what server you get, the majority of them seem to keep a neutral tone about them. read more

The hash browns with cheese had potential but fell short; the cheese wasn't fully melted, and they lacked seasoning. Overall, it was a decent meal, but a few tweaks could have made it great. I came in around 4am and was greeted so warm and friendly by Alexis. She was hustling the front of the house, but not in a stressed way. She really had things running smoothly, and was able to keep things humming as well as kindly telling people that she had to close a section. A smile on her face the whole time. In the few times I've been here the service and food has been great. But I am so tired of being screwed over by restaurants lately. Especially when it comes to what they advertise vs what they are serving you. I get that it's not going to look exactly like the photo on the advertisement but prices keep going up and they somehow think it's okay to advertise one thing and give you another basically scamming you of your hard earned money. Absolutely not. We ordered the Super Bird sandwich this past Thursday 11/28 for lunch (2pm) via Grub Hub (w/no changes or substitutions on the sandwich). After I placed the order I called and asked if they could add on a ranch because you're not able to do that when ordering online and the gentleman that answered the phone handled it no problem. We got the order in a timely manner as promised, with the ranch. But as I was eating the sandwich I remembered how it looked in the pic and that's when I realized how bad what we got was in comparison. The sandwich advertised was definitely worth the almost $14, the sandwich delivered to us was barely with $10. They really made this and said "oh, who cares.. they won't notice". I noticed. OUR SERVER Abraham, who seated us, served us, and occasionally would come by to ask us how we were doing, WATCHED OUR DATES GET INTO THE CAR AND LEAVE while they were in the "bathroom". while our dates were in the "bathroom" Abraham came to me and my friend and asked us to leave him a good review. minutes later he comes back with the check, and says NOTHING about our dates. my friend and i were getting suspicious to our dates being in the bathroom for so long, and as im looking out the window to see if our dates car was still there, IS WHEN ABRAHAM DECIDES TO TELL ME OUR DATES LEFT!
