My first time at this Denny's, a bunch of us went for Father's Day. They highly recommended it. Tried the sirloin steak, medium rare. It did arrive as ordered, I asked for the rice as a side and mashed. I've eaten a lot of varieties of rice, but this was a weird one. I'm not sure what the little black pearl like things were. But I lived to tell this story. The wait staff is personable enough. The restaurant is pretty large with a few separate dining rooms. It was Easter Sunday around 9:30 AM. The diner that I wanted to go to in Newburgh was long gone. Not too much else is open on Easter Sunday so I decided to try Denny's for breakfast. It was clean inside the restaurant the carpet looked good, and all the tables were nicely cleaned. The waitress is very friendly, I decided to order the grand slam breakfast for $7.99. She asked right away if I wanted coffee. I said yes. Appeared if you looked at the menu quickly that coffee was included with the breakfast out came two pancakes eggs with cheddar cheese, two small sausages, two strips of bacon. But no potatoes or hashbrowns, suppose they've never come with the grandstand breakfast The coffee was so so. The pancakes tasted good. They were kind of dense and heavy. The eggs were OK. Seemed like they came out of a mix rather than fresh eggs. The sausage was lukewarm and kind of bland, frozen for sure the bacon was OK but also Luke warm , unfortunately the coffee was $3.69 half of the price of the breakfast. The waitress was friendly so that's what I'm giving the two stars for. As well as the cleanliness of the restaurant but the food was definitely substandard. Used to be decent for breakfast. I'd give the breakfast to rating of 3out of 10. I can get a much better breakfast at for example. The main street bistro in. New Paltz. Two eggs, toast and potatoes $2.99 or a diner in Kingston the Dietz stadium diner to eggs, toast, potatoes, bacon, hammer sausage along with juice and coffee. $10. We had the 9.99 breakfast slams, they were great and great value! Food was fresh and warm, cooked exactly as we ordered. Our server, Anna, was a gem! So friendly and attentive. She was one of the best servers we have had in years even comparing to some very upscale restaurants. Treasure her, she's wonderful! read more

I gave this location one star because I couldn't give zero! I went to this location on a warm Saturday around noon and the first thing I noticed was the parking lot was unusually empty. I went inside with one of my bike friends and we decided on the buy one get one for $1 slam. We asked our waitress if we could substitute the pork products for turkey products (as we usually do at other locations). She replied that she needed to check with her manager, who said that is wasn't possible due to a "turkey bacon shortage." We then asked shouldn't we at least be given the option of an up charge? To which she replied "you can just order a create your own slam, I mean you're getting this for $1" I then told her I didn't make the price or the special, Denny's did, I thanked her for her service and left. Traveling to help our friends move. We came in @ 5:43 and it's now 6:22 and no food. I just ordered a cheese omelette. Waitress is no where to be found! My GF drank the tiny cup of coffee and it sits there empty. Staff members are salty. Could've been from a long night but whatever. Ambience is to be expected. Came here all the time when I was younger. Gave two tries in the last 6 months, never again. Long hairs in 3 out of 4 meals (1 visit - 3 out of 4 people) Hair in second visit (2 out of 6 people) So much dust, grime and build up on the walls and ceiling it was falling into our food from above. You can look up and literally see where it starts about 3 feet from the ceiling on the wall. Thick fluffy disgustingness. Garbage everywhere on the floors + dirt/grease build up you felt it underneath your shoes. Buckets of dirty dishes sitting out on tables across the restaurant - flies all around. Don't even think about looking underneath the booths. Food was served on plates that weren't washed - had food smudges / caked on different then the order. No silverware was clean - were given plastic wrapped utensils. Only thing that was actually clean because they were wrapped. Should be reported to health department immediately. read more

Decided on thanksgiving being only 3 of us we would eat out instead of the mess of cooking at home. We would normally order a meal from Boston market but they all closed in area. After finding Alexis diner and Perkins closed we went to dennys and order a nice turkey dinner for three of us. Service was good not crowded and food was plentiful and good. Waitress was good and service was fast. Normally try to stay away from the normal type of food dennys has due to diabetes but this was good. If you're looking for a place to enjoy breakfast I would avoid this place. They state they open at 6am. This is false. They open when they feel like opening. Employees are sitting in their cars in the parking lot waiting for management to open the door. When the door is open nothing is ready to be served. Salt shakers were all clogged up, so it appears they never clean anything properly. Crumbs from the previous day are on the seats or the table. A total waste of time. Decent Denny's. Denny's is often a go to for me for breakfast - though since there are no locations near me, it's usually when I'm on vacation or if I'm driving near one. It was very crowded at the time we went, but the wait time wasn't all that bad - like maybe 10 minutes. Not sure how they bus tables, but while there were people waiting there was a few booths just there waiting to be bused/cleaned. Staff was friendly, though it took a while before anyone came to us and asked us for our orders. Again, I get that it was busy. I ordered my usual Lumberjack Slam breakfast. It was almost typical, but honestly I've had better at other locations. Usually they send butter out and let the customer spread their own, but here the butter was already on the pancakes. I can't comment on anything other than breakfast at Denny's, but their breakfast options are generally good, tasty, and reasonably priced. They're probably a step up from the average diner, but when it comes to their breakfast, they can do no wrong. If in the area again, I would return. read more

I loved the very helpful, attentive and cheerful server we had- her name is Rose. Enjoyed the music playing on a Sunday morning. Food came fast and exactly as ordered. The serving was a lot for one person. I wish there was a down sized version I hate waste. I had the omelette with sausage and bacon and a large helping of hash brown so I skipped the toast. My hubby got the Fit Slam with gluten free English muffin and white egg scramble with spinach and tomatoes. He said it was delicious and light. Coffee was hot and just right not too weak and not too strong. Something about the ambiance held me from giving it 5 stars - could also be the pesky fly that got in. went here for dinner after shopping 6/13/19. I used to go here often as a child and they don't disappoint. I greet warmly by the waitress and sit to a table quickly, it was taking me some time to decided where to order breakfast or dinner. she was patient and did not rush me to make a order. so I ordered the Grand slam wich with hash browns and a crazy spicy sizing skillet to go. my order was quickly made and got to say the bread was toasted perfectly and not overly buttered to make it a mess. the meats in the slam which were all moist and freshly cooked, not dried out or old and the cheese was melted entirely though out. the hash browns were okay, wish they were more crispy. all in all, very polite and professional here, just like it was in my childhood. :) read more

The foods gross, lazily made, the service isn't great. Me and my bf ordered take out (I haven't been there in like a year or even ordered from) and I did it online, they had my food wrong. They put cheese in my egg even though I made a note that said "NO MILK OR BUTTER OR DAIRY". I didn't even see what I ordered even said it had cheese. So we went back in and they made it again. The food was poorly packed, and not until after I ate it I realized I didn't even order the eggs scrambled. My fault for not noticing but their fault about that too. This was the worst dine-in experiences EVER! For starters, I damn near had to seat myself. There were plenty of waitresses walking around but no one seemed to notice me standing at the hostess both. After being seated I ordered a apple juice. The juice order was fast but after 15 mins of waiting for my waitress to take my food order, I got up and found someone to take my order. She asked "has anyone been here to take your order?" I responded "yes, don't you see the juice on the table". My "waitress" clearly forgot about me. Food is always good and staff is always friendly and attentive. Their Hot Chocolate and Iced Tea are really good. Of course, Denny's prices are always easy on the wallet and being able to use the $5 off coupons on the back of my Shoprite receipts (North Plank Road location) helps as well when I bring the family. Also, you can FREE Grand Slam breakfast on your birthday if you bring your ID. There were no issues when I brought my wife for her birthday breakfast and I will be looking to get mine's next month. read more

This place has gone downhill a bit. Utensils and plate were dirty. Turkey bacon was cold. Milk had been frozen and had slush in it. Hash browns were undercooked.
