Every time I came here, only 2 people working outside. I can tell that it's overwhelming for them but they are still treating their customers well. A little slow but all smile. A big reason to keep coming back. I wish they wear a name tagged so, I can give them credit for being so lovely despite the chaos. It was Sunday night around 9pm. Dennys good/service/location/and ambiance is conducive to this area right off the ramp in Newbury Park. Rosemary greeted us with a warm, friendly smile. She is a beautiful soul and always has an awesome attitude even at 0633 am here at the Newbury Park, CA location. We have also had the pleasure of her serving us at our hometown location in Camarillo, CA. Rosemary often tackles the restaurant single handily and running everything smoothly with all the patrons!! Food was amazing. I get the feeling the staff which included Lisa (my server), the Hispanic "greeter/busboy" man that was busy in his hump the whole time, and especially the cooks love their job and are damn good at it too. My food was cooked so good. I wish I would have been in the mood to eat something "more" tonight because I feel I could have asked for anything and they would impress. The building is clean and well maintained. I sat at the counter since I was by myself, so I had a very good view of kitchen area, floor behind counter and all the shelves and equipment. I'll be honest, I looked pretty damn hard in the kitchen and behind the counter to try and find a mess out of usual or that had clearly been there for some time and I just couldn't. The bathroom you could tell takes a beating, not that it's terrible by any means, but you could just tell if gets beat up to the point where it is a constant maintenance choke point. But again, it's NOT bad I don't know if Dennys corporate will look at this or not but if they do, I believe the best staff y'all have in your company was right at this location at the time of this post. read more

Service was great (thank you, Elena!). Food is great. Price is completely reasonable. I even love the oldies music they play (that you can't really find on regular radio). For breakfast I recommend the loaded veggie omelette with a ton of roasted veg and swiss cheese. Granted, you're going to have to wait longer when it's busy, but most folks who dine out a lot are in tune to this. My friend and I came into this Denny's for breakfast. Nery greeted us quickly and sat us right away. Debra our server was very friendly and welcoming. And recommended many options on the menu. This place isn't too bad. Eggs are eggs!! Hash browns are like everyone else's hash browns. The service is good. Very helpful staff. Somehow, Yelp regarded this place as closed. It certainly wasn't today. A nice review is deserved. This restaurant is light and airy inside, although a bit cold these days. One can look past the 101 freeway to the mountains to the south. Not a bad view. The food is quite good and reasonably priced, compared to the competition. I needed to make it relatively quick today. Lisa C was my waitperson. She is friendly and attentive and made it happen so that I timely made my appointment (with a full belly). Love this location! We are always welcomed warmly when I come here with my family. We no longer have Denny's in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It has been about seven years since I had eaten at Denny's and believe it or not I can't of miss it. So one of my first request when I came back to California to visit my girlfriend, I wanted to have breakfast at a Denny's. I absolutely miss their breakfasts. I had the grand slamwich which I don't think I ever saw before and it was pretty good. The service was great. The waitress was on top of things, especially when it comes to refilling my ice tea. Folks, it's Denny's, if you desire a Michelin 5 star restaurant, go elsewhere, but I have been going here for 30 years and I totally agree with Melissa L. There may be a closer Denny's but this one is worth the drive! I always feel comfortable here, the food is good, it always clean, the atmosphere is good, but the service is ALWAYS stellar and their best quality. I visited NP and was at the LaQuinta and was in the mood for pancakes. I remembered that there was a IHOP from when I lived here but it was closed. But then remembered the Denney's on Wendy. I was glad that I did because it was late and great. All we wanted was pancakes late at night and they were excellent. Service was also great. Wow! This Denny's just remolded and it is very clean and modern. Greeting by Manager (Golak), and seating by Lisa was quick and courteous... Water and silverware came from busboy while we were viewing menus. Cheese burger, fries were hot and delicious! I didn't think of Denny's as a burger place, it was really good.
