She had six tables besides us. And I was taken by how much she had to handle. Not only did she wait on tables, she also cashed out customers, bussed tables etc. all with a smile on her face and an awesome attitude! I love the Denny's in Ripon. It is so customer friendly and the food is fantastic and if it's not up to you par for you they will send it right back and give you a brand new one with it minutes. So I've never had to do that my girlfriend that eats breakfast with me there had. I have been going to Denny's for 50 years this is the best Denny's I've come across. Actually, when I was going to college this was my first job. So I've always been partial to Denny's but there was a time where I wouldn't eat there because of food just wasn't up to par. And did not have to wait long until are waitress came and took are order. I wish I got her name because she was very good at her job. She was friendly & attentive. She made sure we were good and helped me when I couldn't decide what to get . So we did not have to wait long for our food. I ordered a senior omelette because I was not that hungry. A senior omelette was made with 2 eggs & had bacon , tomato, onion ,& cheese. Came with toast & hash browns. My youngest had a cheeseburger & seasoned fries. My oldest had a grand slam & we split biscuits & gravy. Food came out and was nice and hot . And portions were big . We could not finish are food. My daughters fries were perfectly seasoned & crisp. She could only eat half of her cheeseburger because it was so big. My oldest loved her sausage and eggs. We all enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. My omelette was just ok . I seriously think you need to be an old person to get good service here. We are constantly ignored. Hair in the food, tastes like microwaved lunch meat. Wait time to get anything is horrendous, we order drinks and don't get them until 10 minutes later, and then we see the host we ordered them from running someone else's drinks who ordered after us. AND, appetizers come out WITH the main meal, instead of beforehand. At a previous visit, we were the only ones in the restaurant and saw our appetizer on the counter and it sat for 30 minutes before our "server" brought it to us. Not even sure who our server was. It's basically the same as any other Denny's around...although it's been years since I've been to one so I gave them 4 stars as majority all of the staff were wearing Forty-Niner jerseys or shirts, except ONE Raider fan. Lol The menu has been extended from the last time I remember, but we just got a few things to share and the portions were big enough for the three of us. The General Manager does not allow the Assistant Managers replace food if it's burnt. We have to pay for it. I wasn't trying to get my money back, I just wanted to get something else. Priscilla said all Denny's are different and some don't allow promos and I understand that, but if the food is burnt IN ANY RESTAURANT as a courtesy we should be able to get it replaced. Priscilla said there have been a lot of customers complain about this meal, so if there have been a lot of complaints, why don't the servers let customers know ahead of time to prevent unsatisfied customers? We got there at 11pm and the young man who waited on us told us they had a new cook and there was going to be a wait, that was extremely appreciated. The General Manager should allow their assistant managers replace a meal if a customer is unsatisfied with a meal. The assistant manager did give a 15% off coupon, because the General Manager doesn't give her access to remove or replace a meal. read more
