The place is closed. . .gone. . just the empty shell stands on the site as a sad marker to a once great restaurant chain. Available information indicates that significant portions of the business, ie late night crowds of adults, have not returned to the business since the COVID Pandemic. Good Job federal government. . You killed off several restaurants in a faux attempt to "flatten the curve." You failed. I note some of the previous reports indicate the business had gone down hill. . I hate to hear that, as Denny's used to be a good place to go in the evenings or late night. Apparently, not any more. Today, the business has all the ambiance of a Ghost town. . or at least an abandonded business location. Sounds like the restaurant didn't do themselves any favors. And sadly the iHop location at 15th and Air Depot had also had some serious reductions in food quality and customer satisfaction. This stuff is getting old. read more

My buddy and I meet for breakfast every Wednesday and Thursday. We meet at different places, and last week we chose this Denny's location as our place to meet. We pulled up to the location and noticed the "open" sign was on at this 24/7 location. AS WE WALKED UP to the door, an employee (male) turned off the sign and locked the door... we ate at iHop to ensure their main competitor received our money, we also tipped extra because they didn't lock the door in our face. Waited an hour for our food. There was 2 of us. Had a slam and a burger. Ordered burger no pickles. It came with pickles. Even though we waited a long time, the burger was AMAZING! We came in this morning with my daughter and grandkids. Our server was Angie. She's kinda always a bully there always trying to take all the customers to her area. Our food was good and she did keep us filled with coffee. After we ate my daughter proceeded to go pay our ticket with who I think was the manger. We got the kids gathered and headed to the car. As we were driving off Angie came running outside with our ticket. We stopped and she says "do you not plan to pay"? It caught us off guard and we told her we already paid. I didn't even think to go back in and question the manager. It was very embarrassing. As we left we were all bothered by the fact that she thought we were thieves. Free Veterans Day meal, breakfast, is offered here! Today, this location offers a Build Your Own Grand Slam on the table sign, which means 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2 eggs, and 2 pancakes... no substitutions or changes. Normally, the staff here is very Friendly and efficient, as they provide a pleasant dining experience. Today they seem hurried and a little stressed at handling the sizable crowd giving me the opportunity to practice patience, which we were rewarded with great meals. Their regular menus provide a lot of options at reasonable prices and I like how timing does not dictate which meal is enjoyed, as, sometimes I may want breakfast for dinner. Please, remember to choose these generous restaurants; support these owners, managers, and staff throughout the year as they graciously honor our brave military service members on Veterans Day. I appreciate all our heroes who have sacrificed to serve and those who support them, giving thanks to our military and this great country. As it's my father & husband who served I gladly pay my way and tip well (as for the normal cost of our meals and more, since wait staff usually have their hands extra full). Sooooo, I would love for this to be better, but here it is. Upon entering, no greeting or friendly faces. Staff is very un attentive. We made our order ( my wife and I) and the waitress turned it in, just to hear from the cooks that they don't have the correct items to prepare the meal I had ordered. Mind you my wife's has now been turned in and they are currently working on preparing. I had a backup plan, I presented my new order to the waitstaff and they turned it in. What I received and what I ordered were similar only in color. The brisket was mostly burnt fat, the noodles were from a box and never in the oven like the meal is supposed to be prepared and lastly the onion rings were dripping grease down onto the meal. I went to the Midwest City Denny's on 2/21/2024. I've been going there for over 35 years. While it's interesting to get into the parking lot due to the Douglas construction, the service "Jose B" was great and the food was good. I do have a concern though, I am tax exempt and retired Military. I ALWAYS appreciate a business who offers a Military discount and frequent those more than any other. Yesterday however I was made aware of a policy change by the franchise owner. You can receive a Military discount, or use your tax exemption, but not both. I want to be clear, I definitely appreciate the Military discount, but why can't I use my tax exemption as well? Being tax exempt, tax is NOT A DISCOUNT (it's a tax), it is an exemption to paying a tax that the restaurant can't keep in the first place. So why then is there a new policy when before a Veteran or Military person would receive a discount and then tax would not be added if they have an exemption. I just don't get it. It seems that the franchisee believes that not charging tax somehow lessens the amount of money they're making, it doesn't. Remember, discounts are a REDUCTION in the amount charged and tax exemption is not ADDING an additional fee (tax). read more

I wish I could give a negative 5 stars - I Stopped coming here earlier this year for terrible service. Thought I'd give Denny's 1 more shot because my boyfriend really wanted breaskfast for his birthday. We get here, order, wait about a good 30 minutes before the food is out.. luckily the birthday boys food came out okay, but I ordered the strawberry banana pancakes, and they served me my pancakes with 1 skronny piece of bacon and black rotten bananas.. like wow... I placed an online order to pick up food on the way home from work about 6am on July 27th. I arrived about 30 minutes after the time that the online system said that my order would be ready. I get there and I am informed that my order was not ready. Their fryers were broken. (They could have called me and notified me before I got there!) I had ordered me something to eat with a drink and then my husband something to eat. I walked out with a drink and my husband's food after a 20 to 30 minute wait. The waitress was very kind. But could not issue a refund. (She said that it had to be done through "Corp"! But she will leave a notice for the manager.) I called later on that night to speak with a manager. (There was not one available at that time.) I called the next day. My husband called a week later. And I just called again, it has been 15 days since this happened and I still have not received my refund. Every time I call I am informed that they have faxed "Corp". Once again I was asked to wait until they can contact "Corp" again on Monday. Usually, the food is great. Great friendly service. And ready when I get there. I have used the online ordering and I have called in orders. SMH Not sure if I will ever return, or at least use the online ordering system. I will update this review once I get my refund. If I get my refund. UPDATE (9/13/2018): About a month after the incident, we received a letter from the company thanking us for letting them know about the issues that we had. They include a couple vouchers for free slams. But we still have not gotten our refund. What do I have to do to get my money back!?!?!?!?! UPDATE (11/8/2018): Still have not gotten my refund. It took 40 minutes after I ordered to get my food. I was surrounded by tables who hadn't even had the opportunity to order by the time I finally got my food. Worst Experience I have ever had. She asked several workers if they were remaking it. Twenty minutes later she asked again as she had been there an hour waiting on her food. They told me my food wasn't done yet and I waited 20 more minutes before going back up to check. The lady who's order was given to Uber said they had called my name out right before I walked in. My order had been ready and sitting there getting cold when In fact it was ready the entire time. The other lady was just trying to get a refund but they didn't have a " manager" there. Took the family here for breakfast this morning and I am absolutely flabbergasted about the manager there. The food took longer then normal which was a bit irritating but no biggie. After we got our food though all hell broke loose when the manager started yelling at the staff and threatening to fire them as customer came in looking for tables. The kitchen was running out of food but instead of being professional about it the manager started a scene by yelling back and forth through the window at her staff. Several customers were sent away and due to the drama several customers just walked out. The manager at this location needs to be let go. The waiters were amazing just trying to serve us. read more

Me and my husband have been going to this Dennys for over 12 years, it has been going down hill for the last month. The food has lacked flavor and the prices went up. Today we had two glasses of tea and one piece of ham and it cost $9 and we had to leave a tip. The waitress was very good but when I went to complain about a $4 small piece of ham that could fit in a sandwich the Asian woman was very rude and just walked off. We placed our order at 11:01pm (that was a small feat in itself). I paid for the order with my credit card at that time and added a $5.72 tip to the $24.28 total. Making the grand total $30.00 After waiting several minutes...50 minutes to be exact...no one every gave us a update...no one every told us it would be a few more minutes...nothing. I finally decided to approach the counter to ask for a refund. The lady at the counter informed me "that the system wouldn't allow her to give a refund". And then I asked her what the typical wait time was for a to-go order. Her response was "not long". I told her that I had been waiting nearly a hour and I just wanted my money back. She then again informed me that if you pay with a card the system can't give refunds. When another lady over heard the conversation...they began discussing the order... "is this the one that was given away?" ... "no...that order had a glam slam" The second lady left for a short time...and then came from the kitchen with some food that she said "that she had just put together". The First Lady then told me...I could take the food or not take the food but that there was nothing she could do about giving me my money back. I checked the food...it was all correct. We took the food and left the establishment. As we were exiting the establishment another customer says to me "don't even worry about...I am writing a letter to corporate tomorrow." I was fixin to go get me some food, we sat down and the service was sub par, restaurant is dirty and the food took 1.5 hours to get food once the food was ordered. Then when I went to take a drink of water there was a rusty screw in my water, then the waitress got the manager and he said "I don't know what to say" and told me to "enjoy my food, and he would make sure I would leave happy, " I said "I don't want my food anymore ", and then he just walked away. My wife and I visited this resturant yesterday at 4:30 PM. We wanted breakfast. She ordered cappucino and was told they no longer serve it. She ordered hot chocolate and was told the machine was broken. She ordered a blueberry waffle. Guess What! The machine was broken. We wound up ordering things we really didn't want. When it arrived, some items were overcooked, some were undercooked and it was basically a complete bad experience. We even had to wait to check out because the cashier and the manager were sitting outside on the curb smoking. That was the same lady that was outside smoking when we walked in. This place needs to shut it's doors or get a complete makeover starting with the manager. read more
