David took such great care of us! I was able to create my own hash brown skillet. I added a veggie patty and all the vegetables and got a side of fruit and sourdough. The sourdough dipped in syrup with a bite of fruit literally tastes like french toast. This was also a HUGE portion and i was able to take a whole meal home with the portion I was given. I generally like Dennys, but this one was a particularly good one! The waiter was super nice, despite it being a very early morning time. My omelet was perfectly done (I always get the vegetarian one). Pancakes are good as always - they are some of the best. Super cheap! read more

This particular Denny's location is just across the street from the Orange County Convention Center's South Concourse and provides a mice alternative to the "food court" in the Orange County Convention.Center and the rather lackluster and downright expensive food that is there. Walking in, the place has the ambiance and vibe that you would expect from a Denny's. It was bright and cheerful and a nice enough place to enjoy a meal. Our server was definitely a gem. She was friendly and upbeat and honestly, was an absolute joy to have her serve us. I ended up going with their spicy chicken skillet. We also got an appetizer of onion rings. The food came out pretty quickly. Honestly, it was okay. Maybe if okay was a grade, it might even rank an okay minus. But it was a far superior choice than to what you get inside the Orange County Convention Center. While there, we fell into a conversation with an older lady from Ireland who absolutely loved the concept of Denny's. I guess it is all about perspective. I might have given it three stars, but that lovely woman from Ireland made me decide to up my rating to four stars. read more

I have been here twice and the overall service is okay. The people are kind but the service itself is slow. I am waiting on a pick up order now and I have heard the phone go off multiple times and it is not busy. Someone finally picked it up on the fourth time. People walked past it before that though. Kyle has welcomed me every single time I go and he sits you with courteousness and a smile. He remembered me from the last time. As I sat down, he remembered I love their coffee "Can I get you some fresh coffee." Every SINGLE time he brings me coffee and freshens it up when my cup is down to half and makes sure I have plenty of cream. Every single time, Kyle comes quickly to take my order and I have not had a bad meal ever. He is an enjoyable Manager and runs that particular site well. The people next to us were here before us, and never got their food until after us, the steak they had gotten was cold and raw. This is the first bad experience we have had here and there were 3 tables that have been here the same time as us and never got served so they had left , the waitress sucked and didn't even try to give any attention to any of her tables . It's diner food so it is what it is, but last year the service was much faster. We stayed at the nearby hotel for a sports tournament. It is nicely situated between the convention center and the hotel. You get great standard Denny's food. The place was--expectedly--extremely busy because of all the patrons for the youth sporting event but they still provide awesome, friendly service. Be warned though that the entire party needs to be present to be seated. Also, they purportedly do not offer takeout (there was a sign) at least during the time of my child's event, but I seem to see some takeout.... We went there twice during the week, as there's enough variety in the breakfast and sandwich/burgers to mix it up. read more

The food came out nice and hot and pretty fast for a group of four I would say around 10 minutes and my only complaint about the food would be that the cheese on top was not fully melted but that's fine. When we walked in we instantly got greeted by a waiter and a waitress and we ended up getting sat almost instantly. My meat was cooked at perfect medium rare and my veggies were veggies. Yea,, that's it. What else you want me to say? The cook was hella skilled? So disappointed with our (lack of) service and the actual food. We were really looking forward to trying their new tres Leches pancakes, so we ordered some this morning, and what we got at our table was nothing like the picture on the menu. We received regular pancakes with a dollop of whipped cream and a sort of tres Leches liquid to pour over them. To be honest, we were completely distracted by our very unhappy 1.5 yr old twins and a very hungry party of five! We thought our pancakes were just lacking cinnamon and sugar on top, perhaps, but after we left, I looked up the advertisement online out of curiosity because I knew something wasn't and realized they were also supposed to be served with ice cream. Well, after reading some reviews here I was apprehensive to come. But after eating at other nearby breakfast place (Village Inn) I am so glad I did. This is Very close to the convention center (short 5 minute walk). The hosts were exceptionally friendly, prompt and attentive. Even though the place was 75% full. The place was very clean, and welcoming. The food was exactly as ordered and Not oily like some places. I had the egg whites with hashbrowns and pecan/ banana pancakes. It looked to me as perhaps the prior comments have had a positive impact on management. I was very happy with the overall experience and would definitely recommend coming.
