Today we went to the Dennys at 7748 N. Davis in Pensacola. The restaurant has a different layout as the Dennys we normally go to on Nine Mile. It could use a good cleaning it's definitely an older restaurant. Time to eat up some yumminess. We enjoy the Denny's menu with lots to choose from. Normally we lean towards breakfast. The worst service and food we have ever had. First they didn't have any burgers. Then the bird sandwich was not toasted. The chicken strips were dry and over cooked but the chicken fried chicken was raw. I was given a salad with no dressing. When asked to remake the chicken fried chicken they never remade it. And the cook was swearing that she didn't have a break. I have never experienced such horrendous service. I want to give no starts but that's not an option. read more

The Denny's in Pensacola has: No French toast No milk No fruit (strawberries etc) No ice cream (no smoothies or sundaes) No steak No tomatoes No mushrooms No spinach And they keep having to go out to the grocery store to buy eggs because they keep running out. The restaurant is empty - the locals know! The poor waitress is so embarrassed its taken 50 minutes for our breakfast grand slam (all they are really serving) because the kitchen is doing the take outs first. No manager on duty. Dennys on Davis Highway just totally saved the day I went to the IHOP down the road for the strawberry cheesecake pancakes only to find out there was no cream cheese for the pancakes so I drove a short distance to the Denny's where not only did they give me a piece of Cheese cake they also gave me cream cheese , but and yogurt topping that goes on they're berry pancakes. And to top it off, they gave me a cream cheese drizzle icing just for the fun of it. They literally helped me fix their competitors pancakes. I would suggest Denny's on Davis Highway to anyone. The hostess was so kind and amazing. I give them five star. The hostess named Diana she was beyond kind and generous. Next time I'm coming straight to Denny's. read more

I believe new management has taken over as I noticed that the food quality is way better and the facility is way more cleaner. Customer service was amazing. The overall ambience is great my wife and I we had the veggie omelettes and the pot roast sandwich. Amazing. I highly recommend it. read more

The food was good, but the service was horrible. There was only one server doing the work, and the others were doing fuck all. I had to wait 10-20 minutes for any form of service, causing me to almost miss the bus that I was supposed to get on. Half of my time there was spent waiting for service that I would've never gotten if I didn't intervene. Never coming again. read more

What a sad sad experience my wife and I both been retired chefs and after 35+ years in the kitchen working together we both had a craving we wanted a couple of the club sandwiches so I told her to ask her to stop picking stuff up we can make us a couple sandwiches and she said no she didn't wanna go to the store. She said let's just grab a couple from Denny's. She said she had one near years ago and it was good. Well what time has done to that sandwich this must be the same sandwich that she got left over from years ago cause it was absolutely disgusting. It was a simple sandwich in between two pieces of bread that had horrible products between the bread it and I don't know what all they put on it. It just tasted terrible so yeah we paid $35 for two horrible sandwiches and two orders of onion rings which on onion rings were pretty doggone good but I'd never order sandwich from this place, even if they were giving it to me, I don't wanna eat it so pass. read more

The whole restaurant is a poop show. They are out of basic things and the service is slow. The kitchen is clearly understaffed for the number of people trying to get served. The food, while passable takes forever because they don't have enough cooks. The ambiance is classic Denny's circa the 90's which is nice in a throwback diner kind of thing. read more

This particular Denny's is located on North Davis Highway, just off of Interstate 10 and is next to a La Quinta Inn. The service is relatively efficient, friendly and fast and the restaurants is clean and well-maintained. There's ample parking considering that they share the parking lot with the La Quinta Inn. I am not the biggest fan of Denny's, but than again I am not a big fan of chain restaurants. I just feel that you can usually get better options at the school mom and pop places that you can find in towns. However, this Denny's was very convenient for the hotel I was staying in and since my hotel was not offering breakfast due to the covid-19 pandemic, this provided a very convenient and quick way to grab breakfast. The food was good. It was what you should expect from a Denny's. Denny's likes to Bill itself as an American Diner and the food is a reasonable facsimile of what a diner should offer. Go with one of their breakfast platters, they're all pretty good. Breakfast is probably the best meals that they offer. I find that their lunch and dinner options are usually under seasoned and just bland. They also have a sign saying that they are 24 hours, a nice touch. I do not know if that has changed due to the covid-19 pandemic oh, but it is always good to have a 24-hour restaurant option, especially when you are just off the highway. I would not recommend for a tractor trailer driver to try and come here because parking will pose a problem. read more

We are here now. We've been waiting for more than 40 minutes and I've not been served. We can see the kitchen. We can see the in there. There's only one Cook the manager has gotten behind area to cook several times. The head waitress is very nice and she's really hustling as much as she can but they either have a low minimum wage here in Pensacola Florida or maybe they don't treat their employees well? We need to get on the road and this is delaying our trip. read more

We had gone and sat for 2 hours after we ordered. Only 4 of us out of our party got their food and it was not the best nor was all of what we ordered there. Only after we got up and complained. the lady told us that they were understaffed and would take a while. I did not understand why they couldn't say that before. Anywhere else a salad like this, and this good would be $22 (+/- 4). Instead it was like $12 and out fast. Now, the 5 stars don't mean this is like the brunch at the four seasons. Manage your expectations. It's still a Dennys and the exterior and interior could use some work. The location, like just about every Dennys, is a bit sketchy. I accidentally deleted the breakfast pictures but we couldn't decide what to have breakfast or lunch so we decided to split a lunch - like appetizer and then ordered grand slams, app came out promptly and we enjoyed it while we waited for our friend to arrive, we had enough hot fresh food from our plentiful breakfast order and appetizer that we enjoyed our visit and shared our food so everything was ready to enjoy when she walked in (even though she was late) Kimberly our waitress was very sweet and attentive, the pancakes were AWESOME as usual, I love pancakes and this Dennys pancakes are ALL WAYS perfectly cooked, and my bacon and eggs were cooked egg eggcactly the way I wanted them, I really enjoy eating at this location. We walked in super excited and hungry, and then it was crushed by the frustration of waiting.We have been sitting here for 1 hour. Ordered right after sitting. I get that they're understaffed and i have a party of 5, but i feel like they should give you a heads up before having us sit and order. I try to keep a positive outlook but this is ridiculous. I feel like if you value your time don't come here. It amazes me that the food can take so long and still come out cold. Dennys on North Davis Hubby had a procedure at West Florida Hospital today at 7AM. He had to follow a liquid diet yesterday. So on the way home this morning he really wanted breakfast out. He didn't want McDonalds. So we spied Dennys. I'd been to a Dennys years ago and it was good so we decided to go there. Walked in and the place was dingy and dark, but hey they had plenty of people there. Sat and got coffee right away. I couldn't decide if my coffee cup was dirty or not. I did drink out of it because it could have been the way the waitress poured it getting coffee drips all over the cup. I ordered scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon and one strawberry crepe. The hash browns were very dry which was weird because I never had dry hash browns before. Bacon and eggs were fine, even though I had to check twice my eggs to see if something like an onion or mushroom was in it. The strawberry crepe, which should have been the star of the meal got two thumbs down from me. Strawberries were frozen and mushy. The crepe was slimy. Not good at all. Very disappointing. Hubby got an omelette that looked good. It came with hash browns and I could see he was having trouble eating them. His plain pancakes had something in them that I spied. I dug it out with a spoon and I'm hoping it was a chocolate chip. Looking around I noticed the place needed a good cleaning. Im really thinking there was cross contamination going on in that kitchen and the grills needed cleaning. I'm surprised restaurant inspectors have left this place open. Needless to say we wouldn't go back and not recommend anyone to go there. The place needs a total remodel, thoroughly cleaned and a refresher class in cooking cleanliness. Service was good. I'm on tour with my Artist and when on tour, Denny's is our stop for reliable food. On this trip, I've hit Toronto Canada, Miami Florida and Pensacola Florida and they've all been consistently fantastic!!! Clean, fast and really good food. Fluffy pancakes, eggs cooked perfectly and options of breads. My favorite their home made biscuits....SO DELICIOUS!!! Waitress always friendly and ready to swap out anything you want, no questions asked. The burgers and fries Not disappointing and they have a vegetarian burger that's delicious!!!
