First off, tap water is tap water, but it doesn't need dirt floating around in it... I ordered a Tuscan chicken sandwich and it came out after waiting for an hour, the bun was soggy and hardly edible. The chicken was ice cold and the lettuce was wilted. My waitress was Shauna C. I very kindly asked her to wash her hands before getting my son something to drink because he has severe food allergies and I explained a little bit about what he was allergic to and she very rudely responded well I don't have eggs on me. I explained that she carries people's plates that have eggs and she just kept her attitude. I have never and I mean NEVER been treated like that about my son's allergies. Every where else we go is very kind and the waitress completely understands. If you can't take a minute out of your time to wash your hands for someone with a SEVERE allergy to save their life you shouldn't be working in the food industry. Food allergies are becoming more and more common. I hope Shauna learns how to react when it comes to allergies instead of being a total rude ass about it. read more

Okay. Ive come here a few times and I really haven't had and complaints but Tonight was just absolutely horrendous. The service we received was pretentious and rude. To begin we ordered shakes and when we asked the server if they were coming she told us "I'll get to them when I'm ready to". After that we ordered our food and when it finally came around there were a few fries strewn about on my plate, the egg was barely Cooked and all over the place and cold, whereas the Patty was too hot to eat and I ended up burning my tongue. I also ordered a side of hash browns which were cold and stale like they pulled them out of the fridge and just slapped it on my plate. I mean it is Denny's, but even for Denny's the service tonight was the worst I've ever had at any restaurant I've ever been to. read more

As a child I would visit Denny's with my family and have lunch or dinner there occasionally, especially when returning from competing in horse shows. But as a adult I recently visited Denny's with my mother and I waited 45 minutes for someone to serve us and take our drink requests. We waited another 10 minutes and noticed the waiters and waitresses staring at our booth, or on their phones completely ignoring that we were waiting to be served. With us waiting there in our both now for 55 minutes without any service we got up from the table and left Denny's to find somewhere else to eat. Another time I treated my friend to dinner after work at Denny's and something tasted different about the food but we could not figure out what it was until we left to go to the store. My friend felt sick to his stomach for the next few hours after eating his meal. While I ended up with food poisoning from the breakfast I had ordered from Denny's. As a recommendation for improving the service it all starts with management, training skills, attentiveness to the customer, proper preparation and storage of food at the restaurant. I realize modern technology has become a big part of society today but that should not impact someone's work ethic while on the job, if I were the manager I would have strict rules on cell phones use in the work place. I understand if it involves a serious personal matter or family but when you are constantly on your phones rather than working it becomes a distraction and shows lack respect for your job and the customers you were serving. read more

He also did no tell the waitress we were there, we waited 10 minutes for water or coffee. The place was clean. Slow day only 6 couples in the place. Al those the food was just OK, the portions was verrrrrry small! My wife's dinner salad was Soooo small I would of cleared it in 3 forks !! Just came from waiting 20 min in line just for them keep telling me they will be right with me. . Not at all even busy, employees (2 servers and 1 manager it seems) kept saying someone would be right with you... every single table not even cleaned, and restroom were so dirty. Went there yesterday and the service was horrible. Our waitress sat us down then disappeared for 15 mins, then finally came and took our drink orders, had to come back because she forgot what we ordered, 2 iced teas, one pepsi. Then it was another 15 mins before she returned with them. Took 30 mins for our food, I ordered the slam burger with my egg over easy, when we got the food my egg was so over cooked. Mentioned it to the waitress I could hear her walk back and yell at the cook that the egg was over cooked and literally 5 seconds later she appeared with a properly cooked egg. One can only assume she pulled the egg off of someone else's plate that was waiting to go out! I never received an apology for the length of time we waited nor for my order being wrong. But waiting for an hour for food at a Dennys that wasn't really that busy is just crazy. I will not be returning to this establishment again. The manager even came by and asked if everything was okay with our meal, when we told her about the egg she just kinda shrugged and moved on to the next table. The food was good besides the over cooked egg, everything was hot and tasted great. Just the service was horrible. read more

Unbelievable. Went in with a few friends. At least 15 minutes before server even approached us. Food showed up unevenly- some of us got their food 15 minutes before others. I ordered blackberry pancakes but blueberry were brought. Also ordered an egg dish which arrived cold and well after the pancakes. I didn't send back because after the long wait, most of our party had already eaten and we had plans to be somewhere. Seriously bad service. read more

Ate here on 8-11-17 @ 10pm, this place was a disaster! Took them like 10 minutes to notice that we entered and to acknowledge that we were there, then we were seated and took like another 15 minutes to take drink order and to top it all off we were given to go cups seeing as their dishwasher was broken and couldn't wash dishes! Horrible I will never come here again! But on a better note the waitress that helped us very nice and apologetic for the whole situation. read more

beware when going in the morning. just like 11am.we had just checked out of hotel. We were waiting for like 1 hour just to get seated. They took out name wrong. Everyone else that came in got seated before us. Even bigger groups. Even one family said," they were here before us". we said ya we have been here since 11. Until we were fed up we asked to talk to manger /supervisor about how we have to wait so long just to get seated every one else that comes in gets seating right away. Don't know their reason but after we made a Big Deal we got seated right away and there were plenty of seats. We order right away. We still had to find a tire shop since we got a flat. We just wanted to eat and get on with our day. Next time we will just eat somewhere else, its ridiculous. We thought oh we get there maybe wait like 10-15 min. eat and get on our way. No that didn't happen, we left there like at 1pm. The manager/supervisor brought us some sugar bread balls as on the house, to bring us around. We didn't want that, we just wanted to eat our food. No discount on our bill for the extreme long wait, just the coupon that we had. Which was good I found online. We just wanted to eat and get out. We have gone to other Denny's, with a group of 15 people and never, never had to wait this long. Just beware if you go for breakfast you might as well thing about ordering lunch. After we were seated we got our drinks quickly and food on timely manner, food was good, manager/supervisor kept making sure everything was good, but damage was already done. Having worked in restaurants for years, I despise cooks handling my food without a hat on or their hair contained. People sweat, hair falls out, etc. handling food without your contained is disgusting. The server Yolanda, literally told me she was "busy and had other tables to pick up" when I asked for the pw to the free wifi. She eventually did give it to me when I was ready to leave. read more

Friendly staff, great food served quickly in a nice place. We were in the area for a girls water polo tournament, and staying at the hotel next door; 12 athletes who had just traveled 100 miles to play 2 hard games in the late afternoon plus their rooting section of 19 parents & siblings. We let them know we'd be coming and were they ever ready for us! We came in after 7:30 and had to meet an early curfew to be ready for an early game the next morning. After a friendly greeting, they quickly gave us menus and sat all of us in the same section; took our drink orders; as part of the service team was getting those to us others took our food orders, matching parents and kids who were not necessarily sitting together. The food came fast, it was prepped properly, and comments were made that the portions appeared to be more generous than usual. Not just no complaints, nothing but compliments; we'll be back next year. read more

After a great night out with visiting friends and family, we headed over to this Denny's for a late night grub. We casually walked in and let the hostess know the amount of people and was told that there was a wait although there was little amount of people inside the restaurant. We begin to wait and about 20-25 minutes have passed and we have still not been seated and was not updated on our status so we decided to leave. Would not recommend this specific restaurant, terrible customer service. read more

I don't understand others' complaints of unfriendly staff or disappointing food. That surely was not the case for our visit last Saturday. The vestibule was crowded but we asked how long the wait would be and were told--accurately--"about 10 minutes." Our server was professional and kind, and all three adults in our party were happy with our breakfasts. Mine included a gluten-free English muffin; wish I knew what brand they used because it was actually good, unlike many gluten-free breads. I was only visiting the area for the weekend, so I can't return any time soon, but I would for sure if I lived in the Five Cities. read more

This place is bad. Every time they change the menu the prices get higher but the food is less. They take EBT so all the homeless people hang out there. Some of the old servers are great but it seems like they're all leaving and denny's just likes to hire trashy people. Most of them can't even get the order right. The cook Fredy is always on his phone,I wonder if he washes his hands every time he grabs the phone? Denny's has just become so bad I will not be returning. Done with this place! Been going at least once a week but, Coco's here I come. Coffee is cold all the time unless you wait 15 minuets for a fresh pot. Food comes cold and they are always ready to put it in the microwave for you? What happen to good old fresh cooked food and not crap that has been on the back burner for G od only knows how long. Spent the last two days on the road to LA VA hospital and back and just wanted a nice quick dinner as we were exhausted. Not only did our waitress not put our order in, it took her over 30 minutes to figure it out. Thanks a lot. Not only that, not one person on staff noticed a very elderly man waiting forever to pay his bill. Not one offer of help for him. He eventually had to sit down in the first booth to wait for his chance. A little observation and courtesy for our veterans and elderly would go a long way. Customer service apparently is extinct.. We wont be going to that Denny's again as there is a Coco's and Carls Jr. nearby. read more

My family visited Denny's recently, had a ok meal, yet i could not enjoy it half way through. When I took a sip of water, what I drank was mildew! It was absolutely Disgusting! When my husband told the waiter and the manager... They did not believe us and when I took my daughter to the restroom I could hear them talking and laughing. When I came back my husband said the manger said it was tap water and its just the way the water system is!? Are you kidding me!? My husband works for a beverage company and told them they need to clean their fountain filters! Yet they did not listen. As we were leaving I could see elderly people and kids tables all had sodas and waters on their tables. I just couldn't believe that the manager at Denny's turned their cheek at the fact they were ok with serving drinks with Mildew in them. I was disgusted and could not enjoy the rest of my meal. I will never go back to this Denny's ever again! read more
