    Country fried steak
    Devin C.

The country fried steak was excellent, and the only time I've ever seen a rib eye used instead of a cheap cut of beef. It was tender and very tasty, easily one of the best I've had in years. Service was friendly, as we pulled up a little before lunch started. Will definitely be back soon

Update: Again, great food and service. Today I had the country fried steak and eggs: the steak is a ribeye and was excellent. My son had the Cowboy Benedict and inhaled it. The service was great from the greeter to server, to bussers, to the owner that came by to check on us. Keep up the good work. Cheers

We went there for the first time last Thursday. The food was so good. They had spare ribs that were so tender. I ordered a full rack but I think they gave me way more than that. The Mac and cheese was very good. My husband had the western burger. Our son had the tritip sandwich. We were served onion rings as a free appetizer. Excellent! Service was great. We will definitely be back when we are in Pismo.

OK this review is for dinner. First off service was good, Justin was our server. I had Filet mignon and it was. Just ok. Came with a salad which was good. I didn't want the beans and they let me replace with scallop potatoes, sort of runny. My husband had Salmon and said a bit over cooked, but vegetables were great. We did have a nice bottle of Hess Cab. The menu is small but I understand, they are. Slowly building up a clientele. I bummed the breakfast pictures are gone, just the dinner ones are here.

Came by for dinner on a Friday. This is a relatively small place for a dinner venue. Place was moderately full. They have inside and outside seating. I ordered their Creekside Fries as I wasn't too hungry. Food was delivered timely and at the right temperature but i didn't see any tritip which is part of the menu item. I asked the server and she noticed the same and returned the dish to add tritip. Fries were fine but I should have requested them well done as the fries quickly became soft under the toppings. Service was friendly and efficient. I'll come back when I'm hungry to try a real entree.

Decided to try this last minute on a Saturday night before Clark center. Everyone was so friendly. Food was good and reasonable priced. We shared Vaquero charcuterie. The owners son Vic Jr was awesome.

We stopped by after the weekend up in Paso Robles for wine tasting and SLO town. It was still early so the town was pretty mellow and starting to open up. Well, this place was very lively and packed when we arrived. They have patio seating with some table's available but once you walk inside, the place was packed. All the tables and seat were utilized with people enjoying their meal and a cup of coffee. And a line forming for ordering. I've only had their drinks and pastries but they do offer food. Seeing what was being picked up and taken back to their seats, everything looked amazing. The open sandwiches, a must try next time we're here. But I was there for one thing, the scones. I don't know if they are made on site or from another establishment but let me say, they are fantastic. Everything was very tasty and not dry like some are. There's always a few selection which does sell out fast. I picked up the blueberry, favorite out of them all and a must try. The lemon which was tasty and not overly sweet and the maple syrup. Slightly sweet but not overly. And they're not dry which was the best part. By the time I ordered mine, majority of them were sold out. People must know about this place. Same thing with the town, I'm not sure if it was more locals or visitors that was visiting the place but it was happening. Besides the drinks and food, they also have coffee and teas for purchase as well as apparels. It's a full coffee shop and cafe with great drinks and delicious looking meals. Plus the customers service is top notch with the sweetest staff. Highly recommended stopping by for a meal or even a coffee.

Board was finished with a pile of rosemary sprigs and basil bigger than the toast. All that for $14.50!!! To boot the zucchini bread was dried out completely except for the center. Sorry guys you blew it. Come look for me at Mule.

I've had them at plenty of places, and these were honestly some of the best I've ever had. The beans, pico de gallo and chorizo sauce were so good together. I ordered mine with soft corn tortillas instead of crispy ones and scrambled eggs, which I definitely preferred. My husband and I also shared the tiramisu French toast, which was delicious and a HUGE portion, so come hungry! The kids' menu is very generous, maybe even a little too generous if your kids have smaller appetites. My 11-year-old got the $12 pancake meal with eggs and sausage but could really only finish the pancake. We took the eggs and sausage back to the hotel, but honestly they'll probably end up getting thrown out. For my 5-year-old, we just ordered a pancake by itself for about $4, and he only ate about a quarter of that. So if your kids don't eat a lot, I'd definitely recommend ordering the $4 pancake by itself instead of the full kids' breakfast. In hindsight, I would've done that for both of mine. Overall, the food was excellent and the portions were very generous. We'd absolutely come back the next time we're in the area. Highly recommend!

Cons- long wait times, no parking, eggs Benedict over cooked. No outside seating. Also the floor is not level inside, so certain seats can be very slanted, including the table. Id definitely go back, but I'd probably check the other close by restaurants for quicker seating times. All around easy 4 stars.

Most of the parking you will find is "paid parking "...ya sorry, I don't "pay" for parking...just not a "believer", I rather park farther away from a venue and enjoy the walk to and from. Lucky I didn't have to do that because just as I arrived at the restaurant another patron was leaving the small parking lot between Beachin Biscuits and Alex's BBQ ...amazing! The "order line" was out the door and all tables (first come first serve) were occupied by customers, but not to worry...the tables "turn over" pretty quickly and again, I got lucky and seating wasn't a problem (but it could be). The associate who took our order was cheerful and all associates were seemingly very busy. Our order: from the "Gravy Lovers" section...GNARLY BISCUIT SANDWICH (5/5 - truly a magnificent dish...and a great introduction to this restaurant's "best"), from the "Breakfast Burritos and Tacos" section...SUNRISE TACOS (5/5 - very tasty) and THE PABLO (4/5 - flavorful and a great "hand-held" food), from the Lunch Menu "Sandwiches" section...THE TIDE POOL w/Spicy mayo (3/5 - this was the "lowest rated offering"...wasn't hot/warm when it was served - felt like it had been left "standing for awhile" before being served...needed more spicy mayo and the chicken seemed "dry".), from the "Homemade Biscuit" section...BOARDWALK BITES (3.5/5 - really good when hot...but after a few minutes were very "dry" ...I should have had these w/coffee). The "value factor" is high here my dear Yelp Review Readers ...everyone had leftovers to "take with" and mine last 3 additional meals! Also (FYI) there is only 1 bathroom...so be prepared to "wait" if the need should arise. Nevertheless, all in all...the vibe is energetic and fun, parking isn't the best or pleasant, the food is, by enlarge, really good (recommend ordering an offering in which a biscuit plays an integral part...it is after all "Beachin Biscuits") and the service (for our experience) was good. On this occasion...in this Yelper's opinion, Beachin Biscuits is in fact "worth the hype" and truly earned this "highly recommend" 4.5 Star "we'll be back soon" review.

I quickly realized that our food probably sat on the ready counter for a significant length isn't time. I ordered biscuits and gravy with bacon and two eggs over easy. The biscuits were ok at best, Gravy lacked flavor and my eggs were as cold as the weather outside. My GF ordered a sandwich, that did not come with fries. That was discovered once the order arrived. We were told they're playing with the menu. ‍, sounded weird but ok. She also god a side of mozzarella sticks. Those two were cold. Like they took a string cheese and rolled it in breading and heated in the microwave for about 15 seconds. So disappointing. I hope they figure out their staffing issues and lock in the menu. Seems like a decent spot but I'll find another breakfast place. Don't waste your money, plus I heard the tips are automatically added to the bill. I didn't look that closely because there was only 3 of us eating and I'm not used to auto tipping unless you have a large party. If they do auto tipping, my waitress hit well more than deserved because I tipped on my own as well. The table we were sat, was out of little jam packets. Seems like a trivial thing to bring up but details matter. What else are they skipping...? Do they even wipe down a table when it's reset first the next guests? McDonalds is down the street. We both ordered the seafood platter for lunch, and chose the soup as the side (one clam chowder, one chicken tortilla). While the wait staff was very good and the wait time was typical for noontime, once the food arrived, the quality of the meal was quite substandard, especially for this area. I have never had such gristly fish, ever. I had to work hard to cut through it with a typical butter knife. It had no flavor and was unpleasant to chew. There was no flakiness to any of the four pieces. The shrimp was good, but I assume it was frozen. The cocktail sauce and the tartar sauce were both delicious, but it just wasn't enough to mask the texture of the fish. I then tried the chicken tortilla soup since the waiter recommended it. Instead of chicken meat, it has chicken skin. Gross. I will say the clam chowder was very good, and I regretted not ordering it. I'm sorry to say we won't be back unless just for a cup of chowder and a beer.
