    Spicy moons over my hammy
    Scott O.

We had the Spicy moons over my hammy and pancake stack. $15.70. We went to Denny's to try the Spicy moons over my hammy that we have been seeing advertised. It was both different and better than we thought it would be. While it had jalapenos it also had spicy chorizo! ..Which was some of the best we've had! If highly recommend trying this sandwich and I can't wait to get back to try it again.

So felt like a home cooked type meal and was in end of day traffic so stopped here. Location sucks because if you are in the southern direction you have to do a lot to get here. I remember my parents taking me to Dennys when we traveled. The place has been upgraded, clean, and seems staff are friendly. Music is on the loud side but that is to be expected as people bring their kids. Actually nice that this place caters to family. At each booth there are outlets, bring your laptop, pop a squat and have a meal at the same time. My order was taken quickly but let's see how long it takes to get the meal. Chicken fried steak looks good and did not take too long. Of course there is some lady coughing up a storm and she should cover her mouth. Yuck!! Food is okay, the CFS was okay, not great. Corn was decent and mash potatoes started out good but then had little taste to them Once your food arrives they don't check on you at all. So that is not good.

Most times, you don't expect extraordinary from Dennys. The day we visited food was better than normal And the waitstaff was EXCELLENT. I felt as though I was listened to (I have particular demands when it comes to my breakfast) and well taken care of throughout the entire visit. My food cooking instructions were met and my coffee cup was always full! I've been here many times and felt like it was a bit better than average, today it was very good!!!

30 minutes for a table. Gal is hostess, cashier, Grub Hub order pick up lady , drive thru person, and phone order person.

Very disorganized. It was lunch and 20 people milling around lobby looking for a sign in list. The gal who had it on her phone was MIA. She finally showed up but spent 5 minutes in phone taking a take out order. There were two families trying to pay and leave, but no one to take their money. Finally girl on phone got around to it, but took list of people waiting first. In between she did a to go order at window and bagged up a Grub Hub order. The manager was no where to be seen for 20 minutes and finally helped some people check out. We waited over 35 minutes to be seated and then sat at table for 15 minutes after it was bussed for our waiter, who said they had to space out my orders going into kitchen. The kids enjoyed a hamburger with French fries and a stack of birthday pancakes with whipped cream and sprinkles for the other. My husband had an All American Grand Slam, and he slammed it back! It was bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, hash browns, and an English muffin. My daughter had a vegetarian omelette with hash browns and a tomato juice. I had a spinach, bacon, and Swiss cheese omelette with fresh fruit. The food was all freshly made and well prepared, but we almost died of starvation just waiting. Issac was our waiter. He was very kind, and overworked. They are so short of staff. We will go back again at a less hectic time.

First off their food portions are huge and the service and atmosphere is so welcoming. I met several people that work there, and they're all incredibly sweet and friendly. Daisy, Rylee, Brandon, Arron, managers Shelby (amazing), and Johnny all of whom greeted me and their service is beyond super stellar. I ended up ordering a cheeseburger and fries off the kids menu just because the size is like a regular portion for an adult. Typically this place is packed, but I popped by on Friday afternoon when there wasn't as many people so I got all the attention! Lol, no but seriously Brekki is 5 stars--6 stars just for their attention to customers and quality of their work. Parking is pretty available, plenty outdoor spaces to eat or inside. I'll coming back here soon without a doubt.

The Saturday we came, we were lucky enough to get seated right away. They do have a nice variety for the menu. I had the Sweet Red Chile Chicken and it was really good along with the pickled veg. The potatoes were ehh, next time I might need to add an extra side or swap that out. The chilaquiles were also good, no complaints. We're willing to come back to try other tasty things off the menu. Service was a little delayed, our server was new and it was really busy. We live close by and would come more often if it didn't feel like you always have to battle for a parking spot.

Wow . This was one of the best DoorDash meals I've had in a very very long time. The food itself is…read morea very solid 5+ star meal. Outstanding! I don't even know where to start but here goes. The New Mexican Philly cheesesteak, arguably my favorite dish, very very different take on what a cheesesteak usually is (not in a bad way). I was first skeptical when I ordered it, but I saw all the great reviews on the dish so I had to try. This was oddly enough my 4th favorite Philly cheesesteak I've ever had, which is weird to say because the first 3 favorites were actually in Philly and made the traditional way. Something about the spicy queso sauce and the soft fatty tasting meat just really brought it home. The huevos rancheros: every inch was flavorful , saucy, cheesy and lovely. I enjoyed even more the parts where I could also taste the tortilla at the bottom, wish it was in more of the dish but it's okay the flavors were outstanding. Another 5 star dish! Next time I'll also try it with eggs over medium. The Xmas chile cheese fries: best chile cheese fries in New Mexico! The fries themselves tasted like they were hand cut, so either they had some high quality freezer fries or they definitely cut those fries by hand. Either way I wasn't complaining! Their green chile was insanely good. We also had the Green Chile stew, the flavors and ingredients were really good. I think for people that love home cooking this will feel really nostalgic for them. Like grandmas caldo she used to make. For me, the dry texture of the beef reminded me way too much of my mom's dry / rough beef she always had in her stews . Objectively I can say it was a really nice caldo, but the tortillas, not sure how I could grab on to much of the food with it really. I think this might be a dish best eaten in house. I also tipped their staff $2 in addition to the driver tip , and they wrote a funny joke on the plate which I thought was cute haha. I kept the rating at 5 stars but I hope that management reads this review because I do have one critique. All the food was in styrofoam and non sustainable plastic. Styrofoam especially has been banned from some places including California because when heated it, it adds cancer causing chemicals into your food. I would gladly pay $0.35 per meal to receive the meals in sustainable packaging that will keep me healthy. Because of this, I think I won't be ordering from here for delivery and hope that I have time to make the 20 minute drive to go there in person. It's really good food! Found this place on DoorDash but the funny part is it's been near my house the whole time next to the barber shop I've been to plenty of times.

Yes, the chiles are vegan. (So are the beans - pressure-cooked to creamy tenderness.) Yes, they're delicious - both the red (from pods!) and the green. (And, yes, it's me - noted grumpy traditionalist who usually wants an extra scoop of bacon grease in pretty much every dish - who's writing that.) The room is small, but well thought-out. There are nice little two-top tables outside along the sidewalk/patio in this pleasant part of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque. Lavender Cocinita is popular, with a steady stream of folks coming in - but I've never had a problem getting seated and I've never felt rushed (even when sitting a while, jabbering in the chile afterglow). (Free parking is plentiful in the area, but a little weird in the Los Ranchos pedestrian area: your best bet might be trying for street parking on Tyler Road, the E/W street just N of the restaurant.) The chef is friendly and will answer questions. The counter folks have always been friendly and kind: checking on us periodically. Really nice folks. It's an order-at-the-counter/pay/take-a-seat/they-bring-it-to-you place, but the service is good enough that you'll kick yourself if you don't tip heavier than usual for such an arrangement. Get your own water at the counter. Food is cooked to order (perfectly in all my visits thus far) and will take a few minutes to get to your table, but you'll be happy. Portions are always large (I leave full, and I'm a big eater) and the cost is on the low edge of today's pricing. The chiles are real-deal: they tend to be notably more piquant than at most places in town but they're real chile and vary in heat with the batch being served (I am used to and appreciate heat and one time the green was HOT!). As noted, the flavors are just wonderful. Bear in mind, NM red and green chiles are relatively simple sauces with few components: the artistry of the chef and the quality of the ingredients are absolutely vital to the flavor impact of the finished product served - and Lavender Cocinita absolutely nails this. Foodies have written the place up over and over, and they've won awards that would impress folks in the know in the short time (less than two years) they've been open. Without being melodramatic, this place gives a serious-about-the-flavors vibe that reminds me of those noted in places that have won James Beard American Classic awards. Lavender Cocinita is a reasonably inconvenient drive for me, but every time I've made it I've driven back with a grin and a vow to do it again soon.

My sandwich arrived about 24 minutes after ordering, which may have been due to the lunch rush. Including tip, lunch came to about $30. While the price point felt a little high for the overall experience, the quality and flavor of the food helped balance that out. Overall, I enjoyed the food and appreciate having another locally owned option in the neighborhood.
