Had a great time tonight. My husband and I stopped in for a late breakfast for dinner and loved it. We were seated immediately at had our drinks with in a minute or so. Although there was a lot of customers the service was fast and customer service was great. The server even suggested an amazing sandwich which I got and I loved it. You could tell that even though it's graveyard shift the employees enjoyed their job. This seemed to all be thanks to the manager who checked on every table and kept conversations light and fun. The meals were served quickly and were cooked to perfection. I'm definitly come back because it was unlike any dennys I had ever been to. I absolutely hate Denny's. It's a damn shame that Denny's is one of the only places you can eat at late at night. I have never ever had a satisfactory experience at any Denny's restaurant I've been to. At this particular restaurant, I was here for 35 minutes and had yet to see the server. I was here with a group of friends. We were sat down pretty quickly but it took forever to see the server to take our drink order. You can get syrups added to your sodas like cherry, vanilla... But there's something seriously off tasting about them. They just taste weird. But the sodas are also poorly flavored and carbonated as well so you feel like water would be the safest drink choice since they can't possibly screw that up. They always seem to be poorly staffed I saw maybe 3 servers with every table having people on them. You can tell they're really trying to improve the food they serve there... But there's no way in hell I'll ever eat at another Denny's ever again read more

This location is now permanently off my list of places to gather with friends. We've been here several times, and something is always seriously wrong! This time I got a full tray of cold drinks dumped down my back! The server mumbled something about being sorry, then just disappeared. No one offered to bring napkins or towels, until they finally sent someone to mop the floor and I was able to ask him for some napkins. Ten minutes later, we still hadn't been served coffee. When we finally got our food, half of it was cold, and my fiance's burger was charred to a crisp. My friend and I waited over 25 minutes for a coffee refill, and she had to ask 3 times for a glass of water. We are frequent customers of Denny's all over Southern California for late night meals, and this one doesn't even deserve the name. read more

My lady and I love to go out to eat to different restaurants and what not, which includes Denny's. We usually go to the Denny's in Northridge which is pretty good and always good customer service. It was our first time going to this Denny's and I've never been so dissatisfied with a restaurant in my life, literally. The timing of us being seated was great. Our waitress was terrible however. I'm 100% sure we spoke clear English and told her everything me wanted CLEARLY, in which she had a note pad to write it all down. When we got our food, it looked badly made, not presentable at all. The eggs looked like it was made with a half an egg instead of two. The sausage tasted like they warmed it up frozen for 30 secs just so the ice could melt. The pancakes tasted chewy and old. And to go back to us speaking clearly, I had ordered some pancake puppies that she FORGOT. Also my lady specified certain things in her order that she wanted as well. How do you do "forget" and you've been trained to write on a notepad? lol. Oh! And we also ordered the half-sampler (yea we're fat haha) and the chicken was literally a half an inch thick inside a 5 inch thick fry around it. Whatufuh? -_- All in all it was a bad experience and we were very displeased. We only ended up paying for the half-sampler because we were so hungry we just ate majority of it. We told the manager about the food and he lowkey still looked confused like we were going to pay for that piece of ish. I usually dnt review however when the baby pulls gum from under the table and hands it to daddy, I have an issue. Waiter couldnt get order right, food came out cold and not to mention we didnt get our toast until we was finished with the meal toast had some green stuff on it. Disrespectful, and extremely rude customer service. We are on our way out of town for the holiday weekend. We left San Diego around 5am and a little before 7am decided to stop and grab breakfast. My husband went in ahead of me to use the restroom and grab a table while I woke my girls up and was getting them out of the car. My husband walked in and asked for the restroom, a male employee grumbled and pointed towards the restrooms, as my husband walked by the male employee loudly says to another employee "MAN SOME PEOPLE CAN'T READ" referring to the sign restrooms for customers only. Well, we had planned on being customers, and normally for a family of four spend at least $60, and always tip well. But instead after that vile comment we are heading down the street to ihop. I have never left a yelp review, so that should show how annoyed I am at that sort of treatment. As someone who has been a manager and now is in HR, any employee of mine who was that rude to a customer would be fired on the spot. read more

Denny's is Denny's. But when you allow your customers to be approached by solicitors while eating, I have a big problem with that! There was a young lady who was going from table to table selling candy to customers who were eating their meals. When I asked the .net host if that was allowed, he said no and got the manager who escorted her out. I wouldn't mine her standing outside and asking after we come out but if you let one person do it, rest assured others will follow. It then becomes harassment of the customers. Manager came to our table and spoke with us about it, even offered hot pancakes because he thought mine were getting cold; which I declined. He was very nice and customer-oriented. The worst Denny's. Terrible service. The waitress took more than half an hour to bring a salad and soup, eventhough the restaurant was empty, then she spills the soup all over the floor and my sweater, and I can't even get an apology, she did not even clean the floor. Came in around 545 pm, on a Saturday, I walked in no greeting, I walked towards to back to see if my party had arrived to this location, I was approached by an older Hispanic female black shirt no name tag, little heavy set, she asked me what do you want, I told her I was checking to see if my party had shown up, she said I can not walk through there unless I am being helped, I told her I was just checking to see if my friends had arrived, she said then wait up front, and I was escorted to the front, I was approached by a manager in a baby blue shirt, rude lady, rolled her eyes at me, I told her I was waiting for more friends, I brought 20+ people with me, the manager at first refused to sit up at a table, she said our group is to big they don't think they can sit you all down together, then over heard can we come back later? Seriously 20+ people your refusing to sit us down? We were sat down, our waitress was Deaudra, very unprofessional, she got no one's order right, then brought out our drinks on a tray and sat them at a table and said if you want them go get them walked by to the kitchen, she came out and did not hand food to people just sat the plates on the table and said figure out what you ordered....really wow, then refused to collect the menu's, so I had to collect everyone's menu's and walk them back up to the cash register, where I saw the manager in baby blue she was rude and gave me an attitude, waitress kept bringing out food and drinks we did not order, I went to ask her a question she told me rudely your going to have to wait I am to busy, seriously? A girl in our group ordered a smoothie, she was given an attitude about it and when the drink arrived Deaudra stuck it right in my face handing it to her over me that was disrespectful, there is no reason. Horrible service. Waited 50 minutes for our food that never showed. People seated after us received their food, ate and left and we still hadn't received our food. When I asked the waiter he said he had been asking for them to make our food, yet he had just served people who were seated 30 min after us. Went in with my friends and the service was TERRIBLE. Servers didn't smile or make eye contact. He completely ignored us the first time. Mixed up our orders 3 times. I got the wrong sandwich, I told him it was fine, just don't charge me for the one I originally ordered (because it was more expensive than the one I got), and they still tried charging me for it. And my friend ordered a side of pancakes, which she never received, and they STILL tried charging her for it. After what seemed like forever in waiting for our food, we couldn't even eat because they hadn't given us utensils. And since our waiter was obviously trying to ignore us, we had to wait even longer to get his attention. Finally when he got us our utensils, he didn't hand them to us or even place it next to us, it more like he flung them at us. My friends and I weren't even rude. We work in food services so we know what it's like. We weren't trying to make his day worse or whatever. But that is no excuse to how we were treated. Denny's was a mediocre experience. The food and service is adequate. However, they brought our food to the wrong table. Overall, the food tasted alright. I cannot believe what an awful experience I had at this particular Denny's. It was a Wednesday about 11:30am when we got there. 1 o'clock when we finally were able to leave, since it took soooooo damn long for us to order our drinks, and longer to get to order our food and even longer for the food to get to the table. And the server was the worst. Couldn't follow simple order instructions and was so not helpful. The food was mediocre and so not worth the prices I paid. Under $10, that's a lie. And at the register when the restaurant manager asked me if I'd like to leave a tip, (my total was $76.05) I slowly, reluctantly said, "Umm...yeah, $3.00, I guess. Since the service was so horrible". And I was a bit surprised when he said...NOTHING! Really! I was under the impression it was his job to inquire about such things, and try to make the customer leave somewhat happier. This place sucks. Sister ordered the chicken avocado salad and I the slam burger with my egg cooked over easy. Our orders came in pretty quick but sis found a small black, curly hair and a produce sticker in her salad. We had asked to get it replaced and waitress gladly took it. The service was great. The waitress was super nice. The food, not so great. My girlfriend ordered the pot roast sandwich and it was burned to a crisp. It looked like dark beef jerky. She had never eaten pot roast before and thought it was supposed to be like that but after eating about half she was disgusted and lost her appetite. We try not to be so picky with our food which is why we don't usually complain about food but this was too bad. I came in with a big group. We got a hispanic woman waitress and all of my friends in the group were hispanic as well. I myself am white, and my waitress sure let me know she noticed! When we ordered drinks all i ordered was water, EVERYONE else got their drinks first and she looks at me and goes, "the water wasnt ready" when 3 other people at my table also ordered water and got it immediately. Then we all ordered food. She started with my friend next to me, and immediately jumped to the other side of the table to take everyone elses orders leaving me to order last, even after the men. When i did order, finally. I asked for a ketchup bottle. She walked away not saying anything just rolling her eyes. Then she brought back 2 bottles of ketchup and slammed them down on the table in front of me as if to give me attitude. I said thank you and my friend asked for 2 sides of ranch, she sweetly said "no problem honey" and i asked for a side of honey mustard to which i got no reply. At the time of the check, it was all individually charged per person as we requested. However i noticed nobody else got charged for ranch or side sauces, but she charged me $0.89 for my honey mustard! Racist! Unbelievably horrible service. Not surprising I guess. I don't really get why I even go to this Denny's. #1 it smells when you walk in, like a nursing home. The staff do not seem to have it together... #2 Every time I have ordered from here, something goes wrong. Apparently the Cook on 08/15/2014 at 1:00 pm did not know the difference between bacon and sausage. I ordered the Ultimate Omelet and requested no sausage or bell pepper. When I pick up my order, the girl working my order, showed him that she thought it was sausage and reminded him of my request. He said there was NO sausage in it. When I bring it back to work, there is NO bacon in it, just sausage... Ruined my entire FRIDAY LUNCH. #3 it's not handicap friendly. My last trip on the aforementioned day, a lady in a wheel chair had to scream help for someone to let her out of the restroom because the handicap automatic door opener was broken. They need some serious help here before I return. read more

Even though it's not posted anywhere on their signs, you must walk into the restaurant first and let them know you are parking in their designated spots or run the risk of having your car towed. I went there today for lunch, parked then went to the bank ATM next door to get some cash. Next thing I know my car is being towed away by Cortez Towing. I ran over and explained I was intending to eat there but needed some cash but the driver would only unhook my car if the manager, Roy, approved it. We went inside and I explained the situation but Roy would not allow it giving me some excuse how they lose customers because of lack of parking. The restaurant had about 12 people inside and this was at 12:00 noon during the lunch rush! At this point the tow truck driver would not release my car unless I paid him $80.00, so my car was being held hostage or would be towed to their yard if I refused to pay. Being that the tow truck driver knew the manager by name, I think they may have a racket going involving kick backs when this happens. I asked the tow truck driver if the manager would have allowed me to remain, would he have charged them the $80.00 which he replied no. Even though the manager, Roy, did not actually say it, he pretty much called me a liar in not believing I was intending to eat there. The least he could have done was show me to a table himself and take my order if he wanted to be sure. Instead, Denny's lost a sale that day and a customer for life as I will not patronize them anymore. They need to get a new manager too! read more

Horrible service. Waited 15 minutes before server even acknowledged us or asked for our drinks. Ordered our childs food & after they brought our horrible appetizer they come out with a plate of just french fries saying they ran out of kids pizza that we ordered. They then bring my daughter's food & husbands. I sit there for another 10 minutes without food. Mind you I only ordered a soup & nachos. The nachos were cold & made me wanna throw up. My husband then tells the server he forgot my soup. To what he replied yes sorry bringing it. 2 seconds later my husband & I both see him take it out of the microwave. Like really? If I wanted a microwave soup I would've just stayed home!!!!!! Immediately asked for our check. Then the manager or whoever it was comes up to me with the check & boxes and asks why I didn't eat my nachos. I said I didn't like them. They were cold & nasty. Her response oh well it's one of our most popular dishes. I said good to know but not for me. 36$ later......... waste of money. Never again. I would pay triple the amount to go to cocos or ihop across the street. They never give horrible service like this Dennys did. And NO I wouldn't even give them 1 star. And no they didn't refund me for ANYTHING. This was around 7ish in the night. Never going again. read more
