Breakfast food is always served hot! Our favorite breakfast spot. Quiet in the mornings with very friendly staff. Andrea is a sweetheart. She never lets our coffee cups get empty and stops just to chat. A great family friendly diner. Can get crowded at times. Background music is at an appropriate level.

All these people with negative reviews must not have had Andrea as their waitress. Absolute killer service, fast and efficient! Food was great! Only sitting in Andrea section from now on!

Parking is kind of tough in this lot. There is more parking in the back. Came on the weekend and was seated fast. Service was great and attentive. Food was meh. Tried: Sampler - buffalo chicken was a bit over cooked but rest was okay. Country fried steak and eggs - toast was super burnt. Steak was meh tasting. Hashbrowns weren't crispy at all. Moons over my hammy - nostalgia. A-okay. Kid loved the strawberry stuffed toast. Really pricey for just diner food.

Mehrnoosh is a delight. She's quick and caring. GREAT customer service. She anticipates your need before you do. And this Denny's is rarely busy but it has award certificates on the wall. Very pretty, decorated with patriotic themes. Food is fresh and actually pretty delicious and GREAT value meal prices too. It's always clean too. Coffee is always fresh. Great parking. It's got everything you'd want in a great Denny's location.

For some mysterious reason, they think it's OK to send a DoorDash order with the meat fully burned.

Conveniently located near the 163 Fwy off the Clairemont Mesa Blvd exit on Kearny Villa Rd. next to Arco Gas. We were craving a good dinner meal after a long day event at the Pechanga Arena. We were immediately greeted and seated as we entered. I had their 'Meaty Melt with fries', and my husband had their 'Crazy Spicy Skillet and Eggs.' Everything tasted fresh with that authentic Denny's flavor. For dessert, I had their 'Apple Crisp', so satisfying. Shout out to our server 'Nooshi' who was extremely attentive and helpful with the menu. She is the best server I've ever experienced in every aspect. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated for the season. Overall, we had an amazing dinner experience at this Denny's and will definitely return.

I placed an online order for pick up on Sunday 8/25 for 9 pm as I work shift work and I would be picking the food up on my 30 minute lunch break. My order was for zesty nachos and pancake puppies. When I arrived, the cashier tried giving me someone else's order which included a burrito. I told her that is not what I ordered. She said she had no order matching what I had ordered. I pulled up the email receipt on my phone, showing her that I placed the order at 8:30 pm for 9 pm pickup. The cashier then became argumentative, telling me someone else picked up my order and signed for it. She asked if it was Uber eats or DoorDash, as someone else picked it up. I explained that I was the only one who had the capability of ordering it since it came from my mobile phone, not through a delivery service. Basically, she gave my order to someone else and was upset that I was upset about it. She basically said, too bad, someone else took hour order and signed for it. My guess, she didn't bother to confirm the name and gave it to the first person who walked in and said they had a pickup, considering she was trying to hand off someone else's order to me when I got there. Since I was on a 30 minute lunch break, I told her I didn't have time to wait for the kitchen to remake it, so I'd like my almost $20 order to be refunded. She said no and that I could call tomorrow. When I asked for a managers number/contact info, she gave the general number to the restaurant. Instead of being helpful in any capacity, she scolded ME saying she "didn't have time to argue because she had tables" ...it's 9 pm on a Sunday and there's maybe 3 tables sat in the restaurant. I didn't want to "argue" either, I wanted a simple refund for my food that I paid for that she gave to another patron because they couldn't bother to confirm who or what they were giving away. I'd care a lot less if I wasn't working a 12 hour shift and wasn't immediately greeted with attitude for a mistake I didn't make. A little compassion and grace goes a long way. Ultimately, I left food-less and without a refund. 0/5 if I could.

Come for the Matzo, Stay for the Eye Candy (and the Sweet Chef!)…read more So, I took my grandma out for dinner because she had a massive craving for matzo ball soup. We ordered, but a few minutes later, our waiter came out looking like he had to deliver bad news. He apologized and said the chef refused to serve the current batch because it "wasn't up to his standards." Before we could even process being denied our soup, the chef himself walked out to our table. First of all? The man is dangerously handsome. Second of all? He was incredibly sweet. He politely offered us tomato soup instead, but then saw the heartbreak in my grandma's eyes. He told us, "Look, if you really want the matzo ball soup and can give me 15 minutes, I will go to the back and whip up a brand new, fresh batch just for your grandma." Naturally, we waited. Since he knew we were sharing, this absolute legend threw an extra matzo ball into the bowl so we could each have two. Talk about elite customer service! It really made us realize how much the people here care about the quality of their food. They won't serve you subpar dishes just to flip a table. My grandma was on cloud nine. She officially declared it the absolute best matzo ball soup she has ever had in her life (sorry, family recipe, you've been replaced by a handsome chef).

The place was packed and there were so many people in and out of the Lafayette hotel, as usual. This was a late night dinner so I believe we arrived around 8:30 PM. We were seated right away, which we were really happy about. Every time we come the host that sees us is very nice and customer service oriented. Our server was very nice. We ordered the deviled eggs for the table to share. We also ordered Patty Melts and shakes. I ordered onion rings for my side to my Patty Melt and everyone else got the side of fries. The deviled eggs is a super Duper tiny appetizer. The highlight is that it comes with salmon roll on top which are delicious. Our food came out and I will say that it just tasted OK this time. The patties in the patty melt were undercooked (they looked gray colored not brown) and didn't have as much flavor as they normally do. My onion rings were decent, but they just weren't fried correctly because a lot of them were stuck together. The shakes were the highlight of the meal as they tasted delicious and we enjoyed them. Customer service is always great. It's just that, on this night, the food wasn't as tasty as it was the first time. We hope that the food gets back to the great taste that it used to have soon.
