So this review is for this Dennys on the corner of 1st st and Alma. I came in on 10/24 and was sat down almost immediately but was only given the regular menu. After I asked for the $2,$4,$6,$8 menu the server seemed annoyed and advised me that you can only order something off that menu if you're ordering a full entree from their menu. I've been to plenty of Dennys before and have never been told that! so understand there is 2 or so items that are add ons and I understand, but to be told you can't order a grand slam off of there is a complete lie. The server was a latina woman with brown hair, when she came over to my table I let her know that I placed an online order since she wasn't going to let me order something on that menu without getting an entree but the website did. She seemed annoyed that I did that and when I went up to collect my order she was ringing customers up went to the back and her manager came and gave me my order. Her manager some lady with blonde hair or something still had the nerve to ask me for a 5 star review.... I let her know that I wasn't going to be doing that and why. She seemed like she does that a lot and gets away with it. I advise to stay away from these money hungry folks. read more

I'm on a mission to try all the major food chains I've never been to, so Saturday was my first time at a Denny's. Sadly, I think it might be my last. This location looked very busy when we arrived, but our party of 6 only had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. The atmosphere was chaotic - screaming children everywhere and a display of Alcoholics Anonymous pamphlets in the corner. Our server Melina (who was very sweet) came over right away with menus. I ended up ordering a Raspberry Fuze Tea and a half order of the Zesty Nachos (one of the few gluten free options). It's not that my expectations were high at all, but the nachos were just not good. There was very little cheese and the thick slices of avocado did little to improve the dish. My friends got the Loaded Veggie Omelet, Lumberjack Slam, and Double Berry Pancake Breakfast - all just okay. I'll give credit to the Double Berry Pancakes for having real berries on them (not syrupy preserved ones), but that's about it. Overall, Denny's just isn't for me. read more

This our first visit to this Denny's. Our server, Karen did a magnificent job in getting our order quickly, bringing our food promptly and checked on us to make sure anything was good. She did this even though she was extremely busy tending to several clients. Karen has a nice, pleasant personality. She was very cool and composed in a demanding job where there are so many demands. I will be coming back and hopefully I get Karen to wait on our table. I am also very impressed with Adela, the supervisor. Good reason why this crew provides excellent service. read more

My husband and I came here because they introduced the Beyond Burger to their menu. There was a promotion where you could get a free Beyond Burger with a purchase of a drink. Food: I ordered the beyond burger, a strawberry lemonade, and a side order of fries. The promotion didn't include the fries. The burger was good; I'd order it again the next time I am at a Dennys. The strawberry lemonade sadly had little to no flavor. The strawberry flavor was present because you could see the syrup they added, but the lemonade didn't taste like lemonade. The fries were standard, but I'd order them again. My husband got the country fried steak and eggs. He said they were good, and he would order it again. Service: When we arrived, the restaurant wasn't very busy. We waited shortly before someone came out to seat us. Our server was very nice, but maybe stretched a little thin as service was slow. It took a long time for our food to come out, and I had to hunt for someone when we were ready to pay the bill. TL;DR - It's a Dennys. You kind of know what you're getting into when you go to one. I ordered from Denny's thinking that it was a place called "The Meltdown" on Doordash! I guess when I saw on the receipt that it was Denny's, I wasn't surprised with the quality of the food. My boyfriend and I both ordered the Veggin Melt which was okay. The bread was toasted perfectly, but the sandwich overall was pretty sad. Just a couple pieces of lettuce and some mushrooms. However, the herb spread was delicious to eat with the bread on its own. We also ordered fries that were floppy and sad. No taste to them and no crunch. But the saddest part was the cucumber salad, which was offered as a side but literally in a sauce container! These pics have a ketchup packet next to the container to show the size. It was so small!!!! Anyways, if you're ordering from "The Meltdown" on Doordash, be careful because it's just a Denny's in disguise. read more

After my experience at Denny's this past weekend I have decided I will not be returning. The customer service, (if you can call it that), was pretty much non existent. After 20 minutes of waiting for someone to seat us, they were extremely rude to us and then as they were about to seat us they left for something and took another 5 minutes to come back!!!! Me and my 3yr old son were trying to start our day off with a light hearted, enjoyable breakfast experience at Denny's. He was hungry and confused as to why we weren't be helped.
