NEW Chocolate Cinnamon Milk Shake & Soda
    Madison B.

This location is located right next to 680 on the berryessa exit. Usually fast service here! We tried the new chocolate cinnamon shake for the first time and it was good, very cinnamon forward! I always get the Crazy Spicky Skillet it is so good! It comes with chicken, chorizo, jalapeños, potatoes, and mushrooms! We add the egg and avacodo and drench it with cholula and it is a filling meal! Highly recommend trying the skillet!

Picked up food from here today and still solid as ever! The manager was quite nice and attentive! It was very busy for a Friday afternoon too!

Always hits as a late night/early morning meal! We came at an odd time so all service was very quick. Our server made sure to tell us all the deals we could get with what we wanted to order which helped a lot as we didn't know of them.

Great food, service and affordable prices! This place is something to look forward to when you visit here in Berryesa-

Our waiter was patient however he could use a bit of some help to be a little more successful with servicing our table of 11. Upon bringing our food. The t bone steak was not cooked to our preference. The fish n chips was absolutely burnt and apparently from the manager there is nothing extra to do as the air fryer is timed and that's how it's served. Completely burnt Besides a terrible service and experience. This place could totally benefit from a real supervisor that can lead and prep servers n kitchen folks to succeed. My family and I have been coming here for many years and the service has never been as terrible as it was today... sadly we will not be coming here any longer

Food was great and came pretty quickly. The lady (I believe her name was Rosio) who served us was a great waitress.

I placed a to-go order for a Super Slam and requested no eggs. They charged me for the eggs, and when I questioned it, the server said he couldn't remove the charge. I don't mind paying extra for what I order; however, I do mind if I am overcharged and the extra charge is not removed.

Is it okay to study here late night? Like is it socially acceptable to order coffee/pancakes and study for a couple hours around 1am if it's empty?

Yes!! As long as you buy something they really don't care how long you stay :)

I love having breakfast at Bill's Cafe. Unfortunately, this location is not the same experience as the two other locations I've tried. The hostess told us they had no tables, and we could sit at the bar. My daughter stated she would rather be seated at a table, and we could wait. Three customers were walking past us, and the hostess said we could have their table. We were immediately seated in a booth, and we noticed there were at least five empty tables around us, peculiar. Whatever, we had time to look and decide what we each wanted. When our waiter came for our orders, he was quick and efficient. We didn't have to wait long for our meals and drinks to arrive. We generally liked our food, but the country potatoes were a little too firm, and seemed like they weren't cooked all the way through. We had to wait awhile for refills on our drinks. We caught the hostess walking by, and asked if we could get refills and napkins. She said okay, but brought only napkins, and we waited some more for refills on coffee and water. The hostess seemed a bit brusque, on the other hand our waiter was, quick and professional. I will drive a little further to the Alameda location, because the Newbury location is not as great, or team conscious as the other location.

I appreciated that swapping out the hash browns or country potatoes side for fresh fruit was not an upcharge. Fruit was reasonably fresh, tho there was 1 bad pineapple piece. Hash browns crispy on the outside but too mushy inside. I really enjoyed the beans for some reason...much better than most places. Generous portions. I ordered the steak medium and it came out perfect. Somewhat chewy, but that's how I like my steak. It's like a cross between a western style bbq joint and a middle eastern twist with its meats and food. Turns out, this place is mainly an Afghan restaurant! It's half eatery half a butcher shop for people to come and purchase fresh meats for some home cooking. In fact, I watched a lot of people coming in and ordering meats to go. I ordered their chili lamb kabob which was tender and juicy. It had lots of flavor from the spices but enough to where it wasn't overwhelming. I ordered it on top of a pillow of rice which was fluffy and buttery textured. It was delicious. There are sauce bottles to pair with the meats which is my favorite part. I really liked their white creamy yogurt sauce mixed with their red house chili sauce. It gave my lamb meat so much flavor and some heat. I loved my order and will definitely order two next time. I also want to try their steaks. They take their time grilling their meats so orders can take a short while. It's worth it for sure. No complaints here but I do wish they played some light music in the background for some ambiance. Things can be real quiet in here so it can be awkward dining in. Other than that, I really like this place and will be back for more.

The staff was extremely attentive and nice and we got our food so fast we ordered papaya salad, duck curry, seafood medley, Thai boat noodles. We're a little small, but I appreciate that they were able to accommodate for our spice tolerance. Everything was delicious, no notes across the board for food. For the matcha Thai tea, the Thai tea and matcha were on the lighter side, more creamy side. I wish it was a little bit stronger but I'm glad it also didn't keep me up at night. For dessert, mango Panna, cotta and chocolate lava cake were amazing mango Panna cotta was actually just regular Panna cotta with mango sauce on it though, not mango flavored Panna cotta.

But the birthday girl suggested it, and I'm glad she did. First thing I noticed was the lychee mimosa, which I'd never had before. It comes with a lychee on top, super aesthetically pleasing, and the drink was yummy. We ordered the roti with curry sauce and it reminded me of the ones at Banana Island, which is a huge compliment. The roti was thin and airy, and the yellow curry was thick with that signature bright color and earthy flavor from a heavy turmeric and curry powder base, balanced with creamy coconut milk. I don't normally like calamari, but theirs was very soft and didn't need much chewing. It went really well with the seafood mayo sauce. The pad thai was also good -- they added crispy pork belly, which brought another dimension to an already complex dish with the scrambled egg, tofu, and bean sprouts. The chicken fried rice was solid with all the right Thai flavors: fish sauce, soy sauce, and a touch of sugar. I always order duck mad kee pao whenever I go to a Thai restaurant -- that fiery stir-fry with wide, chewy rice noodles, succulent roasted duck, fresh Thai basil, and crisp vegetables in a rich, savory sauce. I prefer it over pad see ew since it's heavier in flavor and spicier. Theirs delivered. The one miss for me was the crab omelette, which our waitress recommended when we asked. I didn't know what to expect. I've seen this dish on YouTube and know it's a hit in Thailand, and I think it's this restaurant's best seller -- but it ended up being my least favorite. It made me feel very full, probably the combination of rice, egg, and the heavy sauce, and the texture wasn't very complex. It came across as mushy to me. Maybe I just don't know how to appreciate it. Parking may be a problem, so plan for that. Staff was very friendly throughout. My friends got the dirty Thai tea and were jittery afterwards, haha. It was strong!

It was the perfect spot to enjoy the fresh air and made for a really relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant has a great vibe overall, especially if you're looking for an outdoor brunch. (Have not been inside) I ordered the steak chilaquiles, and I'd give them a 8.5/10. The flavors were really good, the sauce was delicious, and I liked the addition of the eggs, avocado, and queso. My only complaint was the steak. I ordered it medium rare, but it came out medium well, a bit dry and was tougher than expected, making it difficult to cut. It was still tasty--just not cooked quite the way I was hoping. The mimosas were good too, a great value. Nothing that really stood out as amazing, but definitely nothing bad about them either--they got the job done. What really elevated the experience was the service. Our server Rebecca was attentive, knowledgeable, kind, and incredibly quick throughout the meal. They checked in at the right times, answered our questions confidently, and made us feel well taken care of without ever being overbearing. Overall, I'd come back, especially to sit on the patio again. With a more tender steak, this meal would've easily been an 8.5 or 9 out of 10!! :)

Our server Charles was really great. He walked us through the menu giving us the 911 on watch to order. Most of the plates were perfect shareable bites. Making it easy to try multiple plates and really get your inner Foodie on. We started with the Seasonal Banana Pancakes with crushed walnuts and cinnamon maple syrup. Inside the pancakes were fresh bananas and the walnuts were crushed very small but added a great texture. Moving on to the Chicago Steak sandwich don't get confused but in Chicago they refer to Roast Beef as steak. The Au Jus dip was very flavorful without being a salt bomb. Loved the potato roll they used all round a killer sandwich. Going a little outside the box we tried the Jerk Chicken Sandwich. The pineapple slaw with this amazing peppery chutney type sauce played so well with the acid of the pineapple. Another must have sandwich. I ask you how can you go to a new restaurant and not have some dessert. With everything else being so good our expectations were pretty high and we were not disappointed. The Giant Profiterole is exactly that GIANT and stuffed with White Chocolate Gelato and Hot Chocolate Sauce that you can drizzle over the top. To fricken die for good.
